Kahou had just entered probably one of her most favored places in the entire city. The kingdom of books, the ink haven or how most would describe it - the library. A spacious room had appeared before her, covered in tables and chairs, most of which carrying the weight of enchanted readers. The walls were almost two stores tall and almost entirely covered in bookshelves full of various books. Science, biology, fantasy, history - everything one could think of was here in its own form, in its own place waiting for its own readers. On the right there was a counter behind which a female librarian sat on a chair, absorbed in an old yellow-paged book. She was wearing big round glasses with her dark black hair knitted on a knot atop of her head. A white buttoned shirt and a long black skirt, one could easily describe her as a business woman, not a librarian.

The Karisuma stepped forward into the room and towards the counter.
"Good morning." she whispered quietly for this was one of the rules in the building.
The librarian lifted her finger asking for a moment, probably to finish her paragraph. After a few monents she lifted her head and her widened by the glass eyes struck Kahou.
"How can I help you?" she asked politely, abiding the rules of volume.
"I am looking for a book." Kahou claimed as if she was not in a library. The woman continued to stare for this request was nothing extraordinary in here. "Of course, I am looking for a book... I am looking for 'Introduction to Fuinjutsu'. Where can I find this?"
"Hmmm.... come with me" the librarian stood up and started leading.

After taking a few turns in this enormous building, Kahou and the librarian finally entered a rather huddled in the back room. It was small and not as tall as the hall room but the blonde Karisuma immediately noticed the naming convention.
"All of this is only for fuinjutsu!" she asked.
"Yes, but books cannot be taken home. Let me know if you need anything else." said the librarian.
"Arigato gozaimasu!" thanked Kahou as the woman was leaving the room.

The blonde started circling the room, examining the books, looking for the introductory course for her specialization. Without paying too much attention she heard the door open and instinctively threw a stare towards it. At first it was just a mechanical reaction but after she realized who had she seen, she immediately stopped and her face expression was a one of surprise.

"Oh, you again?" the black haired man said.

After Kahou and the young chuunin exchanged a few odd stares, throughout which she was barely keeping herself from screaming at him, he turned around and started looking for a book for himself. The blonde was still looking at him, while in her head moments from the past were flinging left and right. She cleared her throat and returned to her search but it was no longer pleasant, more of a routine that she felt she needed to follow.
"So you are a fuinjutsu specialist?" the chuunin decided to try and start a conversation.

She kept on searching for her book without answering his attempt at a friendly chat, although in all honesty she was looking but not seeing. Kahou actually wanted to talk, she wanted to yell but she was keeping her emotions to herself, just the way a shinobi should regardless how hard it was.
"If you are looking for the introductory class, it is on the other side of the room." he said calmly as he found his book and took a seat on the close table at the edge.

A hard swallow it was for her to accept she was "beaten" once again by him but there was nothing she could do about it at this stage. After just a few moments she found the correct papers she was looking for and sat across the room on the far most seat from the chuunin. She opened the studying material and started reading or at least, looking at the words. She had lost her focus the moment he stepped in but not because of attraction but because she knew he was not aware of the full truth. After a few failed attempts to begin reading and learning, she closed the book and raised her head, pointing her eyes at him. He had felt the change of presence and returned the stare with a question mark in his eyes.

"He was not just a thief." she said briefly, still keeping everything inside.
"Who?" he asked for clarification.
"Juroku, the person I captured!" she was already stepping up the tone a bit while still trying to keep the volume library-low.
"You mean the thief I captured and you chased around the city?"
"He was in this position because I chased him! And what now? Is he roaming free again, abusing women?" she let it out.
"What do you mean abusing women?"
"Erm... I... you don't know? Didn't you return the stolen purse to the woman?"
"Yes and she was very grateful. Nothing more than a theft."
"Well, I hope you do not expect her to spread around the news..." she was getting really annoyed by this guy's ignorance.
"You are naive. How much time was there between her scream and your arrival?"
"Hmmm... not much, but..."
"But what? Be objective, you are a shinobi, not a girl anymore!" he had finally shown his face.
"Are you saying he did not... but he was fired for being a pervert and forcing employees into..."
"I know. I read the report. Is that all that troubles you?"

She was left speechless but somewhat calmed in a way. She was too eager to deliver justice that she left no room for actual deduction. She nodded and continued to pretend she was reading while he on the other hand continued his studies. She began overthinking again, what if she actually hit Juroku... what if she faced military court... what if the chuunin hadn't shown in time? She lifted her head again and his annoyed reaction for stopping his studying twice now had made her doubt her decision.

"Kahou...Karisuma, Kahou...that's my name if..." she shook her head and again pored over the book.
"Baransu is what people call me, Kahou. But please let's get back to reading." he answered calmly, somewhat abolishing his initial annoyance after hearing the topic.

Time passed by as both had returned to their initial goals to read. She was finally understanding the nature of her specialization and how she could use it to enhance her ninja capabilities and help her allies. She was not the type that would go ahead and kill but she was not the type that would stay behind and watch all her loved ones die. She needed to find another way, a different approach to the problem all ninja faced and Fuinjutsu seamed to be the answer for her. She did not care as much if it was painless or painful as long as it was deathless.

With the end of the day she prepared to go home and left the room, leaving Baransu to his studies.
