Entered from the North and South, this dusty arena is beset by howling, gale force winds from the East to West. Contestants in this arena running in the same direction of the wind have their speed increased by 10m/s, while those moving against the current will have their movement speed decreased by 10m/s. This effect is conferred to projectiles and jutsu speeds alike. However, these winds are not natural, and instead generated by jutsu used by proctors instructed to change the direction of the gust: each posting round, the direction of the wind reverses (East to West, then West to East, then East to West again, etc)

This is it, he thought to himself. He's taken the first step to his path of becoming a great shinobi. It all started with this exam. The sound of the match beginning, the roar of crowds surrounding the outside of the arena. The time of year where hundreds would go to another's village to witness or partake in the legendary, Chuunin exams. It was the most enjoyed time of the year from young to old alike where they get to spectate the birth of potential, young and great shinobi. Entering from the north entrance of this arena, Kizmaru stepped in full of confidence, from the way he was clutching his left arm with his right, rotating his left hand to loosen his wrist out. He's never been in an official match before and was eager to see what he could do here after all the training he's put himself through. Regardless, he signed up and came to the exams with the intention of winning and he wasn't gonna back down regardless of who his opponent was. He was excited but he remained calm knowing, if he got ahead of himself it would be his downfall. The first thing he noticed was the wind was abnormally powerful despite it being an enclose arena. He wasn't sure of this a natural thing, created by some kind of strange device or made with a jutsu as a sort of detrimental environment for the combatants. Either way, it may or may not prove useful to him in the near future.

He walked a bit further into the arena from the north entrance to an open area with a couple of bushes scattered. There were at least seven of them in the general area he had chosen to start in. He was roughly eighteen meters away from the entrance he had came through but he believe this would be a good start to start in. He relaxed a bit and assumed his combat stance, outstretching his left arm a few inches from his chest with an open hand, curling his fingers as well as outstretching his right almost double the length, also with open curling his fingers whilst bending his knees as well, completing the stance. He took a few practice swings as well to make sure he was in top form, which of course he was. Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself for the fight that was to ensue. Now then, all he had to do was wait for his opponent to arrive to the battle and begin the match. He had hoped it would be soon, he'd like to get this over with as quickly as possible.

Kizmaru had finished throwing the practice blows when his opponent was approximately twenty five meters away and resumed his stance. He then watched her to see where she would stop and what her first course of action would be. So, it seems the woman was fifteen meters away from Kizmaru. That was a pretty good distance for mid-ranged combat. The strong, gale force winds that were initially blowing East to West were now blowing from West to East and Kizmaru made a mental note of it. He was definitely gonna use it in his favor now. Kizmaru wasn't sure how it would play into her offensive strategy but he remained on guard to see what came next. Keeping his eyes on his opponent, Kizmaru watched her perform some sort of jutsu in his general direction. He wasn't sure what happened in all honesty, to him it just looks like she was whistling. He noticed the sound of the wind increased, but the feeling of it on his skin did not change, and that it was a strange occurrence. He didn't know what kind of strange technique this was but he would be sure to remain on guard for anything out of the ordinary. He continued to watch the female as she got ready to throw one of her shuriken at him. This was a rather odd attack pattern. Kizmaru was starting to have some doubts on whether she had a brain or not. Still, she may have some trick up her sleeve that she may know and he doesn't. The shuriken that was thrown at him was thrown vertically at him, had started to deviate to the east from it's course due to the strong winds cause by the effect of the arena. Kizmaru then pivots, sliding about half a meter to the west, effortlessly evading the shuriken with little wasted movement. Shortly after evading, Kizmaru advanced towards the woman, at moderate running speed for seven meters before stopping and taking up his stance once more. His eyes were locked on her center of gravity, making sure that he could react at any sudden deviations.

Kizmaru continued paid close attention to his opponent as well as the flow of the winds. It seems the winds had changed to the initial direction of blowing East to West from West to East. Kizmaru wasn't fazed by this change as it seems this was natural for this arena. Still, there was the problem of another seal being used without knowing what it does as well as the two shuriken coming his way. He decided the best of action was to just deflect with a jutsu and advance. Dodging one was fine but he was worried about not being able to evade the other one in time since it seems the one from the east is moving faster due to being carried by the wind. He formed the seals for Snake, Ram, Monkey, Boar, Horse, Tiger gathering flame chakra in his mouth and spewed flames from his mouth starting with the east shuriken first since that one is moving faster before concentrating his stream to the westward shuriken. He aimed carefully at the top of the shurikens so when the stream of flames hit, they would spiral down and crash into the ground in an attempt to lodge them in the ground. Kizmaru would then use this time to dash towards his opponent, traveling eight meters. When he was a few inches away from his opponent, Kizmaru reached out towards the female's shirt collar with both hands and pulled her towards his body while simultaneously falling backwards to the ground and lifting then pressing his leg on her lower abdomen. He curled his body on the floor and pushed his right leg into her lower abdomen while letting go, kicking her over his body. If this succeeds, Kizmaru would get up and resume his stance.

Round One: Kizmaru vs. Uchiha Aikiko. The Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu has a range of 40 meters. This technique was cast in the flamethrower variant while 10 meters away from Aikiko, and then twists his head as to catch the two shuriken thrown at him in the stream of flames to stop their momentum. The flames would continue on past these shurikens without having its momentum deadened, and as the winds changed directions once again it would blow this jutsu towards Aikiko at 10 m/s faster than its usual speed, traveling at 30 m/s. Aikiko has a substitution present but did not use it in reaction to the fire-breath that would be traveling at her. The Howling Sheath that she had active on her weapon would additionally not stand to the Great Fireball Jutsu, losing out from the interactions of elemental natures. Based on the ignored Great Fireball Jutsu, Aikiko would take the brunt of the flames.

Based on this, Kizmaru wins the round.
