Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to--battle, intelligence gathering, diversions--this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons; however, the object can be no smaller than 1 foot long in at least one dimension. Despite this, this technique has an abundance of uses. The transformation of a master of this technique (which is generally an Academy graduation requirement) makes the user physically and visually the same as the transformed person or object in question, giving the user the exact mass and physical qualities of whatever they transformed into. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it. This technique does not give a ninja the abilities or jutsu of a person they transform into, nor can give the user the damaging ability of a weapon (however, this can be used as a bluff). Sensory techniques can easily pick out someone transformed using this jutsu: the user's chakra would be active, as well as the fact that their biological functions and scent are not masked by this jutsu. Costs 5 chakra on activation, and an additional 5 chakra every other post after that.

Description: Using this technique, the user can create up to five intangible clones that appear physically identical to the user; these are created within 3 meters of the caster. The clones do not disturb the area around them, don't have shadows or body heat, and as such, in applicable situations, ninja can pick them out with varying difficulty. The clone has no physical form, and as such cannot attack. When any foreign presence passes through the clone, be it physical (a fist, a rock, a sword) or an opponent's jutsu, the clone will dissipate. It's mainly used to help mask the user, helping them attack an opponent who is superior at dodging. It costs 5 chakra to create clones.

Description: The Substitution Technique is an age-old skill which enables the user to evade the effects of an attack by switching with an item in the area. (The item---or substantial clone---used for a Substitute must be as large as the user's torso, and must be prepared at least 1 post in advance by infusing it with 5 chakra.) Activating this jutsu for another 5 chakra, the ninja moves at untraceable speed for just a moment, and the item does so as well to take the user's place; the ninja leaves behind a flickering after-image for a second, which, if damaged, releases the chakra which holds it in place in a small smoke cloud, revealing the nature of the technique and the item they have switched with. Higher-rank ninjas' afterimages are able to show some of the signs of natural impact as if it were an actual human, if only for a very short period, before 'poofing'. The user coming out of the technique creates a similar audio and visual cue with a small cloud of translucent smoke and a 'poofing' sound on appearance in the location of the item they Substituted with. This technique causes the user to move at speeds untraceable to human perception, and therefore even the user cannot coordinate attacks during the Kawarimi, or activate any other jutsu. They, however, can maneuver near someone and then attack them after the fast-movement is finished.

Description:A technique taught at the Ninja Academy requiring chakra control. By using Kai, a ninja disrupts their own flow of chakra, then starts it again. This allows a ninja to escape from illusions, provided he or she has figured out that a Genjutsu is active. Ninja can use this ability on their comrades to save them from genjutsu, and possibly other techniques that invade their chakra system. It is possible for this technique to fail, if the user misjudges the power of the genjutsu and does not put in enough chakra to stop their chakra flow.
This is an E-ranked technique, but has variable chakra costs.- Genin: 20 chakra for a D-ranked Genjutsu, 40 for C. Genin cannot dispel B-ranked Genjutsu.
- Chuunin: 30 chakra for a C-ranked Genjutsu, 50 for B. Chuunin cannot dispel A-ranked Genjutsu.
- Special Jounin: 40 chakra for a B-ranked Genjutsu, 60 for A. Toku-Jou cannot dispel S-ranked Genjutsu.
- Jounin: 50 chakra for an A-ranked Genjutsu, 70 for S. Jounin cannot dispel SS-ranked Genjutsu.

~Kai can dispel multiple genjutsu at once, but only on the user or another person, not both. The highest-rank genjutsu costs the normal amount to Dissipate, then the second costs the normal amount -5, the third -10, and so on. So, if a genin was caught under a C-rank and two D-rank genjutsu, it would cost 40 chakra to dispel the C-rank jutsu, 15 to dispel the first D-rank, and 10 to dispel the second D-rank.

It involves using chakra flow to channel chakra to one's hands or feet, allowing him/her to walk on, or cling to, surfaces that normally do not allow it. This includes, but is not limited to, walls/ceilings, trees, and even water. Should the flow of chakra stop for any reason, the user will immediately fall off of the surface they are walking on, or plunge underwater.

Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice, either on the ground or in-hand.
The jutsu can be used to either store an item in something or to summon it from something, but it can’t do both.
This jutsu can only seal the user's items, or items that were stolen from a target for more than 3 posts, or items stolen from a KO'd or killed character.

Description: This jutsu generates long, fibrous, malleable chakra strings from each of the user's fingers. They are partially intangible to prevent tangling; this jutsu cannot be used to bind people. The condensed chakra takes a hue of variable color depending on the user. Use of this technique on puppets is only available to those with the Kugutsu specialty. However, people without skill in Puppetry can still generate chakra strings to control weapons they have the specializations to wield, within 30m. This consists of whipping them around like a flail or yo-yo, or controlling their path of travel when thrown. Unless durability is enhanced by a separate technique, these chakra strings can be broken by any D rank technique that causes blunt force, cutting, or piercing damage.
This technique cannot control living people; it can only control corpses, or Human Puppets currently in the user's locker.- 3 Types of Strings:

Multiple control:
The chakra strings at this rank are more tailored to controlling the base functions of many puppets as opposed to putting an astounding amount of effort into the control of few. Using this technique depending on the user's rank they are able to control up to 10 puppets, though the trade off is each of them operate at the user's speed and reaction time, -1 rank. (Stat increases from items and jutsu do not count towards this. However, those from clans do.)

Balanced Control:
Using more focused control on the puppets the user wields they are able to focus more into their puppets movement, and therefore they no longer receive the negative influence to their speed that the mass control strings had. However, the puppets still receive -1 to reaction time and less puppets are able to operate at this capacity per rank.

Focused control:
The user, with these strings, is able to literally control their puppets with such mastery as if they were basically human themselves. The concentration at this level requires they dedicate themselves into only one or two puppets, but they operate without any negatives what so ever, and move at the user's speed and reaction times.

Description: Temporary Paralysis Technique is a technique that physically restrains an opponent, as if the opponent had been tied in invisible steel ropes. It debilitates the victim for a short period of time by binding their arms to their torso and chaining their legs together, which allows the user to either strike again, or take the target into custody. This jutsu will only work on people who are below your rank (so a Chuunin using this jutsu could not use it on another Chuunin, but could do so against a Genin). The user of this technique must either state the name of the ability aloud or as form a string of hand seals (Monkey → Horse → Dragon → Tiger → Ox → Rat → Snake). The air around the target will be disturbed very slightly as the "chains" move into place, giving the victim a chance to dodge the technique. This technique can be overpowered with raw physical strength: an individual with C-0 strength can force themselves free, breaking the ability. (Those with D-3 strength can also do so, but it takes a few moments to do so.)

Description: Sousetsu attacks the opponent with a combination of Ninjutsu/Kenjutsu and Water Release. Sousetsu materialises from his palm, a blade of water that he uses to engage in one on one combat. The blade begins as a dense chakra infused water jutsu with the strength and length of a kunai yet causing up to 3/4 inch cuts. Compared to higher classed weapons, it can be damaged the more Sousetsu uses it. This can be seen as the water will become less dense and almost able to cut through and harm Sousetsu. The higher the ranked opposing weapon the quicker, the quicker the blade deteriorates as it is engages in battle.

Description: The user releases a thick mist from his or her mouth or uses a water source around him or her to create the mist. This effectively acts as a cover for the user. Doujutsu such as the sharingan are incapable of seeing through it, since the mist is kneaded with the user's chakra. The byakugan, however, can bypass this mist at any rank. Anyone with the Perception stat C rank will be able to see blurry movement within five meters of themselves - anyone with Perception stat B rank or higher will be generally be able to see movement around them within the mist, with only minor details obscured. The user is also incapable of seeing through the mist unless they themselves have an ability / technique that would enable them to do so.

Description:The user creates a whip made of water that can wrap around the opponent. It’s offensive capabilities are limited to the amount of water and chakra used in creation of the whip;
as a thin whip would be speedy and great for shallow slicing of the skin, where as a thicker, heavier whip would be slower and better used for brute force offense, like a club of water.
Here in lies one of it's biggest disadvantages; you must trade speed and control for power;
if the whip is too thin it is fast, but only good for annoyance and distraction; if too heavy it is clumsy, and slow. Too much or too little and it becomes difficult to control. The user must know the extent of his control at either end of the spectrum in order to use the jutsu efficiently.
For the average user, the thinnest usable whip would be the width of a pencil, to maintain the water any smaller would be extremely difficult due to the friction of the air overcoming the force of the surface tension; at it's largest, no more then twice the width of the user's arm. Once the whip exceeds roughly a meter in diameter, the weight of the water makes it increasingly impractical to use, as well as too short. A thinner whip can be maintained at a longer length, as the tension of the molecules exposed to the open air would aide in maintaining the shape. When the whip is thin and long; no more then the width of the average quarter (Bo) staff, the user holds the end of the water like a normal bull-whip; but once the water exceeds this general diameter, it begins to encompass the user's hand and wrist, forcing the user to use their entire arm and upper body to control the whip. Beyond this generalized size, the whip becomes too heavy to control otherwise. Also, the whip itself can be severed rather easily; as it is only the density of the water itself that would impede a blade. If the entire whip was to be severed at once, it would break at the point of severing. Essentially, if the entire stream was to be broken, the jutsu would fail beyond the point of breakage. This is far easier for the small whips, as a kunai blade would be more then wide enough to fully sever the whip before the water could reattach itself. If an opponent succeeds at severing the whip, the jutsu is broken and cool down takes effect.

Description:The user buries himself under the ground at 3 meters deep and moves beneath the surface. He or she can move in a 10 m radius at a speed equal to their Speed stat. The objective of this technique is to drag the opponent under the ground along with the user. The victim is buried beneath the ground up to his or her head. He or she remains trapped and unable to move for up to 2 posts if their Strength stat is D-3 or lower. Anyone with Strength C-0 to C-3 will be able to escape after one post, while anyone with Strength stat B rank or higher can escape easily. Once they are buried, the user emerges from the ground once again. Any raiton technique used on the earth can force the user and the victim out of the earth.

Description: Water gushes out from the mouth like a waterfall and pushes the opponent back 10 meters and causes minor bruising. The stream of water gushes out at 20 m/s, however, it is difficult to move once activated - if attempting to redirect the stream, it moves at 2 m/s. Due to the nature of water, this technique works especially well against smoke-based attacks and can be used to douse fires no longer under the influence of chakra, or against a single D rank katon jutsu. The damage output from this ability is not severe as it is mainly a force to interrupt, push back and potentially pin down an opponent.

Description: The user converts chakra into timber under the ground and makes it grow rapidly, while forming it into a wooden prison. Sousetsu can only create the prison to the size equal to that of a holding cell. The timber itself is treated with a chakra coating, making its destruction difficult to c-rank jutsus or weapons or below. A maximum of two c-rank or 1 B-rank. Fire jutsus also damage the wood further reducing the amount of jutsus by half the amount it would usually take for each level; 1 c-rank. During war, it has the great ability to detain prisoners, but it can also be used as a disciplinary measure for quarrelling subordinates.

Description: The Water Clone Jutsu is similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu except it creates clones out of water that have one-tenth of the original user's chakra - taken after the initial activation cost of this technique has been deducted. Like other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to perform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, as it can not travel very far from the original body without losing control. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water. Water clones are capable of only using suiton jutsu provided they have enough chakra to cast it. Regular jutsu cooldowns apply - if a technique is used by one clone, it cannot immediately be used by another clone. A maximum of six clones may be created at any one time. The clone automatically disperses when it runs out of chakra, or when hit by any attack that can cause the equivalence of a C rank technique in physical damage [major bruising, 1-2 inch cuts, etc.] or a C-rank/2 D-Rank offensive jutsu. The user may willingly disperse a clone - returning any chakra the clone has left to the user - but this can only be done under the condition that the clone is not under direct attack. Clones which have been dispersed by other means - ie. taking damage - do not return any chakra to the user.

Description: A technique that is activated upon performing the necessary hand seals and placing hands upon the ground. The user places his hands upon the ground where mud will shape into wolves that will attack the enemy. Despite being damaged, the wolves will simply reform after one post, keeping the enemy occupied while the user readies for another attack or makes a getaway. Three dogs are summoned in total and can be permanently destroyed with Lightning attacks D rank or higher, or jutsu of C rank or higher. The max distance they can travel from the user is up to twenty meters. They do damage by charging into an opponent that can cause moderate bruising.

Description: The user spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility, slowing them down by -1 tier to the Speed stat, before ultimately immobilizing them if they remain in the substance for two posts (immobilization lasts 2 posts as well). One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally 10 meters in radius. If caught in this technique, the person is able to avoid being affected by the slowing or immobilization effects if they channel chakra through their feet (must be done by using a technique, such as Supernatural Walking Technique) - however, this must be activated before being caught in this syrup trap, or during the first two posts. Once the syrup begins hardening (two posts after activation), the victim will be rendered immobile, and it will require one jutsu of equal rank, or B rank Strength to break out before the end of the duration.

Description: A highly versatile technique where the user converts part of their body to rather sharp branches. These can then be made to grow at astounding speeds and with such force that they can pierce a person's body with ease. Used predominantly in close-ranged combat, these branches can also be made to exponentially multiply, even when inside a victim. Due to these properties, the technique can be used to fashion short-range weapons akin to a makeshift sword; the user can also trigger rapid growth to launch these at targets. Then, the user can trigger growth remotely with the Ram seal, which is enough to skewer the victim. This jutsu costs 5 chakra for every branch formed in addition to the upkeep cost; larger branches may be made to envelop and attempt to crush the target for 10 chakra. Even after the jutsu ends, the branches may be used as swords or other weapons if not destroyed. Description: An extremely versatile move, this technique uses chakra to activate the roots in the ground and, using the user of the technique as a reference point, makes wooden pillars appear from left and right. The wooden pillars join together in a dome-shape with the user at the centre. This process can be used to catch the enemy in a double sided attack moving at a pace of completely closing over in 3 seconds. Also, in case one confronts the enemy at a short distance, the enemy can be locked up inside the dome, setting the situation for a one-on-one fight. This dome can also be collapsed or burnt with the enemy inside to inflict damage dealing major 2nd/minor 3rd Degree tissue damage. Furthermore, it functions as an easy shelter against the enemy's long-distance attacks, like shuriken and kunai. To destroy the wood with ninjutsu, it takes: C-ranks-3, 2 B-ranks and higher-1 posts. Using fire techniques: C-ranks reduced to 2 and any above will destroy the wood almost instantly, incinerating the jutsu.

Description: The user creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defence. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up to twenty feet tall and five feet wide. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. The wall can defend against 1 technique of a rank higher, 2 of equal rank, or three of a rank lower. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against Suiton techniques - which must be at least A rank to destroy the wall, while Raiton techniques only require a single equal rank technique to pierce through the wall.

Description: A clone that is created by using chakra to alter the user's own cells into vegetation. The clones are capable of performing their own techniques, as long as they pertain to the wood element. For this, each one is given 20 chakra upon creation. The user can only create up to two clones at a time. They have the ability to travel far from the user and are able to communicate with the original. Moreover, the wood clone has the ability to merge with plants and trees using 5 chakra each post from their chakra pool, which makes it an excellent technique for reconnaissance missions. By directly touching the wood clone with his or her hand, the user can absorb the information it gathered and change the shape of the clone. Each clone can take up to 2 B rank jutsu or 1 A rank jutsu of damage. It instantly dissipates after hit by an A-SS rank jutsu. It takes additional damage from fire jutsu. This makes it so they take one less post to be destroyed if fire is used against them.

Description: Shadow Doppelganger Technique creates up to 4 clones of the user. Unlike the regular Bunshin, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each one an equal fraction of the user's overall power. Because they are created this way, even the Sharingan and Byakugan can't distinguish them from the original. The user of this technique must form a hand sign to create the clones, they cannot form them simply by will. The clones will be created in roughly the same physical condition as the original (wounds and buffs/debuffs/special effects present on the user are copied over upon creation); also, the user must equally divide their chakra among the clones, potentially using up all their chakra quickly if the user is low on chakra or makes too many clones. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed. They can also disperse on the user's whim. A characteristic that is unique to the Shadow Clone Technique is that any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed. This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target, then have the clone disperse itself without returning to pass the information back to the user. Anomalistically, Kagebunshin are immune to the paralytic effects of Genjutsu B-rank and below. The user regains the chakra the clone had if and only if s/he disperses it of his/her own will; it takes a 1 post prep to disperse.
When you create a shadow clone, your chakra is divided among it/them. For example, let's say you're a Chuunin with max chakra. Your current chakra, 200, would be reduced by 20 for the cost of the jutsu; you want to make 4 clones, so your chakra is divided by 5 (you + 4 clones). This gives each clone a fifth of your chakra. So, each clone would have 36 chakra. Being that they are shadow clones, they are each able to perform jutsu themselves; they have their own separate chakra pool, and also follow their own cooldowns for jutsu. Each Shadow Clone has a reserve of stamina; their individual chakra is reduced by an amount appropriate amount to the damage done (E-10, D-15, C-20, B-25, A-30, S-35). The clone automatically disperses when it runs out of chakra, or when hit by any attack that can cause a noteworthy level of physical damage [second/third degree burns, broken bones, stab wounds, etc] If the original uses a technique before creating the shadow clones, the remaining cooldown on the technique applies to all clones created.

Description: Using the Wood Release, the user can manipulate the terrain, bringing out underground roots of varying sizes to fit various offensive situations, such as using the roots for trickery, misdirection and restriction. This technique involves bringing out massive roots gradually growing over a large area that tangle around each other with such force that any one caught in-between can be cut or pierced directly through the individual, or shatter bones. Fire techniques can burn sections of the emerging roots giving them a safe area for two posts. C rank will give two free metres of space and increase four metres for each level of jutsu upwards, e.g B=6 metres, A=10 metres, the size of the area affected depends on the level of jutsu. A rank weapons can also cut through the roots but proven unsafe as they tend to swarm, emerging quickly from the earth in many numbers from the surrounding area. If the earth is destroyed they will still grow but overall can only reach five metres in height. The maximum range this can reach is thirty metres in radius.

Description: This technique lets the user summon a tree around their opponent to bind them. It binds the user within five seconds with a fluent motion. This technique is relatively powerful and holds opponents much more gracefully, with less of a strain on the user as the user sinks them into the ground. Afterwards, the user can enclose the opponent so that their body is crushed with the force of the tree shattering bones, or dealing major 3rd-degree and possibly even 4th-degree tissue damage. Genjutsu has the effect to negate this moves ability of sinking them and crushing them, only to be left in capture. An A rank fire technique can dispel this technique also and can emerge through the wood if happened to be trapped instantly. The opponent will be trapped for two posts before beginning to sink and buried on the third post. Two A-Ranks or One S-Rank can destroy the tree, or one A rank fire technique.

Description: This technique shapes a large amount of water into four great horses, with a height of 314 cm (124 inches) each running alongside each other at 45m/s giving the jutsu the width of 10 metres, which hits the opponent with formidable might, dealing physical damage causing shattered bones, or dealing major 3rd-degree and possibly even 4th-degree tissue damage on impact. As they are embodiment's of horses this jutsu has a particular high speed of attacking resulting in the powerful impact. The ideal place to use it is near a body of water, but can be used in an area of land (With a drawback of covering range - 45m as opposed to 70) and covering the land with water after being diminished. This technique can only attack in a straight path in the first post (All horses side by side). At the end of the post if it is a miss it can turn around and attempt a second time but dispels into four horses roaming in any direction under the control of Sousetsu for the second post costing an extra 10 chakra as well as having control over them in the third post before being released.

Description: This technique allows the user to create a large, humanoid creature, three times the size of an average man, composed of rock that can either be expelled from the user's mouth or formed from a nearby, pre-existing source of earth. The golem must be within twenty-five metres or less of the user or else it will dissipate and will always possesses an ample amount of brute strength. It is very durable, being able to withstand a point-blank explosion, whether it be a ninja tool or jutsu. This makes the golem ideal whether it be serving as additional support or simply as a mobile shield. Two A rank techniques, or one S rank is needed to destroy this jutsu. Lightning style requires one A rank to destroy while two S rank water techniques are required to destroy this technique. This golem like creature possesses taijutsu equal to that of an C rank.

They can only attack once during their summon with a swing of their blade and can only defend from one attack. They possess the same strength as Sousetsu himself in terms of striking an opponent and can be dissipated if hit by the opponent absorbing the attack. At the end of the post the clones simply reveal a small cloud of smoke as they disappear.

Description: During the first post, the user creates a large pool of water of a 25 meter radius around the target (edge of the pool must be within 10 meters of the user), that shoots numerous water bullets with a ten-inch diameter at them from the pool, upwards to height of 15 meters in the air to form into a water cloud. The water bullets do not pierce the skin but pack a punch, moving at 25 m/s upwards, capable of lifting the target up 15 meters and giving major bruising around their body as well as break bone with direct impact. A total of ten bullets are used during this process one after another in various areas through the mass pool of water, and should the target be hit by additional bullets on the way down, they will cause the same damage and lift the target back up to the maximum height. The second post then finishes by forming the water bullets that created a water cloud in the air into a water dragon which attacks the target, crashing into the target and forcing them to the ground. The water dragon moves at 30 m/s and breaks bones during impact. It is 3 metres in width and 20 metres in length and uses a loud roar before charging 3 seconds after. Doton techniques at A rank can negate this ability causing it to dissipate along with other techniques at S rank.

Description: After molding chakra, Sousetsu places a palm facing forward with one hand and then taps it with his other hand, formed into a fist. Next, he forms a unique hand seal resembling a tiger. This launches the water jutsu at the opponent in the shape of one by leaving a gigantic tiger-shaped beast impression that almost seems to swallow Sousetsu in the process as it stands at 20 metres tall and 8 metres wide. The water will condense as it's moving and be focused into a single point. The technique then explodes on command, releasing the built up pressure in an instant. A massive explosion 15 metres in radius — one that is created which can be felt a significant distance away. With such a high speed of sixty metres per second, this technique would render people apart with ease, crushing bones and a high factor of death as an outcome. It is the staple technique of Wood Release, fully displaying its abilities by causing massive trees and roots to grow on any surface. The user can control any and all trees created by this technique. The wood serves as a shield against all non-Katon jutsu, and can take 2 S-rank techniques per post (the user can renew the shield with more trees per post). Katon jutsu of B-rank can burn through a tree within 4 posts; A rank 2 posts, and S-rank can torch them completely. The user can manipulate the trees to crush opponents, as well as restrict larger foes. This jutsu is easily able to destroy stable buildings and boulders.
