Alwen Sangotatsu

Alwen Sangotatsu

D-rank
While normally, Alwen would say she was a fan of water. In fact, she was a suiton specialist, so, it’d be daft to pretend she didn’t have a leaning towards the element. But, well, in this particular situation, she would probably have preferred there to be less water. And what was this particular situation? Well, to simplify it in the best way possible, it was ironic stupidity. A suiton specialist, meditating on a boat in a storm. And then just as she went to go inside, bonk, knocked herself down, knocked herself out, and fell in the water like a muppet. It was a miracle she was still alive as she felt her body battered by wave after wave, wave after wave, slowly drifting.

Except not really, and we’re going to pretend that song was never quoted.

In fact, the time she was lost at sea was barely soft as the wicked waves of the water’s rage smacked her, keeping the girl in a barely conscious state as she found herself gasping for breath whenever she could. It wasn’t enough though, and she soon ended up swept beneath the water, unable to reach the top for air. It was terrifying, and the thought that her strength would literally be her undoing was horrifying in itself. She wanted to hydro kinesis; to simply control her problems and get them away, but the wound to her head made doing so pretty much impossible. She couldn’t think. As a Sangotatsu, she could hold her breath, but for how long?

Time seemed like nothing, a thing that simply didn’t exist, and as she felt her mind lose consciousness once more, there was no panic to her. Just an acceptance that she died stupidly. Or at least, she thought she was about to die.

She couldn’t remember how, but, at some point or another, the girl woke up, gasping for air and coughing up water, flopping around on the stones of a rocky beach, body bruised and sore. Slowly, she got up, groaning as she did so and gripping at her head. Her forehead protector was still on her shoulder, and she found her belongings were too, at least, her ninja pouch. What happened? Oh right… She fell off a boat. But the real question posed to her now, was where was she? Her head hurt a lot, and as a warm feeling trickled down her face, she realised she was bleeding. Perhaps panic would have spread through her more if she wasn’t so… Tired, numb, and weak. The horror of drowning, and washing up in a foreign place was just… Too difficult for her to really deal with the pain right now. Stretching out slowly, the girl walked away from the shore, inland. To her surprise, there was a road nearby, confirming that there was civilisation on this island at the very least. How big was this island? It seemed an odd question, but, right now, the girl just had to think of anything, to make sure she could still think at least.

She made her way to the road, steps unsure, unsteady, before grabbing at some nearby bushes, taking a few long leaves, and making a makeshift bandage. Alwen had to find the society that this road led to, and she had to do so before she fainted of blood loss. There had to be some kind of medical help, right? She had to be able to make it out alive, right? The doubt was worthless, and she shook her head slowly, stumbling her way towards whichever seemed the most in-land direction. This would be tough.
