Makato
D-rank
The guitar music seemed to keep Makato moving vibrantly today. Since he had heard an old man playing classical guitar outside of a restaurant the other day, it was stuck in his head, and seemed to illustrate every action he took. He took a step at every beat, hummed along to the melody, and couldn't get it out of his head. Today he was basically cleaning up Iwagakure. He had only recently cleaned up Gesei Lake. It was very dirty and he managed to clean it up with only a sharp stick and a basket. He managed to clean it up quite quickly, though, and he was sure he could do the same with the park. When he came upon view of the park, everything looked to be completely fine. There were kids swinging, families eating and a bit of green grass. However, as he approached the park on closer inspection he notices a multitude of problems which needed immediate aid. There were broken swings, benches, graffiti sprayed on walls and tables, debris, knocked over trashcans, dying grass and a depletion of plants. Makato sighed, walking over to sit down at one of the park benches. Makato was given a bag which he carried over his shoulder. He swung the bag over his shoulder, landing it on the floor. Upon opening the bag, he could view all of it's inside contents: a hammer, some nails, some rope, some paint, some seeds, a brush and a watering can.
Makato stood up, looking around the park first for the most obvious problem. The grass. Most of the grass was green, but there was a spot where the grass was brown, and dying. Makato ripped out the grass, dug out it's roots and dug small holes around where the brown grass was. Makato put a few grass seeds in the area, then covered them back up with dirt again. He then got his watering can and watered gently over the dirt. Makato put his hands on his hips, already feeling accomplished as he went back to his bag of supplies to first store his watering can and grass seeds, then to scope out a new problem. He looked around and found a swing and some rope on the floor under a tree. He went over to inspect it. The rope had detiorated overtime, making the entire swing fall off. Makato went over to go get his supply bag, bringing it over to the swingset. Next to him, some kids were swinging and laughing. Occasionally they would look over at him to see what he was doing, and Makato would smile back nicely. Makato took out a long, sturdy rope and threw it over the thick branch which supported the swings. Once it was over it, he picked up the pieace of wood and slid the rope under and around it. He tied the rope in a knot so that the rope was now completely filled. Makato took out his hammer and a few nails. On the bottom of the wood, as well as the two sides where the wood and rope are connected, Makato hammered them into each other. The swing was now complete. Makato wiped the swing off and nodded. As he took his supply bag elsewhere, he noticed a young kid use the swing right after he left.
Makato smiled at the thought of helping the kids. He looked around, scoping the park to see what there was left to do. Well, he was given some more seeds to plant, and he saw a small lot of fertile dirt to plant them. One of the benches was missing a leg, and had some graffiti on it. Makato decided to fix the bench first. He walked over to the bench and leaned over, getting on his knees to inspect it. The bench had fallen in the direction that the wooden leg was supporting it. Makato simply lifted the side of the bench and placed the supporting leg back under it. He then instilled a few nails to make sure it wouldn't break again. He put the hammer and nails away, then walked around the fixed bench to inspect all of the grafitti on it. The bench was brown, and Makato was given threee different shades of brown and white. Makato chose the darkest brown, which seemed to match the bench's color well enough. He grabbed his brush and dipped it into the dark brown paint, carefully stroking the brush over the grafitti in the same motion. Once he had finished that, the park was already beginning to look good. The last job he had was to plant the seeds. He put his brush and can away, sealing it so it wouldn't leak, then making his way to the lot of soil.
Makato began to dig a wide, 6 inch hole to put the seeds in. He didn't even know what the seeds would produce. maybe a bush, some trees. Fruits? Makato didn't really care as long as it was good. Once the hole was finished, Makato ripped open to bag of seeds and poured the them across the hole. As he did with the grass seeds, Makato covered them up, replacing all the soil which he had dug up in the hole, and then brought out his watering can to water the seeds again. He put the can away and jumped onto of the bench, putting his hands on his hips and looking around at all of the park. He smiled, waving goodbye to all of the kids at the park as he walked away. "hummm, hmm dum dum dummmm" the guitar music continued as Makato walked back to the secretary to collect ryo.
