Having finished up his brief meeting with the exchange program, the administration’s office didn’t seem to mind a new Genin going out solo to an allied country. His cousins were excited for him, even going as far as to give him a going away present. A cup of water. Banters of laughter following afterward obviously, but saddened that he was leaving so soon without having done more missions in the Land of Fire. They held a small get together before heading out where he bid his last goodbyes to his extended family and made sure that his plants would be tended to during his absence.
“Okay here we go!” the young Genin thought to himself, looking at his permissions papers as he walked out of the village with a light luggage and some snacks. He was hoping to better his understanding of the relationships among the nations and thought why not start in the Village Hidden in the Mist. Perhaps even forming a better understanding and improving his more developed Suiton. However he couldn’t help the thought that he was ignoring his weaker element…. Earth. A thought for another day, he was sure he could find some Doton within the borders.
He even started weaving some mock hand seals, thinking of new jutsus he might learn along the way. “Perhaps a water dragon!” he excitedly thought “Or even a pack of wolves like I’ve seen a few Chunin do” the possibilities were endless. Even developing one for himself wasn’t out of the question. This would be a long and strenuous process but he was ready. There was doubt that jutsus would come so readily and easily to him as he still did not have a single wood jutsu in his arsenal.
He wasn’t very adept at other forms of jutsu. Perhaps looking into what sorts of medical technique Kirigakure has to offer, but he would first have to find a sensei to teach him. As of now he’s only really had the chance to show of his Ninjutsu.
“Last call! Boat to the Land of Waves” the boatmen called out as the Senju began approaching the docks “Setting sail in five minutes!”
“Oh!” he reacted with a sudden burst of speed and quickly started making his way down the hill towards the shoreline. “That’s me” he thought. He knew he would make it by then but he’d rather have his seat and take time rest.
The boatmen spotted him nodded their heads and simply waited. He showed them his permission papers and was lead into the small but quaint seating areas. It wasn’t anything flashy and appeared to only accommodate those in it for a short trip. The onboard bell rang and the boatman called out to the sailors on board, making sure everyone was ready to sail. Callouts were made until the ship began taking motion. Horns blared and Sachihiro could hear the sound of the ships engine running smoothly.
He found a seat near the front of the ship where he could see the vast ocean in front of him. The waves were calm and quiet, simply hearing the sound of the water’s movement and the seagulls that lingered above. He opened up his luggage and took out a small snack to munch on. “Smooth sailing from here” he thought to himself “Guess I’ll take a nap.”
He placed his head on his luggage and shut his eyes. There were barely any people on the ship so he figured he best time to find rest would be now. All that was left to do was wait.
