Nozomi
D-rank
Her breathing slightly heavy, Nozomi eyed her opponents as they tried to circle her. She was still in the middle of her recovery, and hadn't gotten quite back up to full strength yet, but she wasn't going to let that keep her down. As soon as she was cleared from the hospital and was allowed to go back to her heavy training regimen, Nozomi challenged some of the Special Jounin in the village to a straight fight. Of course, she had a few people bite, and it was thus that she found herself in a taijutsu match against 3 opponents. So far, it hadn't been going too poorly for her, but she wasn't able to end the fight as fast as she would have liked. At her peak, she would have been able to take them out within a few seconds, but the fight had been dragging on for a few minutes now.
Tightening the kiri headband she wore on her forehead, Nozomi kept her sweat from dripping down into her eyes. Unlike most times she'd been seen, Nozomi didn't wear her battle gear, but instead a tight fitting Kimono, and some shorts. Her feet were clad in a basic open toed black sandal, leaving her body mostly undefended. She didn't particularly need to lug around her heavy gear at the moment, and should anyone actually try to attack her seriously, she wasn't without her own abilities. The girl was a Taijutsu master as well as a Bukijutsu one, so her hands were as deadly as the blades she usually used. With the inclusion of her ninjutsu, there wasn't much need for her to actually have any weapons on her, and her weights were out of the question at the moment, as she was already much slower than she was used to without them.
As usual of one of Nozomi's matches, she'd drawn a small crowd to watch her. It was obvious to anyone who had seen her fight before that she was either holding back a lot, or she was hindered in some way, so the match was fairly more even than it should have been. Still, people liked to watch the small girl fight, she never failed to impress. She was a common face to be seen at the Training grounds, although for the last few weeks she'd been hospitalized, and that had followed only shortly after her return from Kumogakure, so she hadn't really been seen around much by anyone lately. Perhaps that attributed to the larger than usual crowd that watched, halting their own training sessions to see the Jounin fight. People tended to try and use what they saw from her fights and learn from it, or just ask her to teach them. She'd usually offer some small hints, and a few lessons, but none of her students had really stuck with her.
The three converged on Nozomi, obviously used to fighting together, as their moves were too well rehearsed to be anything else. Of course she'd have chosen to fight a squad who practiced together regularly. Still, she'd been faring well, yet to be hit by any of them. They'd managed to avoid any major hits themselves though, using their coordinated attacks to keep her focused on other targets, and not letting her focus down any of them. If she were able to pick one off, the fight would be as good as over at that point. They were lucky that the fight was restricted to only basic taijutsu, as if she had access to her jutsu, she'd have already ended the match.
A right hook came towards Nozomi's face from the Special Jounin in front of her, a leg sweep from the one on her left, and an attempted body rush from the one on her right. It was just the move that Nozomi needed in order to turn the fight around in her favor. So far, she'd been on quite the defensive, letting themselves wear each other out with an all out assault on her, conserving her own energy as much as possible. She was slightly out of breath from dodging and weaving, but still had plenty of gas left. She jumped slightly forward, to avoid the body rush and the leg sweep went by where she had been. Her left arm moved upwards to intercept the right hook, surprising the three of them. It had been completely unexpected for her to move forward, and so the body rush went forward and smashed into the one who was mid leg sweep. Meanwhile, Nozomi's right palm moved forward and blasted into the face of the man in front of her.
Her momentum kept her moving forward into the slightly dazed Special Jounin, and they fell to the ground together, Nozomi on top of him. Two quick jabs from her kept him down before any of them had a chance to collect themselves, and Nozomi continued her forward momentum with a roll, ending up in a slight kneeling position facing the two Special Jounin who remained. They had only just gotten untangled from their mishap, which had only lasted but a second, but that didn't matter. It was all the time she'd needed. Her breathing was heavier a little, but there was a smirk on her face. She'd already won this matchup and they knew it. The only real hope they had would be to catch her off guard, but their training had been too ingrained in them. Switching their styles wasn't an option they had ever considered, and today wasn't any different.
