D-Rank Mission Herb Gathering for Beginners:

Jamie made his way to the hospital as he met with the people there who greeted him rather politely compared to the last time he was there. He showed them the mission scroll and received the list of herbs he would need to get, with their location as well as appearance. He looked at the list carefully and noticed the location was anywhere on the outskirts of the forest and he figured that maybe they either just showed up there or they were just making them stay in a safe place since it was a low ranking mission probably.

Jamie began thinking about it as he made his way towards the small forest to the south while following the map carefully as he checked the herb pouch he was given.

Jamie began exploring the area as he had entered the forest location, it was rather peaceful and not many animals seemed to be around this area. He looked around at the beautiful butterflies and the scurrying squirrels as he made his way through the fields carefully searching the bushes with his eyes.

He took out the list and carefully looked at the pictures comparing them, though he did not seem to be finding anything at the time as he carefully stepped he hurt his foot as he stepped on something sharp beneath the leaves as he moved the shrub out of the way, he found the thorn flower herb. He had no idea what it was needed for but his foot did hurt a little bit. Though it was a low rank mission so chances are the herbs were not poisonous, not to mention he would probably die that day if it was the case and it may raise the rank of the mission itself.

He carefully took out the herb pouch and got two of them, since that was how many he needed. He then carefully stepped to a clear location and sat against a tree and looked at the mild bleeding. He tore off a piece of his shirt and began wrapping it around his foot carefully. He began looking at the list and noticed he needed a lot of mossy herbs which could be found just a bit deeper in the forest where there was more shade, and the other herbs were some simple green ferns that had a lighter green then the rest of the brush in the area.

Jamie looked up through the leaves in the trees as the clouds seemed to gather. It might rain soon, but he still had to do his mission as he carefully stood up and prepared to gather the remaining herbs.

Jamie walked carefully around as he searched around for the mossy moss as he carefully checked them out. After a while he finally came across the herbs he needed to find as he carefully began to try pulling on them, but failed as he took out a kunai and carefully began scraping off some of the mossy herbs. He was a bit confused at first and if he had not remembered the old lady doing this in the past he may have struggled even more to get the moss off the tree. He looked carefully and realized the tree roots were rather big and none of the moss seemed to be in the sun as he wondered how they even got sunlight to begin with, or did plants not really need sunlight as he wondered for a while about that.

Time seemed to pass slowly as he began hearing a strange rumbling as he made his way through the brush, he could probably have run up the trees and jumped from branch to branch. He could even have just dashed around at the speed of sound as he began daydreaming about flashing through the forests fields like a bird flying. He then noticed as the cloud burst he dashed to a nearby shrub as he watched the rain storm down as he hid aside a rather large shrub that was beneath a rather large tree. He looked up to the tree and then noticed a lot of birds and animals hiding in the safety of this tree, even though most were scared they were not giving way to him as the water ran down the grass, the mud and the leaves splashing drops as they fell to the ground.

Jamie then wondered if he had the time to be waiting here, though it was rain. He had no time to waste, but he still had all the time in the world to find the final herbs. Those ferns he realized were most likely mixed in with other plants as he looked around the drops of water darkening the colors of the leaves as he looked at the beauty of each drop rolling down a leaf, and rain drops riding on the stems of small plants and even flowers being knocked and still rising up. The rain was beautiful today as he began smiling as a few drops went through the trees leaves hitting Jamie on his forehead and cheeks rolling down as the animals cowered further in huddling together in the midst of this storm rain.

Jamie looked up at the sky and then began to focus on his mission as he held one arm above his forehead to block the rain from hitting his eyes as he began making his way towards the greener shrubs, now that they were dark it was easier to identify the difference in color as he placed the list inside the herb pouch huddling it under his shirt and shielding it from the rain as his back became soaked with water. The mud slipping between his toes as he made his way towards the shrub that seemed most vibrant.

With shades of green that varied greatly he finally noticed a bunch of ferns as the water kept hitting the back of his head and then he shivered as a drop hit his neck as the hair had shifted exposing his bare skin to the cold wet waters of the stormy rain. The wind began to pick up as he carefully took fern after fern struggling to sneak it into his shirt to put into the herb pouch. His chest was a bit itchy, but he did not know if the rain would damage the herbs or not. However as long as the herbs were correct and usable that was all that mattered as he ventured back towards the village.

As Jamie reached the hospital his foot was paining and he had a few scratches here and there as well as a rash on his chest as he entered. The rain had finally stopped, but the damage was already done he handed in the herb pouch as the nurse in charge began inspecting the items and it was then that Jamie noticed the list was water proof as he felt silly for worrying so much as he sneezed. The nurse then nodded to Jamie accepting the contents and providing him with his payment and then requesting him to spend the night in the hospital getting better.
