D-rank
All of these missions of the original creations of Ano, and have simply been rebranded for Iwagakure due to their lack of missions.
Mission name: Our Bread and Butter: Arms in Arm.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Retrieve munitions.
Location: Tsuchi no Kuni Border.
Reward: 300 ryo.
Mission description: It's your average courier shipment duty. They’re carrying various ninja supplies along with munitions, just make sure they’re not bothered.
Mission details: Guarding a caravan like this can be dangerous, as its size is nothing more than a big target for bandits. Don't let them damage any of the merchandise, or you fail the mission. The marauders that attack the outskirts know better than to work alone, and frequently will attack in numbers ranging from 10 to 15. Not all of these will be ninja; the ones that do have shinobi training will be lower C-rank in prowess. The ones that do not more than make up for their lack of jutsu with sheer physical prowess, bordering C-3 in physical stats like Strength and Endurance.
Mission name:Adjunct Teacher: Fresh Graduates.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Deliver some interactive teaching.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato.
Reward: 300 ryo.
Mission description: The newest set of Academy students has just graduated, but they will still need some more hands-on training. They know the foundational ninja skills: show them the basics of formations and battle tactics.
Mission details: They probably won't respect you if you're a Genin, so getting them in line might be a bit difficult. If someone gets out of line, deal with them without seriously hurting them.
Mission name: Patrol: Gate Duty.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Guard one of the gates protecting Iwagakure.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato.
Reward: 300 Ryo.
Mission description: You've been chosen on rotation to check people's credentials and ask their business before allowing them into the village.
Mission details: You'll be given a Wireless Radio for this mission only. If you come across a remotely suspicious figure, call for backup, no exceptions. Even if you think you can handle them, they might be more than you bargained for. Situations can escalate very quickly.
Mission name: Charting: The Earth's Domain.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Map the maze of underground tunnels.
Location: Underground Tunnels - Tsuchi no Kuni Wilderness.
Reward: 300 Ryo.
Mission description: These underground tunnels have been giving us a lot of trouble, with many people getting lost in there. It’s time for someone to start mapping them out, but don’t go too deep.
Mission details: Requires having done the D-rank "Charting" mission, otherwise you have less of a grasp on cartography than this more complicated area calls for, reducing your payout.
There isn't any sort of enemy or predator here unless you go too deep, but some parts of these caves can crumble easily. You also won’t be able to see more than 3 meters in front of you unless you came equipped with your standard head light. Some fire might be pretty handy as well.
Mission name: War on Gangs: Disruption.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Foil a petty crime.
Location: Tsuchi no Kuni.
Reward: 300 Ryo.
Mission description: The crime in Iwagakure has been more common recently, and the police seems to be having some trouble. We need someone to show these new criminals that they can't just get away with whatever they want.
Mission details: Unlike the previous patrol mission, this mission has you actually deal with an issue instead of reporting it. If the occasion arises, this mission can be applied mid-thread, although previous word count will not count towards the mission’s completion. You get some extra ryo if you are doing this mission to stop a Player Character(s).
Mission name: Lifetime: A Sparring Exercise.
Mission rank: C
Objective: Find someone of the same rank - no matter their village or affiliation - and engage in consensual sparring.
Location: Tsuchi no Kuni.
Reward: 300 ryo.
Mission description: Recently, relationships between villages have been going south. This mission is a kind of nationwide game that any shinobi can participate in but is mostly focused on the genin and chunin rank. By sparring fellow shinobi, you might just make a new friend.
Mission details: Sparring with a fellow shinobi will bring both parties closer together. So long as you give your all and best, you will get a reward for participating. This mission is for within the Iwagakure borders only, but you can strengthen our international bonds by sparring with visitors.
This mission may be done with an NPC, but may also be completed with one or multiple player characters.
If you engage in a 2v2 team battle, the reward increases by 50 ryo. If it's a 3v3, everyone gets 100 more Ryo instead. (A Chūnin counts as two Genin, and a Sp.Jōnin counts as three Genin or two Chūnin.)
Mission name: Field Trip: Waterfall Point.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Clean up the factory.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato – Waterfall Point.
Reward: 300 Ryo.
Mission description: An Academy class is going on an a field trip to Waterfall Point, for a lesson on natural water flow and how it can be used to nourish an entire village. Part of this is showing their respect, by picking up whatever trash they fight near the water or repairing the pier that extends over the water.
Mission details: There's no animal or person here that would hurt the students, but they're clumsy, so it's possible they might hurt themselves. The pier might even have some rotted boards or railings, so something might happen. Make sure it doesn’t happen.
Mission name: Delivery Rounds.
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Protect a courier.
Location: Tsuchi no Kuni.
Reward: 300 Ryo
Mission description: A merchant simply has a few deliveries he has to do, but he's old and frail. Fend off the beasts of the desert, or worse; do your job while he does his.
Mission details: If you leave the Land of Earth on this mission's business, the travel thread also counts as mission WC. However, you will also very likely be attacked by Rogue Ninja of D and C-rank on the border if you do.
The ninja have varying specializations, from Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, long-range Bukijutsu, Kugutsu, Medical, and Genjutsu; between the 3 Ninjutsu users, they have access to all elemental libraries and the Ninjutsu library. They have C-rank weaponry and a B-rank puppet. They use guerrilla tactics to take down their foes, and will frequently hit-and-run you with stealth genjutsu, mainly focusing on the Sly Mind Affect technique to wear their targets down.
Most of them are D-rank and have D-3 or C-0 stats, while 2 of the 7 will be C-rank and have C-3 or B-0 stats.
