“So….how did you get all the money for this?” Maikeru was on the boat with Chie. A very luxurious boat. The two were standing near the edge, leaning over to see the sea. They were on their way to Kiri. . “That is none of your concern. Just enjoy it. Mkay?”
“Why are you so secretive?”
“For the reason being that I have things that I don't want you to know. For my own reasons.”
“Fine. You are such a pleasure to talk to.”
“Why do you need to feel the need to talk to me? To find out about me? That has nothing to do with our working together.”
“It's called building rapport. It helps having our arranged time with each other bearable and can even lead to it being enjoyable. It helps us develop trust with one another and allows us to be adequate as a team.” Chie touched her chin and stared into the water. The boat ripped through it, the waves moving in a V shape. “I was born in The Land of Tea…and that's it for today.”
Maikeru gave a smile. “I guess I should take it a little at a time.” The two noticed a bunch of people heading quickly to downstairs. Maikeru stopped a young couple. “Hey! Where is everyone going?”
“To the lower part of the ship. It's a Taijutsu Match. The champ vs some new comer. It's going to be awesome.” The two continued to run down to go see the fight. Maikeru turned to Chie. “You up to see the fight?”
“I suppose”
The two continue to see the fight. There was a larger man. Much larger. He started it throw punches into the much crawnier man. A left and a right. The smaller man was getting beaten up pretty badly. The Large Man, known has Chikara was using boxing Taijutsu, throwing powerful punches left and right. One to the head. Another to the gut. He was giving him a full assault, until the referee stopped the brutality. Maikeru could recognize strength but something seemed off. Very off. “This doesn't make sense. His form is all wrong. He is fighting like an amature. Yeah, his strength is pretty good, but it's like that's all he has.”
“He is from a village where there aren't much for fighting. These aren't Shinobi. They're performers. And they can easily fool everyone here because they are bureaucrats, wealthymen not fighters.”
“Pft. This is an insult to Taijutsu fighters everywhere. I mean really”
After the small scrawny man was beaten, the ref took the “champ’s” hand and raised it into the air, symbolizing his secure reign as the champion. The champ grabbed the belt and put it around his waist. He spoke up in his proud manly voice. “Come on! I'm accepting anyone who can fight! Come for my title!! Just try it!!”
Maikeru was pissed. “The gall of this asshole! He knows he's the only one who can marginally fight here!” He whispered angrily and spat venom.
“Let it go, Maikeru.”
“HEY!! I'LL FIGHT YOU!!” Maikeru ran towards a scream, despite Chile’s rather silent yet blatant disapproval. “He climbed into the ring, and looked at the man.”
“Hahahaha. Alright little fella. Go run along. Only men need to be in this ring not boys.”
“You sound scared. Chickening out seems natural for a man like you.” Chikara started to look visibly angry.” What did you say?” He stared at the smiling Maikeru before regaining his composure. “Alright but I'll go easy on you.” Maikeru walked across the ring into a corner, and Chikara into the opposing one. The bell rung and Maikeru ran towards him. The bold and aggressive move caught Chikara off guard. Maikeru jumped to deliver a forward dropkick to his chest, shoving him back into the turnbuckle. And then Maikeru whooped his ass.
The end.
