...The search for answers never ceases…
Her time in Konohagakure no Sato was coming to a close. She had met some interesting friends, and even a Uchiha who had turned into somewhat of a love interest. As much as Destiny had wanted that to work out, it simply seemed destined not to: she herself was on a mission to find her sister Demitria or anything she could about where she had gone, while the Uchiha had a sickly cousin to look after and fret over. In Destiny’s case she had found proof of her Destiny’s whereabouts elsewhere, namely in Kumogakure, and thus she had to move on. Neither had blamed the other for their decisions, and both had accepted them. If anything Destiny was hopeful that it would give her a friend to eventually come back and visit at some point in the future - they both had an excellent sense of fashion and taste in art after all. Still, it was hard to pull herself out of bed that morning, and harder still as she made her way around her hotel room in search of any missing items she might have looked over the previous night when she had cleaned out her dresser drawers and gone about packing her things up.
... You’re really just stalling for time, now, aren’t you?...
Even though she had got a shower the previous evening so that she wouldn’t have to worry about it as she was preparing to clock out she couldn’t help but step back in, stripping off her nightclothes and grabbed a fresh towel off of the pile sitting on the counter. She took her time showering, skipping out on washing her hair since she had done so the previous night, and instead keeping it up in the braid she had plated on both sides of her head while her hair was still somewhat damp. She washed herself thoroughly, not bothering to rush and simply allowing the shower to wake her up while her mind drifted off onto other things - mainly the Uchiha she was leaving behind. As she rinsed off, shutting the shower off afterward, she couldn’t help but sigh as she went about drying herself off. She knew there was no use in fretting over the decisions they had made, but it didn’t make it any easier.
With her thoughts in a jumble she dressed in the simple gray sweater she had picked out, a pair of black leggings, and black knee high leather boots. She tugged her sweater down comfortably, the end of which rested right below her buttocks, before pulling the braids out of her hair one at a time, and brushing her long and wavy pink colored locks once finished. Make-up, mainly eyeliner and black mascara, were added as an afterthought, as well as a touch of lipgloss. With nothing left to do to kill anymore time, or make her decision any easier, she packed up her night clothing and then slipped the scroll into the shoulder bag she carried everywhere for safe keeping.
... It’s not normally this hard to leave…
Destiny grabbed the hotel room keys, hitting the lights before walking out and locking the door behind herself - leaving the room as clean as possible considering she had stayed there for well over a month. Downstairs she stopped at the reception desk, waiting her turn in line before checking out and heading on her way: each step towards the Konohagakure no Sato village gates seeming to drag - then again, this was the first time she was leaving someone behind who she had actually bothered getting close to.
She waved goodbye as she left, heading out down a path traveled by many before her, a path that many after her would take too, as she made her way out of the forests and into the mountains: to Kumogakure no Sato, a sight which welcomed her after quite a bit of traveling. ”Perhaps my answers can be found here…”, she found herself muttering beneath her breath as she arrived.
