Hanbei~
D-rank
Mission name: I Guess Not.
Mission rank: Event
Objective: Obtain special clay used by the ceramist.
Location: Namahage Festival
Reward: 10 Tickets
Mission Description: After returning to the shop, the ceramist will explain that he had stopped working because he was out of the clay he uses to craft his works. Considering himself something of a purist, the Oni refuses to work with any other materials and demands you fetch his clay for him if you want a mask.
Mission Details: The source of the Oni’s clay lies within the House of Tsukumogami, inanimate objects that have acquired a spirit after existing for more than 100 years. Everything in the mansion is sentient. Everything. Even the building itself. As it turns out, the clay comes from a giant, possessed ball of clay that is continually adding onto itself. It sells the clay that is more than 100 years old to the Oni to make his products. He was expecting the ceramist to come, but instead decides to congratulate you on your new job as a courier. Bring the clay back to the shop.
'This was just great.‘
There was one kind of Yokai that Hanbei liked more than any of the others, and their name was Tsukumogami, 100 or even 1000 year old items that had gained life and reverrence over their time, from umbrella to walls and more, each of them was a living breathing entity unto themselves and a god of the albiet small form that they presided within. Each of them, depending on how they had been cared for could have a totally different personality, some of them could be kind, helpful, and even loving. Others however could become bitter, heartless and cruel. It could take time to turn the heart of a Tsukumogami, but it was well worth the effort should one be willing to try. Of them all however, the umbrellas were always Hanbei's favorite. The way they hopped and stared with their cyclopean eye was kindof adorable to the eyes of the guanyin.
Though, the method that had led for her to be here was less than desirable, it seemed that the clay smith that had needed to make hanbei's mask was somewhat of a dullard. He had run out of clay, and with the festival being on he hadn't been bothered to get anymore, rather he had racked up a debt eating candy in such a voracious manner that he had completely forgone his duty, so, Hanbei had to come here for a Tsukumogami that was made of living clay, clay that needed to be given willingly in order to work for the mask making process. Hanbei figured that she would make a deal with them all, play a game with them all for some clay. Depending on the mood of the house it would likely go down well, Yokai liked making deals when it came to things like this, especially when you were giving them something that they deeply desired.
'Step 1 was entering the house.'
Knocking on the door and waiting respectively, hanbei would walk in as the door swung open ominously. Everything was quiet and silent, Hanbei would chuckle knowing that each and every thing in this house was alive, just by looking at the menagerie of odd beings in the doorway. Opening his mouth to speak he would announce himself before so much as taking a step into the house.
