Lin put on the hat of the Raikage, it sat gracefully upon her head. The robes would need some work, as Sanosuke was much taller than she was, and she looked like a five year old wearing her mother's robes. She checked herself in the mirror. Absolutely ridiculous that she couldn't find a tailor in time.
She sighed, well, this would be a disaster if she went out looking like she did now. She took off the robes, the hat, and the ceremonial cloak of Kage. Might as well address the people looking like she normally did. Well, not quite normal. She wore a dress that went down to her ankles, hugged her hips and flared out afterward. Her frame was embraced by the silk that it was made out of, and in the setting sun it would look like sparkling bits of electricity were surrounding it. The tailor that had made her this had said that he didn't want to work on the robes, however.
Running her hands down her sides and over her hips, she smoothed out the wrinkles put into them by the robes. She didn't have any hand-maidens, no servants to dress her, but a special jounin was outside the door to make sure that she got to the ceremony on time. She had opted for an up do, five braids going into an intricate bun that fastened them all together. Well, this was certainly going to be an interesting... er... speech to the people. She would walk out on a balcony, deliver the speech and then would have to run downstairs, compose herself, and walk among the people.
Of course, she would have her elite guards, ones that she had inherited from Sanosuke with her, but it wasn't like she didn't feel a bit foolish doing this. The grand scheme of this was... was a bit too big for her. She looked in the mirror, her lower lip trembling a bit in nervousness. If only someone were there to give her a "Ganpare!" or something of the sort. Oh well, No turning back now.
She put on her shawl, since the evenings got cold in Kumogakure no Sato, the city hidden in the clouds of the mountains. She walked out of the room, nodding to the Special jounin as she was escorted out of the room and into the antechamber to wait for the assigned time, 6:00 to start her speech. Only 10 more minutes to begin. She squirmed in the dress, feeling more exposed than she wanted in this dress. Perhaps she should have chosen the over-sized robes after all, and the goofy ceremonial hat.
She wondered, in silence with the guards around her keeping their vigil without breaking the dampening quiet, what the people of the village would think of her.
