Simikiel

Simikiel

D-rank
So, this was freedom?

For Simikiel, the past few weeks were interesting, to say the least. As someone who had never tasted freedom without being shadowed by someone who was anything but friendly. Knowing that around the corner, the guard, who was assigned to him by his mother, wanted nothing more to break him in every way possible. The ideal of not having to worry about said individuals, trying to get the drop on him when his mother was not around, or having to deal with his own mother’s late-night visit for sexual conquest when her husband was busying himself with one of the slaves, was surreal to him. Admittedly, the first few nights were rough for him. He did not get much sleep, waking up either at the time when his mother usually came into his room for sessions, his body sickly reacting in preparation for such taboos acts, or staying up with Snowflake who was dealing with her own issues.

Speaking of his Snowflake, he did not have to ask the woman what was wrong. He knew exactly what she was dealing with. They have both lived through and survived hell with the scars, mentally and physically to prove it. He knew everything that was done to her; his mother made sure not to leave out any detail. It is her way in an attempt to break him the past. And, if it wasn’t his mother, the guards would brag about what they did or hear what happened to the woman. Oh, the number of times he wanted to kill everyone who ever laid o hand on the woman who he cared about more than anything. But, he knew, the moment he did that, his life was forfeit. So, yes, Simikiel knew exactly what Jihi was going through. And, he did not mind staying up with her for however long as necessary. Getting her mind off of the dark thoughts by asking her questions regarding the village or what she had done after she had escaped, anything to keep her thoughts away from the past.

Despite spending time in trying to keep her thought from straying to that of vengeance, he did not try to completely change her mindset. Vengeance was a nasty thing, and those who walk it should prepare two graves, one for their enemies, and another for themselves. He did not want to see her walk down the path, but, knew if she did, he would follow her without a second thought. He was named after the angel of vengeance, a benevolent being who followed vengeful men on the conquest of others. And, just like the benevolent angel, he would follow Jihi into the deepest recess of hell and back. He would be there to pick her up throughout her quest, healing her wounds and being beside her at all times. And, once the vengeance had been completed? He would be the one to mend her back together and carry her out of the path. It was just the type of person who he was.

A trip?
When Jihi had mentioned about venturing to Fire Country, Simikiel was immediately on board with the idea. The thought of leaving Water Country for some time was appealing, to say the least. He figured it would do them both some good to get away from the general place of their hell. Not only that, he could not deny wanting to explore things in Konoha, having only been two Sunagakure and Kumogakure whenever on business with his mother. Never had he been to Konohagakure.
Which was why, before the night of the trip, he filled several scrolls with clothing, the few weapons he had, medical items, and other necessities either of them would need for the trip.

Following Jihi out of the apartment, they shared, waiting for her to lock the door, his right reaching out, and interlocking with hers. Nothing was needed to be said, as he followed her out of the village, passed the gates, and making their way to Konoha at a leisure pace... Seeing the gates of Konoha in the distance, he wonders what adventures were in store for them?
