Mission Details: A relatively simple mission, scouting assignments involve venturing out into the wilderness or locating groups of civilians and refugees for Iwa to evacuate and help organize between the visiting nations to best divide the crisis. The desert is filled with rogue thieves and native wildlife which may or may not interfere with these assignments.
The young shinobi loved the feeling of the desert wind flowing across his face as he moved across the desert, it had been so long since he had gotten to enjoy being back within the desert of the land of wind. Nearly a year has pasted since the boy had left his home and this desert behind, and not a day had gone by that he did not long to return to its warm sands. He was not here to have fun and this was no vacation, like with everyday since his arrival back in the land of wind, the boy had a job to do. Rebel forces in the eye's of the Raikage, but in the eye's of the young boy they were mere low life criminal, had been spotted setting up camps all over the land of wind. His job today was to find out all the information he could on as many of these camps that he could manage. These bandits have done nothing but ruin the boy's former home, had it not been for them as well as the corruption of the former leadership of the village hidden in the sand consorting with them, then the village would have never been attacked amd destroyed. The village would of had a better defense if it held a more righteous heart, but alas twas not the fate that was decided for his village.
The boy pulled out his small pad of paper making note of a small camp he could see in the distance, it was too early in the day for him to be able to get a close look it without them seeing him so he would just have to come back to it later for that. Pulling out his compass and the map that the administration had given him of the land of wind, the boy would mark the camps location on the map before putting it back up and heading back out to find the next camp. Luckily at this distance he doubted they would be able to see him, and even if they did by the time they would reach where they saw him he would be long gone. That made the fifth camp he had found within the last hour and a half, and the twelveth one of the day in total. While it seemed that most were spread out away from the others, there was the occasional few that would be closer together than the others. This possible suggested that the groups were working together, or could even be they are the same group just spread out to cover their territory. Either way the boy had no way of really telling at this point, he would have to wait until he was done scouting and was able to actually study his findings.
Of course the land of wind is far to vast for the young shinobi to be able to explore all of it on his own, luckily he only had to search a section of it. To make things easier as well as speed along the process, the administration had divided the land of wind into sections sending out a shinobi to each section to explore and report back the activity that they discovered. While the boy was happy that they had done so as it meant that he did not have to spend months exploring the entire desert, he also knew it would hinder his investigation into whether the bandits were claiming territory or working together. He doubted that he would be able to get access to the information from the other sectors as it was for the administration not a special jounin. So it left only two options, one was to base his investigation solely off what he finds himself or he forgets about it and lets the administration hash it all out.
Finding another camp the boy would slow his pace, taking cover behind a sand dune. Slowly poking his head over the dune to get an estimated guess of how far he was from the camp, before pulling out his compass to find the direction they were from him. The boy would then pull out his map, and tracing the estimated distance based off of where he marked the last one and how far he had travelled, the boy would make yet another mark on the map. Having completed his mission the boy headed back to the border camp to turn in his report as well as to see if he could find any connection with the different camps.
