Mission description: You've been assigned night patrol along with several other genin, chunin, and even a few special jounin, your job is to roam the you've been given along with your assigned squad, or even alone if you're assigned that way, and just make sure the village remains safe. As a D-rank mission your job is to report any serious threats before attempting to engage in them.
Mission details: It's pretty normal and safe, maybe the occasional weird thing to happen.

The night sky looked beautiful Raphael thought to himself as he walked the street of Kumogakure, the village was quiet not a single sound could be heard. Raphael had begged the village high ups for a job that would be a step above those that he had been sent on in the past few weeks, he wanted to prove to them that he was ready for the bigger missions. To his surprise they agreed, gave him a spot on the night patrol of the village, it was exactly what he wanted and surely there would be something that bumped in the night something for him to do. It was now going on the third hour and nothing had happened, he had not even seen a stray cat running around like they usually do the village was in an odd state of complete silence. All in all it seemed to Raphael to be a waste of time, which was probably the only reason that the leadership agreed to him taking the mission because everyone else knew it to be a waste of time. "Raphael how's it look on your end?" Came a voice over the radio snapping the young shinobi from his thoughts and back to reality and the task at hand. "All clear," the boy replied into his oan speaker, Raphael did not really know the other shinobi he was simply thrown into a squad with three others, two of them Chuunin and the squad leader a special jounin. Making Raphael not only the youngest but the lowest ranking member of the team, something that he did not like in the least mainly due to the fact of the other boys constant jokes about it being past his bed time or something to do with his age or rank anything they could do to prove they were some how better than Raphael.

Raphael was thrilled to say the least when the squad leader decided they would all split up to better cover the area, Raphael only wished that there was a little more excitement, he'll any kind of excitement would be welcomed at this point.  A loud crash in the distance cut through the silence of the night, "squad leader I have possible incident please respond to my position." Raphael said quickly into the radio as he took off towards the direction the scream had come from. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop as fast as he could searching for the source of the disturbance, he did not get a response from his squad leader so he put in the call again, "Squad leader I repeat possible incident near my location, disturbance heard currently searching for source please respond." However only static greeted his words, Raphael took the wireless radio and threw it across the rooftop. "Stupid thing why can't you work!" He shouted at it as he quickly formed the hand signs he needed for his wind sense, through which he could hopefully find the person or persons who called out for help since he was not getting a response from his squad. He could not sense any movement through his jutsu, yet he knew the cry came from close by so he changed his direction slightly to see if maybe he just went in the slight wrong direction. He sensed a blimp on the edge of his sense radius, it wasn't enough to tell what it was exactly however considering it was the only thing he could sense around him Raphael figured he might as well check it out to see if it might of been the noise that had drawn his attention to the area in the first place.

There was no movement now yet Raphael continued to the area where he felt the blimp hoping for some kind of clue, as he approached the alley way where he had felt the blimp originate from he stayed on his guard and looked for any clues that he might find in the area. He crept up to the alley way taking cover against the wall before jumping out in hopes of surprising whoever was in the alley. Unfortunately for Raphael he was the only one that got a surprise as two alley cats bolted out from the trash cans and took off running, nearly taking Raphael out at the knees as the burst past him in their attempt to escape. "Damnit!" The young shinobi yelled as the cats ran by scaring him, nearly giving him a heart attack before he kicked the trash can in frustration. The cats obviously were the cause of the noise he had heard earlier probably knocking over a trash can or something similar, now he was glad that the rest of the squad had not responded to his call for assistance cuz then he would of looked like more of a fool than he currently felt. He could not believe he had let himself get so worked up over something so small, his heart rate was still rapid giving the boy the feeling that his heart was about to jump out of his chest. Taking a few minutes for his breathing to normalize, Raphael decided that the only thing that he could do now was to retrace his steps and find his radio, who knew maybe throwing it up on that roof helped it to work better he thought to himself as he headed back the way he had came. As he drew closer to the roof he had thrown his radio he heard a faint call coming from the other end of the radio, "Raphael, report in don't make me come looking for you."

The boy bent down picking up the radio to respond, "yeah I'm here," the young shinobi replied to the voice. "Where the he'll have you been! Ive been calling you for a check in for the past fifteen minutes. What was that about a disturbance?" Raphael eyes went dark though he knew the man on the other end of the radio could not see him he had a look on his face that said oh now you want respond to that do you. "Everything is fine, just some cats fighting in the alley," Raphael reported biting his tongue rather than speaking out to him not answering his call earlier. "Good patrol is over, report in to the administration and return the radio and go home, you did good tonight kid." came the voice of his squad leader over the radio. Raphael was surprised he did not think it had already been six hours but he was not one to argue he was more than eager to be done with all of this and return to his home to rest up a little before continuing his training in the morning. "Sure thing boss," Raphael stated with a smile as he turned the radio off and headed back to the administration office to turn in his equipment and receive payment for his work. The walk back to the office was almost as uneventful as the rest of the night had been, with the exception of run in with the cats it was a peaceful and quiet night. "I hope I dont have to write up a report on the cats," he said aloud to himself as he thought back over the details of his night, the last thing he wanted to do was write a report. Raphael decided that if they asked he would just say it had been a peaceful night, besides it was not like there had been an actual incident and no one actually responded to him when he made the call in the first place. So by all accounts by Raphael's recors it was a quiet night with nothing interesting happened and there was nothing to call for a need to write up a report, as he drew closer to the administration office he saw the sun rose beginning to rear its head over the mountains of Kaminari no Kuni, "so much for getting to bed before sunrise" he said aloud though no one was around to hear him.
