Manipulating people is a game, a game in which one person who has the capacity to control others makes full use of such a talent and by using said talent, they can change the world as they see fit.
Sunagakure was no more, the land of wind was no more. There was only chaos, only disorder and despair. A nation had fallen and the world did not care, time did not stop. However, as time moved on, so did seemingly the people, for a new power had risen.
From out of nowhere, people had crossed the desert, without a word, without a single declaration, those people started working, building and creating. Those who lived in the ruined remains of sunagakure no sato could simply watch and wait or join the growing horde of working people. As time passed on, half of the village had already started joining this insurmountable workforce, yet still no one knew what they were building, what the intention was and who was funding this entire project.
Sand was dug up, glass and crystal hacked away and melted, foundations were buing poured to dry, and craftsmen and women were starting to create something the land of wind had never seen or had before.
Near the remains of Sunagakure, where the slums had managed to become the last vestige of a once great and prosperous society, rose a single statue. A glass reminder of the terror which had swept through not only the very village of the sand, but the nation in a whole. A statue representing the huge snake which had wreaked havoc in the village alongside the three strangers that seemed hellbent on the villages destruction.
Seemingly as a gesture of good will and good faith from the person who was providing for the unseemingly large workforce, the names of all who had passed on, all who had fallen during the tragedy of the land of wind, the dessecration of the village hidden in the sand, were engraved onto this glass statue, turning it into a monument, a memento for those who had fallen.
Soon, the first block of glass, the first proverbial brick or stone of the new society was placed. A grand ceremony with food and drinks was given to all the workers who came from the remnants of sunagakure, those that came from the very land of wind and had seen it rise and fall. There were feasts and games, but more importantly, there was hope, a hope that had seemed lost in the waning days of the former country.
As the ceremony had passed, the people worked even harder, homes were built, new buildings arose from the ground and the glass which had symbolized the burning of sunagakure no sato, had now been turned into a useful commodity, a means to rebuild and regrow, but unbeknownst to those who worked on this seemingly gargantuan project, the one who was responsible for this glimmering beacon of hope, was pulling the strings of the creation of a new, strong nation, a nation that would fall under her absolute command and would withstand the test of time as long as she'd be able to rule it.
Yet, while the workers toiled and sweat in the dry sand of the desert and the burning sun, the mysterious benefactor was dozens of miles away, visiting the broken and battered court of the missing daimyo of the land of wind.
It is here that the true tale of the new nation's ascension begins, where a single snake would turn the nation into an empire, a force to be reckoned with, but not yet, not yet...
