Karasuko

Karasuko

D-rank
Large lumbering walls towering in front of Karasuko, as the grandeur of the Colosseum stood before her. It's large windows, and grand openings spoke more about the building than Karasuko ever could. The crowd for the evening had already gathered around en mass, merely as the hooded Red-Headed girl stood before a large gateway into the Colosseum, standing in awe at the magnificence and grandeur of the building. the crowd pushing past her as she stared up and down the building before her, etching it's details into her mind, as she stood silently and expressionlessly. It was quite and amazing trait Karasuko had. She could be in awe and wonder at the building before her. Completely and totally intimidated by it's size, the clearly dedicated work that went into it's construction, The massive crowds that flocked into its stadiums just to see a good fight unfold before them, and the imposing stature of some of the fighters that wondered with the utmost confidence straight into the Colosseum. They had seen the maw of the beast so to speak so many times before, and that wasn't to say that Karasuko hadn't. In fact it was quite the opposite. This was the sight and atmosphere that she was accustomed too. Although her version hadn't been so grand. But even with all of this Karasuko was still very calm on the outside. Maybe that was because of her aforementioned experience in very real life or death situations. She had seen deaths had before. She had witnessed the slowing of time as her every move meant life or death. And, so maybe it was these experiences that had shaped the cool exterior that the girl presented at this very moment.

Still, as the girl breathed in the scent of sweat and blood and poured out from the mouth of the Colosseum, she couldn't help be reminded of her up bringing, and everything that meant to her. The blood sweat and tears she shed, and forced others to shed. The large crowd surrounding her, cheering on her demise.  The air, how it was permuted with the smell of a fight, and how thin it felt to breath. There was never enough air, even if she took as deep a breath as she could, it wasn't enough for the blood that flowed through her veins. How time slowed to near crawl, as her mind tried to account for all of the information her eyes, ears, and body could gather. All of it mattered, and if she missed just one detail, it was death. It was something pure and excruciating, but something she hated experiencing. Despite her experience in the subject, Karasuko hated it. She hated that every movement meant death, and how it made you do things you'd swear you'd never do. Or worst of well, when you finally hear the snap of the person before you. As you finally fell their weight give, and you see what little light they had left in their eyes fade away, and their body grow stiff. No one dies the same. For some it's fear, and it's a look of horror that covers their face as their body grows limp. For other's it's relief, a bliss, something they've been waiting for, and when that moment comes and a slowly begins to form before it's all cut short, others don't die so peacefully, and you can see their desire to live on as their fist fails to find it's target as they fall to the floor, their body and mind giving out before their soul was ready too. It's never something Kara takes joy in. It's not something she could imagine anyone enjoying. The fading of life so precious in your own hands....

Still..... Karasuko sighed as she looked up from the ground she was staring at, as she recounted the faces of those she'd taken from the world, and looked towards the entrance of the Colosseum. Self preservation took place first and foremost. Survival was more important than Karasuko's distaste for death, and the horrors it brought. Hence why she had forgone her distaste for fighting, and death in particular to the place that sat before her. Ever since Karasuko had escaped from the hell that was her childhood, she's been moving from place to place just living... But she quickly found this to be shallow and monotonous. There was a clear purpose in mind. If she needed food, she could take odd jobs for some. If she was tired, she could sleep anywhere. Surviving wasn't hard, but there is a purpose that drove everyone around her. Everyone she could see was moving with purpose and intent. They had a destination. Karasuko's goal for so long had been survival, that she had never ever developed a desire outside of it, and so when survival became easy, she became unmotivated. So Karasuko brought herself here. To the fight pits of Sunagakure no Sato to, first, earn some Ryo for herself. She was running a bit low, and if she wanted to eat for the rest of the month, she was going to need a bit of cash. But that was only a small part of the reason she was here, was so that maybe, just maybe, she could find her purpose. Karasuko could very clearly remember when she fought that her mind was clear. She knew what she wanted to do, and moved towards it, and maybe putting herself in that place again may offer her some insight as to what she should be looking for, or at the very least, some solace from the pains of not having anything to life for, and with that in mind, an orange sky that marked the setting of the sun to her back, and a small sigh, Karasuko stepped forwards. She was going to make the most of this, one way or another.
