Ezra’s first day and night back in the Hidden Sand was over with. He had gotten a good night sleep and a healthy and hardy breakfast in his stomach. It was all thanks to his Aunt Zera that he wasn’t sleeping in the street that night. Ezra’s mom was still pissed he didn’t update her on the exams from Konoha. He understood her anger as he stayed in Konoha for some extra time after the exams were over. It was a good thing he stayed for a while after though. He probably wouldn’t have progressed so much and become a Jounin later on. Now that Ezra had become a Jounin that meant a couple things, it meant being a prime example of a ninja and a way of going about that was becoming and staying at peak performance. Ezra decided right after he was promoted he would work hard day after day. He planned to start the day’s hard work with some early morning training. That was if eight in the morning could truly be classified as early.

Ezra left his Aunt’s house simply saying “I’ll pick up my clothes later.” She was nice enough to wash the ones he had worn the day before in addition to letting him use some of his uncle’s clothes. Ezra walked down the street and noticed the lack of girls who checked him out. He hadn’t really changed a bit since he had last walked the streets of Suna so it couldn’t be anything wrong with his looks but then he realized it as he looked to his clothes. ‘Uncle’s clothes are killing my chances.’ He thought as he began to run to the sand grounds to train. The smaller amount of people who saw him in those clothes the better. They didn’t really suit him.

Ezra reached the sand grounds within half an hour of leaving his aunt’s house. He set up camp by a series of rocks at the far reaches of the sand grounds. He climbed onto the highest rock he could find which was about five meters tall so he could meditate atop it and really get his jutsu flowing. He inhaled and exhaled and focused on his chakra inside. He could almost feel the extent of his chakra pool. ‘It definitely has increased since the last time I was in Suna.’ Ezra thought playing modest. It had increased a significant amount. He focused on the chakra changes he was capable of as he meditated. Ezra couldn’t explain it but they had made his chakra feel different as it flowed through its network. It was inexplicable but that was why he was training his ninjutsu so hard. Maybe with more experience with it he would be able to shed some light behind his somewhat simple understanding of ninjutsu. He opened his eyes and stood up from his meditation session.

Trilby tossed his iconic hat for which he was titled on the bed, slamming the door behind him. Special Jounin. It was only recently that he was given his promotion, and he still didn't feel right saying it. In his mind, he hadn't earned the title whatsoever. Never satisfied with his abilities, Trilby couldn't comprehend why anyone else saw fit to acknowledge his talents. A misfit nameless slob with twelve miles of mummy issues and nothing to live for. What a great man, let's put him in charge of a squad of genin and expect him to care if they lived or died. A foolish decision to be sure. Granted, he had developed his own style of Fuuinjutsu, but it was hardly worth the promotion he had gotten. From genin to sp. Jounin overnight, due to exceptional talent. What a joke.

The streets were noisy with people, something Trilby never could stand about living in a city. Nothing to do, no one to see. A faceless swarm of people shopping and talking like nothing else mattered. Perhaps it was jealously, but Trilby never could stand the fact that most people seemed to be able to just ignore the world around him. He was always analysing his environment, the potential threat of those around him. Even before he became a shinobi, he was always looking over his shoulder, watching the guards of the mine where he grew up, looking for a chance to break away. Taking a hard right, Trilby made his way towards the sandy arena. It was one of his favourite places to spend time, ever since he met his best friend there, what seemed like an eon ago. An often desolate arena of war and conquest, a perfect place for him to spend his free time. Trilby often trained there, as it was the kind of place he felt most at home.

Stepping through the archway into the arena grounds, he took a quick surveying glance at the environment around him. The arena was all but abandoned, ave for one lone shinobi meditating on top of a series of rocks. Trilby was going to avoid him before he recognised his face. He didn't know the man's name, but he had seen him in the jounin lounge before. He had never met any of his colleges, something he felt he should rectify, and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity to do so. Adjusting the collar on his thick black T-shirt, he approached where the man was meditating, giving a casual wave before announcing his presence. "Hello!" he said loudly with a wave, pausing to allow the man he was addressing an opportunity to reply in kind or tell him to leave him be.

“Ahhh!” Ezra yelled startled as he looked down from his place upon the rock to what seemed like a strange man waving at him. “You scared me.” Ezra said as he realized he might have been a little too into his meditation session. He was completely unaware of his surroundings, the people in it anyway. Ezra couldn’t help but be a little embarrassed. Here he was a Jounin jumping fearfully at a simple greeting. He fixed his face to a smile as he recognized the man who had greeted him. Ezra hopped from the rock onto the blood and sweat stained sand. People sure did train hard at the sand grounds. “Hey it’s you. You’re that new Special Jounin guy. I’m Ezra, the new Jounin guy. What’s your name again?” Ezra couldn't help but feel like a kid looking at this guy and the bit of beard on his face. Ezra drew a blank at the name which caused his face to become somewhat shaded with embarrassment, but more so his face seemed to exude curiosity. He stuck his hand out to be shook as he waited for the other shinobi to tell him his name. Ezra only heard it once before so it wasn’t much of a big deal, and hopefully the man’s feelings would not be hurt.

Trilby had to repress a small chuckle as the man yelled out in surprise at his presence. He clearly had to have been deeply lost in his meditation to be surprised by a frontal approach. If Trilby had had hostile intentions he probably could've killed him before he even realised he was there. Trilby listened intently as the man introduced himself. Ezra. From what he said, it seemed he'd only recently acquired his Jounin position, much like Trilby himself. Perhaps the kazekage promoted people cyclically, or whenever the mood struck her. Trilby extended his arm, shaking hands with his comrade as he introduced himself in kind. "Trilby. Pleasure to meet you Ezra." he stated matter-of-factly as he looked the man up and down, trying to analyse what sort of person he was.

Ezra was clearly either a fair bit younger than Trilby, or had features unbecoming of someone his age. Trilby assumed he was either fifteen or sixteen from his appearance, roughly the age he broke out of the mine he was raised in. It seemed odd to him that someone of this age could be a Jounin already. Perhaps Ezra was something special. "So, are you often so startled by greetings?" Trilby said with a chuckle, trying to make light of the embarrassed look on Ezra's face, for Ezra's sake rather than his own. Trilby raised his left hand, brushing his hair out of his eyes. The wind was harsh, as it always was in Sunagakure, and it was doing it's best to aggravate him.

Ezra laughed at Trilby's joke. “It’s nice to meet you Trilby and no. Greetings usually don’t scare me.” He said feeling as if the embarrassment had been completely washed away by the joke and laughter. Ezra appreciated the joke, in fact if Ezra could appreciate one thing in the world it was most often a joke or much more often the laughter that came from hearing a joke. Ezra didn’t know Trilby at all but just from the little exchange he could tell that he was a good guy, more or less. “I guess you’re here to train. Huh?” Ezra pointed out the obvious as he dynamically stretched his legs and scanned Trilby. ‘Most likely not a Taijutsu user.’ Ezra told himself finishing his examination of Trilby with only that. “Hey. How is your Ninjutsu?” Ezra asked stilling his body.

Judging by the scenery it was obvious why Ezra had come up with that question. Ezra couldn’t know for sure but maybe he’d get lucky and find a training partner for the day. He found that training always went faster with a partner or audience. Ezra was reminded of a time he had trained for the whole day just because a couple cute Suna girls were watching him. Although, now he had bigger and better reasons to train so he would probably see more success and improvement. With success and improvement came a level of rigor that needed to be added. Hopefully Trilby would be able to provide that. Ezra shook the wind-touched hair out of his face as he waited excitedly for an answer.

it seemed his joke had hit the spot. All the nerves from Ezra's body language vanished as he laughed, a more positive reaction than he had expected to receive from his tacky quip. “I guess you’re here to train. Huh?” Trilby smiled as Ezra asked this. Was that simply an inquiry or was it a request to spar? It had been a long time since Trilby had fought someone worthy. It was clear from his opponents build he was a taijutsu user. The muscles were a dead giveaway. Still, Trilby could use a good brawl to shake off some of his rust anyway. "I can hold my own. I specialise in Fuuinjutsu but I suppose my ninjutsu is decent." To be fair, Trilby had really neglected to learn any techniques befitting his rank, every ninjutsu technique he knew was amateur level stuff, D and C rank. He didn't even know a single B rank, let alone an A rank. Still, even if he would likely lose, a good thrashing might be exactly the kind of motivation he needed to actually train.

"Why, want to spar?" he said coyly, scanning his opponent's body language, wondering if he'd be receptive. He wondered how he'd brawl, if he was solely into his taijutsu, or if he rarely used it in favour of his ninjutsu? Perhaps a combination of the both, or perhaps he'd misread his opponent entirely. Only one way to find out.

“I’d love to spar.” Ezra shot back with joy, maybe a little too much joy. Ezra restrained himself almost immediately after. “But only on two conditions.” Ezra added thrusting his index finger forward. It must have been funny to watch, Ezra pretending as if he wouldn’t want to spar without them. He took a breath, pointed his index finger at Trilby, and announced “Like you my specialization is not Ninjutsu. It’s Taijutsu.” He paused for a second on a side not and crossed his arms. “So the conditions of this spar are we will only use Ninjutsu techniques… Oh and this second condition is probably common sense but no trying to kill or maim the other. I’d like us to remain as useful as possible to the village and the Kazekage. Whaddya’ say?” Ezra explained ending with a tilted head and a hands-out shrug.

He doubted Trilby would disagree with the conditions. Ezra relaxed took a quick look around the Sandy Arena. It was pretty much an open space. There were a couple big rocks and boulders around but Ezra couldn't do much with them. There was also a wall quite near to them, about six meters behind Ezra to be exact but all the other walls were a bit further, in running distance but it was unlikely that the fight would stretch to them.

Trilby breathed out a sigh, contemplating the conditions. most of his ninjutsu were designed to be used in combinations with other forms of combat, namely projectile weaponry or taijutsu. He didn't have much techniques to use for ninjutsu only combat. Still, that would force him to be inventive. "I accept your conditions" Trilby said, glad that he'd be fighting at last. It had been far too long since he'd had a good sparring match. Granted, the last one he had nearly killed him, but still. Turning his back to Ezra, he walked back a few feet before turning on his heels to face him again. Trilby reached into his weapons pouch, wrapping the beginning of the wire reel around the hole on the end of one of his kunai. The utility would come potentially come in handy.

Trilby tightened his belt, ensuring that it wouldn't fly off mid-fight and take his weapons with it. "I'll allow you to start it, sir. May the best man win." Placing his right foot in-front of his left, he faced Ezra, bringing his hands together while he waited for him to make the first move. This would be good.

Trilby had agreed but Ezra began to regret asking him to train. He didn’t know anything of Trilby. He never even said a word to him until a minute ago. For goodness sake Trilby could have been a pathological lying pervert and Ezra would have had no clue. Ezra’s eyes opened a bit as he watched Trilby pull out his tools. Ezra studied and watched Trilby tie the beginning of some wire reel in and out of the hole on the end of his kunai. ‘I thought we were sticking to ninjutsu? Well, come to think of it his ninjutsu could require the help of some tools. I guess I’ll allow it. I just have to keep on my toes.’ Ezra conversed with himself subconsciously and not to mention unintentionally. Trilby was so gracious as to inform Ezra that he would be allowed the first move. Maybe he wasn’t a pathological lying pervert, and maybe Ezra’s initial thought of Trilby being a good dude was right.

Ezra picked up his index finger to Trilby with a smile as if to say “Give me a sec.” Ezra stretched his back and legs rather quickly. He then proceeded to enter into a horse stance. His stance wasn’t too deep but it wasn’t too shallow but it would allow him to get a nice running start if need be. Ezra smiled once again before putting a bit of a serious look on his face. The austere face he had once held in fights was gone; it was much easier to let his face do whatever it wanted in fights after all.

Ezra clapped to signify the start of the spar. He then weaved the necessary signs as fast as he possibly could. He then announced the jutsu he had set up gagging at the end from its activation. “Earth Style: Rock Clone Techniiaaa…” He began to throw up his clones as he realized he had embarrassed himself for the second time today in front of his fellow Jounin. The rock traveled out of Ezra’s mouth and floated over the air before falling down and forming three Ezra’s from the ground up, in other words toe to head. Like most jutsu it was an amazing sight to behold and it was even more amazing because it created three copies of one of the most handsome ninja in the hidden sand. This jutsu would probably drive some girls mad; Trilby however would most likely be a different story.

“Grab him!” Ezra ordered the clones as the strong feeling earth style gave him had arisen in his heart. Ezra didn't expect the clones to do much besides possibly distracting Trilby or breaking his guard. Ezra and the clones went into action. They crisscrossed each others paths to cloud Trilby’s knowledge of which Ezra was the real Ezra. Then they separated one to the left and one to the right. Ezra and the remaining clone charged head on, and side by side. Ezra had the gist of what he would do and what he might do based on a couple if scenarios he had generated in his mind. Ezra definitely had developed skills in strategy since he left Sunagakure for the exams. He wouldn’t make the mistake of underestimating his sparring partner though, he was obviously a good ninja to have the rank of Special Jounin. Ezra was unsure why Trilby was a Special Jounin. What exactly was the area that Trilby excelled in? Ezra would probably come to find out in the sparring match.

Ezra raised his index finger to trilby, indicating for him to wait a second while he stretched. Odd that he hadn't done so while they were dictating the rules of engagement, but I suppose not everyone had to be reasonable. Trilby took this time to consider what could occur while his opponent pontificated. He'd probably either use some form of supplementary attack or just a direct assault to test the waters. It'd be useful to see what kind of elements he could use, anyway. After all, he had no idea what his opponent could do. Perhaps he was a psychopath who used water techniques in the desert, or perhaps he used strange non elemental techniques involving ink, or something equally exotic. Still, only one way to find out.

Ezra clapped loudly, signifying the start of the spar. As he began to form hand seals, Trilby recognised what it was before he even spoke the name, as it was a technique he knew well. Iwa bunshin no jutsu. Well, Trilby thought to himself, what better way to counter stone clones than with stone clones? Trilby signed with him in kind, forming the Snake, Ox and Ram seals. "Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu!" he said, as he began to spew up a large amount of stone, that swirled before him in one large spiraling sphere before splintering off into three spheres that rapidly formed into perfect clones of the finest shinobi the sand had ever seen; Trilby. The clones of Trilby shadowed Ezra's clones perfectly, while the original stepped back a few feet, leaving his clones to manage the incoming onslaught. It was early in the fight, but it was time he revealed his hand already.

Trilby put his hands together, forming a series of hand seals that he was absolutely positive his opponent had never seen before. The sequence was as follows; Confront, God, Fight, Peace, Sin; Ox, Dog, Rabbit, Boar. Trilby slammed his right palm onto the ground at his feet, a small glyph appearing where it landed. This technique was the reason he was a Special jounin. It didn't look like much, but contained within this technique was the first step into an entirely new branch of Fuuinjutsu, one that only he could perform. Little did his opponent know, if he came within 8 metres of this seal, it would detonate, causing Doton: Retsudo Tenshō to be cast at him by the seal. And being that his clones were not more advanced shadow stone clones, they couldn't trigger the effect themselves. Trilby hoped this would lead him to believe that this seal was benign from a distance, an assumption he would live to regret. Trilby remained stood by his seal, observing the fight that played out before him as he waited eagerly for his enemies next move. The fight hadn't progressed far, but he was enjoying it already. He had revealed he uses stone techniques, but beyond that Trilby knew basically nothing about him. Perhaps he'd use the other iconic Sunagakure release of wind jutsu while he was at it, or perhaps stone was all he used.

Ezra could only smile at the fact he was running along side himself straight into battle. The only thing that could make him smile more was if Trilby had stuck by his clones. Too bad really, Ezra was interested in a more head on exchange. He kept the plan for the clones the same except divided Trilby’s clones among them. Two clones, The first attacks one of Trilby’s clones from the side with a side kick and the other follows his lead but against Trilby's second clone. The third by Ezra’s side would take the remaining clone head on with a front thrust kick but before that Ezra pulled back behind his clone noticing the placement of a seal-like pattern burnt onto the sand. It seemed to be created with some funny hand signs Ezra couldn’t recognize but it also held some of the hand signs Ezra could recognize. If he hadn’t known any better he would have said it was an earth style ninjutsu judging by the pattern of the hand seals he recognized. Ezra was a little unsure of what to think of the unknown signs but he put it in the back of his mind. ‘If that’s Fuuinjutsu then this guy is a cheater.’ Ezra jumped onto his clones shoulders just before the clone had met with Trilby’s. A new plan was going to be put into action, well, for Ezra anyway.

Ezra jumped from his clone’s shoulders. Using his incredible leg strength from fifteen years of mastering Tae Kwon Do, his main Taijutsu focus, he soared ten meters above and over the seal-like jutsu on the ground with a one hundred and eighty degree flip. Trilby also standing by the seal was soared over. As Ezra relished the brief moment he had in the sky, he also felt the need to take care of business. “Lightning Style: Electromagnetic Murder” he called out spinning the one eighty in the sky. Azure lightning sparks crackled at his fingertips before shooting down a full fledged stream of lightning down at trilby’s feet. It didn’t matter to Ezra whether the technique had hit or not, it was just training after all, but he did hold a big curiosity about the seal. If Trilby dodged the lightning the lightning would head straight for the seal-like jutsu on the floor. Ezra wondered how the jutsu would react to his chakra crafted lightning even though he was still unsure of what the jutsu was like in the first place. Ezra would then land rather gracefully about four meters away from where Trilby and the seal stood with his lightning styled technique over. Ezra would be for the most part ready for whatever came his way, like most ninja always were.

The first of Trilby's clones ate a harsh kick to the side of his ribcage, a blow that cleanly tore through his inferior stone shell, causing him to rapidly dissolve into a fine grey dust before their eyes as his form betrayed him. The second and third clones of Trilby began to fall back to where the original was standing after Trilby left out a harsh, high pitched whistle, a signal to his clones to get the hell out of there. Trilby knew the opponent's taijutsu prowess was vastly superior, and the only way he'd be able to adequately fight was near the original. From the slew of clones, one of the Ezra's stood on another's shoulders, leaping into the air with a mighty kick, flying a good ten metres into the air above Trilby and his clones.

As soon as his opponent shouted out the words "Lightning Style", a slight feeling of panic overtook Trilby. His ninjutsu seal didn't have many weaknesses, but if that lightning style attack missed him, it'd hit the seal, causing the ground beneath it to shatter, taking the seal with it. He had no choice in the matter, he had to cancel it out. Sure, he could get his two clones to block it, but he'd lose both of them due to Lightnings advantage over stone. Wind, however, was a natural conductor. If he could collide an equal ranked Fuuton Technique with that attack, it would not only stop the lightning, it'd keep going due to the elemental superiority. Clapping his palms together, Trilby focused a maw of chakra into his hands, rapidly converting it to wind nature chakra before thrusting out his hands, "Fūton: Reppūshō!" a swirling maw of chaka infused air rocketed towards the lightning, cancelling it out as the two techniques collided. Since the techniques were of equal rank, and Trilby's had an elemental advantage, it kept going, but missed the already falling Ezra, who landed a good four metres away from Trilby; well within the seal's bubble. Still, Trilby was not done yet. Before his opponent pierced the bubble, he knew he'd have to mask the technique if it had any chance of landing. Breathing deep, Trilby blew out a strong burst of air pressure into the ground below where Ezra would land, bathing the area in a rather large dust cloud, masking the entire area.

The second Ezra began to fall near the seal, it flared red, and before Ezra had hit the ground, the stone beneath where he would land began to swirl and churn, if he landed in it, it would twist and grind up, devouring him in it's wake and leaving him trapped, bloody and broken. Trilby's dust screen had one negative effect; he couldn't see if Ezra had been trapped or not. Still, this fight was a lot more interesting than he expected it to be. His opponent had an interesting spread of techniques. He had demonstrated an ability to use Lightning and Earth techniques, and Trilby doubted he'd be able to use another element, though it was technically possible. It was a nice combination for Trilby to fight, as he had an elemental advantage over the Lightning with his wind, and he could use the counterbalancing principle against the enemies stone techniques.

Even though Trilby had succeeded in nullifying Ezra’s lightning styled attack with a wind styled attack of his own Ezra couldn’t help but smile as his three clones stood intact and one of Trilby’s had been destroyed. The fight was now four against three. Ezra had the numbers but not the advantage. He ordered his clones to fall back. Ezra watched Trilby as he blew air down at the ground possibly through the use of a wind styled ninjutsu. The air he blew at the ground forced the dust and sand to shroud the spot of Ezra’s landing. How could a technique like this benefit Trilby? Ezra hadn’t the slightest inkling except for the possibility of a preset trap. That could have been what the seal-like jutsu was for but Ezra wasn’t directly over it so that wouldn’t be likely. It was better to be safe than sorry though, so Ezra activated his Hiding Like a Mole Technique without so much as a peep as he entered the dust cloud getting ready to make contact with the ground. The ninjutsu would keep him from stepping on the ground directly as the chakra channeling effect works around the whole body.

Ezra simply sank into the ground little by little. The fine sand around him turned and churned which made him do the exact same. He felt as if he was in a toilet being flushed. Fortunately the feeling was just that thanks to his mole technique. If the ground in Ezra’s immediate area had not been changed to fine sand he would have been crushed or mangled by Trilby’s ninjutsu, there was even a possibility of being buried alive. Ezra realized this could severely injure someone which angered him. He understood they were both Jounin and could take the pain but this ninjutsu, to him, seemed a little much but then again maybe he was a hypocrite, after all, lightning hurt like hell. Ezra decided not to think too much of it as the ground stopped spinning. Now fully submerged, about 3 meters in the ground Ezra took a breath and started to think of a plan.

The fight, to Ezra, seemed like it was at a stand still. He and his opponent were equal in terms of ninjutsu ability and one chakra nature but Trilby no doubt had the advantage overall considering his wind style was more than a match for Ezra’s lightning style. Ezra was sure he could handle a bit of wind though, especially taking into account the fact that it was just a friendly spar and no one was trying to kill the other. Ezra smiled as he felt this was the best training he had gotten in a while. He felt some growth had come to him and the training also seemed to be a pretty good simulation of real world combat against other strange shinobi. You had to be ready for the unknown as a shinobi and Trilby was a bit of an enigma and he definitely kept Ezra on his toes.

OOC: I wish i'd got my Kami-no-Me before we started this thread, it'd be perfect here. I'd be able to use my thermal vision mode to see where you are. D= but I got it too late unless you want to be fantastic and give me the go ahead.

While the dust was thick, an idea hatched in his mind. Ezra was a jounin, and he could manipulate the earth element. Assuming his reaction times were fast enough he'd be able to avoid the death-trap he prepared for him, even with the vision obstruction. However, this dust cloud blinded Trilby as much as it did Ezra, he couldn't see the results of it. Still, he could use this for his advantage. A loud snap of his fingers rang out, and one of his clones came over to where Trilby stood, nodding as the original began to sink into the earth at his feet, where the seal once laid. the stone clone stepped over where Trilby was now buried in an attempt to pretend to be him. It shouldn't be too difficult though, considering they were physically identical.

The dust settled, and the clone looked around. He knew the original couldn't see, so he'd have to fill him in somehow. "Where the hell is he.... not beside, behind, above... below? He couldn't be. Is he under the earth?" he narrated aloud as he examined the environment around him, speaking with just enough volume for the original to hear him. He made sure to phrase it in such a way that if Ezra had some sort of strange enhanced hearing he'd be unable to tell a swap occurred. Trilby pondered this. If he was underground, and his opponent was too, it came down to if Ezra had some sort of extra-sensory technique, for if he did it would be... problematic for him. After all, he used lightning. Trilby's mind began to wander, to his last sparring match, where he brawled his best friend, Shibirin.

-----------------------Trilby Vs Shibirin, a skirmish of friends-----------------------

Trilby dragged himself from the sort dirt that caked his body, groaning at the burning pain throughout his body. The burn wounds that laced his arms stung as thousands of brains of sand worked their way inwards, aggravating the wounds further. Flopping over onto his back, finally free from the soil, he groaned loudly, unzipping his Flak-Jacket. A large puncture wound sat above his appendix, the exit point of the lightning that had fried his system. "Shibi, I need some help here" He groaned out, his vision going blurry. Was he going to die?...

-----------------------Current fight-----------------------

Trilby shook his head, dragging himself back into reality. That fight happened forever ago, whereas this one was happening right now, he had no time to get lost in his past defeats. Lightning elemental attacks were highly dangerous while underground, as their ability to snake their way through the dirt would be dangerous as hell in his current situation. Surely he didn't know Trilby was here though... he'd be okay, right? Right... Trilby hadn't been afraid of Ezra until this point. Hopefully his opponent wasn't some sort of genius or he'd been on a one way trip to a hospital... again.

OOC: Sorry Bud. Only Ninjutsu those were the rules. Were about to be done anyway, with our word counts at least.

Ezra could fall asleep. He was hidden in the earth and felt so free. Free from his training which he felt like he had completed and free from his opponent. He was quite possibly a little too free and relaxed. While Ezra was taking it easy and hanging out under the earth he didn’t even realize Trilby had replaced his presence on the surface with a clone and went underground as well. No matter, Ezra wasn’t planning on moving around anytime soon. He snuggled up a bit to the fine sand he converted by channeling his chakra into. Ezra’s opponent would have to come to him especially since Ezra had enough air to keep himself set for a little while longer.

Using his chakra Ezra sent his clones to attack Trilby and his clones. ‘Three against two… huh?’ Ezra thought. ‘Wait! I’m sure he had two clones. Did he cancel one out? No. I mean why would he do that?’ Ezra questioned beginning to panic a little. It was a little less panic and more so shock, as how could he have let himself get so relaxed with a training partner so skilled. Ezra couldn’t tell what he was thinking. There was only one sure way to find out. Ezra kept underground and ordered his clones to go in for the kill. Hopefully they’d both make out successful.

Ezra had two of his clones work as a team and charge in at one of Trilby’s clones, the clone that had taken his place, from the sides. One would go for a high kick to the face and the other a low kick to the back of the knee simultaneously as to use the opposing forces to send the clone crumbling two ways. Ezra’s third clone would charge in with speed at Trilby’s last clone and hopefully take him out with a spinning back kick aimed at the shoulder.

Regardless of the clone’s outcomes he would stay put in the ground until it was time to come up. He would sieze the opportunity the ground had given him if Trilby came near. His next ninjutsu was sure to be lightning styled.

OOC: sorry for the delay, been busy. Seen the jutsu library update? That was me.

Trilby felt cramped in the stone burrow he had pulled himself into, it reminded him of the mines he had grown up in, dark, dank, cold and miserable. Unlike Ezra, he couldn't simply float around under the stone like it was water, he had a very limited range of movement until he decided to burst out of the ground. He still felt rather anxious, being against someone who used lightning. He couldn't use an elemental counter underground.

The dust cloud on the surface settled down on the floor of the arena once again, as Ezra's clones began to charge at Trilby and his duplicates. Though he couldn't see this, the sound of feet pounding reverberated through the ground around him. It was an obvious, rhythmical pattern. Trilby listened to this with patience for a few seconds, waiting for a signal from his clones before he realised something blindingly obvious. He hadn't made another clone to cover his disappearance, the fact that he was gone would be obvious to count. Stupid, genin grade mother fucker, are you trying to get yourself killed?!

Trilby's hand burst through the soil, dragging himself onto the surface with a groan. staring around at the environment around him, the clone that had been standing above him was a few feet in-front of him, struggling to avoid a dual-pronged assault from Ezra's clones. It was clear the original hadn't rejoined the ranks by the number of Ezras that there were. The other clone was running away from the physically superior clone of Ezra, who was slowly but surely gaining speed on him. Turning his focus to the clone in-front of him, who was struggling to avoid multiple blows from Ezra's duplicates, The original put his hands together. "You. Combo 15" he said confidently to his duplicate, quickly forming a few hand seals. Dog, Boar, Bird. The clone lunged in-between the two clones as swiftly as he could.

"Doton: Doryuusou no Jutsu!" Trilby stated quickly, as the skin of his stone clone began to lose form, rapidly turning to stone as spikes shot out of his limbs and torso towards both of Ezra's clones near him. Trilby's clone had been sacrificed for the attack, it would be interesting to see if they were taken down by it. And where was the original? Trilby had to remember to watch his feet and listen for shifting dirt, lest he be ambushed.

Ezra smiled as he sensed Trilby back on the surface. Ezra smiled because it was about time he went back up. ‘Why am I hiding like a little girl.’ he thought. Ezra really was becoming a muscled oaf who eats, sleeps, and breaths taijutsu. He wasn't hiding like a girl, he was just using shinobi stealth tactics which were working. If only his ninjutsu training would really affect his mind rather than just sharpening it?

Before Ezra knew it the smile on his face disappeared as he couldn’t feel his clones on the surface anymore. ‘What a guy?’ He questioned about Trilby in his mind; it was more of a compliment really. Ezra’s clones crumbled due to the earthen spikes of one of Trilby’s great jutsu. Ezra rose to the surface slowly as he talked to himself. “Fighting fire with fire? Makes sense. Well actually in this case it’s earth against earth.” After speaking he chuckled. The joke might have been corny and his laugh even cornier but it made the training that much more enjoyable. Ezra loves to laugh and loves jokes so he decided to end the training on a light note with a small bang like that. It might have been selfish on Ezra’s part but it wouldn’t be worthwhile for Trilby to spar with somebody who was halfhearted with their attempts. The bit of training they did would suffice.

Ezra popped his head out of the ground about five meters away from the real Trilby and ten meters from their remaining clones. “Stop!” Ezra called out with a smile to his clone. The clone stopped the charge which would have probably ended in Trilby’s clone becoming an assortment of debris and shattered rock. “Hey, I think I’m done for the day.” Ezra turned the fine sand under his feet back into harder rock and sand which pushed him up to the surface. “Whaddaya’ say? Let’s call it quits.” Ezra’s informal speech arose once again as he turned to Trilby and scratched the back of his head.

"Stop!" Ezra cried out. Oh? Was it over already? How uneventually short for a brawl. The clone of Trilby that was being chased down by Ezra turned to see the clone had stopped chasing him. Frustrated, he swung, belting the clone in the face and causing him to rapidly degenerate. "HEY! Manners!" Trilby yelled at his replica, tossing a kunai which landed squarely in the clone's forehead, causing him to collapse. "Sorry about that" he said with a smile, turning towards Ezra. He looked tired, how... unexpected. "I suppose I'm alright with ending it here. Pleasure meeting you, Ezra." Trilby said lightly, going to retrieve his kunai. It had been a good day, but it seemed the festivities were over. It was time for him to head off.

What a nice guy.’ Ezra said to himself. Not only did Trilby take out his own clone for a cheap shot but he also wasn’t angry by Ezra calling an end to such a short training session. Trilby told Ezra it was a pleasure and that is when Ezra knew it was indeed. Trilby set off while Ezra stood to meditate a little while longer. “See ya’ later Trilby.” Ezra waved seeing a newfound friend off.
