Clan Name: 日野で一族, Hinode Ichizoku
Location: Kumogakure no Sato.
Specialization: None required.
Clan History: The Hinode clan was once a proud band of warriors, an elite force for Kumo that would be sent out to a battlefield that for any other would be considered suicide. They were fearless, and right to be; while what didn't kill them didn't make them stronger, it very certainly could never threaten their death. They were whispered as immortals, these Hinode, and for a time of yore were amongst the most feared in battle.
However, an incident occurred one day outside of Kumo; a member of the clan, having crossed a dog in a village on the outskirts. As they bled from a bite wound, ever so briefly, that vigorous ichor landed in the dish of the local stray cat, known to have had a broken leg for some time. When that neko partook of its food, its leg healed within a day. However, while that wandering cat was healing, the Hinode could not say the same. Soon those from the clan began to be captured and imprisoned. Their blood became a black market trade gem, and the clan was driven to near extinction.
It was said that only one person had survived the waves of kidnappings, a young girl of less than 20 years, as it's told. A whirlwind, a bolt from the blue, the very earth quaked itself, whimpered the witnesses of her initial attack, and the survivors of the retribution from the entire clan itself. Though her kin were not deceased, they were being restrained, used like cattle.
The clan, for a time, had scattered to the four winds to evade any more black market dealings, and to muster their strength again. With news of the attack on Kumogakure no Sato having reached the corners of the globe, the main members of the clan have since rejoined and settled once more in the high reaches of the Hidden Cloud.
Members: Song Hinode (Defunct Leader)
Kekkei Genkai Name: Body of Everlasting Time (永久体, Towa-Tai)
Kekkei Genkai Description: Towa-Tai is a type of enhanced bodily defense, similar to a chakra-empowered version of the immune system.
The Hinode naturally have an imbalance in their physical and mental energy stores. Because of their naturally high physical energy, they naturally and unconsciously increase their white & red blood cell and plasma counts, preventing them from becoming ill by natural means. Notably, the Hinode also have a peculiar mutation: their telomeres shorten at one-sixteenth the normal rate with cell division, and their bodies do not naturally produce free radicals as a result of metabolism. To this end, a Hinode is, to many others, biologically immortal, being that, by calculation only, they can reach ages to see seven centuries. (This, of course, has never been the case, as a Hinode is almost always killed, either by an assailant or themselves, before they can elapse more than two normal lifespans.) Due to this slow senescence, a Hinode will often look much younger than they actually are, a 30-year-old being seen as a mere teenager, and even a supercentenarian appearing and acting as if in their prime.
Because of their powerful life force and imbalance in physical and mental energies, those of the clan, from the time they are small, are taught to direct this excess energy to its most useful function: automatic self-reparation. Though the amount of damage one can heal is proportional to how much excess physical energy each ninja has, it is a potent ability in its own right, across any ninja rank.
It is likened to a constant application of both the Mystical Palm Technique and the Yin Healing Wound Destruction, in that it can both mitigate initial damage and accelerate the healing process to mend it.

- Lesser damage from E-rank attacks (1/4" cuts and scrapes) as well as minor burns less than 1st-degree heal on the post after they are inflicted. The Hinode cannot be bruised from E-rank attacks, as they heal their blood vessels as fast as they can be broken.
- Two posts after they are inflicted, burns will be healed by one degree of severity (major 1st to minor 1st, completely mending a minor 1st-degree), and any cut will be reduced in all dimensions by 1/2". Bruising is also healed by one degree (reducing major to minor, completely healing minor).
- The Hinode takes 2 more posts to bleed out than normal.

- All E-rank attacks can be healed from on the same post they're inflicted.
- Damage from D-rank attacks, such as 3/4" cuts or piercing, first-degree burns, and minor bruises heals on the post after they are inflicted.
- On the second post after they are inflicted, burns will be healed by one whole degree of severity; a minor 2nd-degree burn becomes minor 1st-degree. Any cut will be reduced in all dimensions by 1".
- If their bones are cracked, it takes 2 posts for them to knit back together. A broken bone, while it can be re-set to allow movement, is still treated as cracked after the same period.
- The Hinode takes 4 more posts to bleed out than normal.

- Damage from C-rank attacks (1.25" cuts and piercing) as well as all minor second-degree burns heal on the same post they are inflicted, and damage is mitigated likewise. The Hinode cannot suffer external bruises, as they heal their blood vessels as fast as they can be broken.
- On the post after they are inflicted, burns will be healed by one whole degree of severity; a minor 2nd-degree burn becomes minor 1st-degree. Any cut will be reduced in all dimensions by 2". Cracked bones will be mended, and broken bones can be re-fused, albeit still cracked, in the same time. A shattered bone cannot be repaired.
- The Hinode cannot die of exsanguination.

- Damage from B-rank attacks (2.5" cuts and piercing) as well as all major second-degree burns heal on the same post they are inflicted, and damage is mitigated likewise. The Hinode cannot suffer external bruises, as they heal their blood vessels as fast as they can be broken. Their bones knit together as fast as they may be cracked.
- On the post after they are inflicted, burns will be healed by one whole degree of severity; a minor 2nd-degree burn becomes minor 1st-degree. Any cut will be reduced in all dimensions by 3". Broken bones will also re-knit to be fully healed and intact within the same time.
- After 2 posts, a Hinode's shattered bones can piece themselves back together, though the bone is still treated as cracked.
- The Hinode cannot die or pass out via natural exsanguination.
If a wound is partially mended once by the Hinode's healing factor, the ability will thereafter ignore that injury, unless there are no other ones to treat.
Even if the ninja is able to focus on healing a single injury, the secondary bout of regeneration is much less potent than the first, being treated as one 'level' lower; A and S-ranks get C and B-rank healing, and so forth. (D-rank ninja cannot passively heal wounds their first regeneration did not completely treat.)
If an injury is so severe that even two regenerations is not enough, it can only then be treated with either basic first aid or Medical Ninjutsu, depending on the gravity of the wound.
The Hinode have learned from their captors and torturers, the means of harvesting their own power. They can apply for the following special item.
- Spoiler:
- Code:
[b]Name:[/b] [u]Flasks of Vim [管の命, [i]Kan-no-I[/i]][/u]
[b]Type of Item:[/b] Hypodermic Autoinjector (Medical Required)
[b]Rank:[/b] C
[b]Quantity:[/b] - (Restocks upon thread start)
[b]Ability/Function:[/b] Already pre-filled with a special solution. This has no effect on its own; when used with the hypodermic attachment the first time, it draws the blood of the person it's stabbed in. On a normal person, this has no effect, putting the blood in nothing more than a simple stasis.
When mixed with Hinode blood, the entire solution transforms its antibodies and white blood cells into non-'flagged' versions of themselves, allowing them to re-assign themselves and serve whatever human or animal that is injected. With such a solution, the blood of the Hinode can be injected into anyone with no negative effect.
However, this invention, as any, is not completely perfect. The injector will inevitably leak some of the solution back into the Hinode's bloodstream, disabling their healing factor for the post of drawing and the next post after. For another 3 posts after they recover their healing ability, another injection is impossible, their body not having recovered completely from the last.
When the Hinode blood solution is injected into a non-Hinode, the person gains regeneration at the same rank of the Hinode whose blood was used, though only for 1 post. If a Hinode is injected with the blood solution at all, their healing factor is disabled for 3 posts.
[b]Appearance:[/b] A simple metal cylinder with a needle at one end. It is 12cm in length and 4cm in diameter.
Drawbacks: A Hinode cannot take the Born Ill, Fatigued, Pharmacophobia, or Hemophilia SCs, or any other negative SC that would imply some sort of compromised health.
Their hyper-sensitive and hyper-effective immune systems usually keep them illness-free due to rejecting and destroying all forms of extraneous life. However, if something not part of them originally is grafted onto them, they either reject and destroy the offending life-form or kill the cells next to it. A Hinode can receive no transplant of any kind, and cannot use prostheses. Likewise, their body parts cannot be transplanted to others.
The most obvious point of disadvantage to this ability is that it cannot be 'turned off'. This permanent difference in quantity of physical and mental energy leaves a ninja from the Hinode with less to balance into chakra, overall leaving them with smaller reserves of chakra. The chakra pool amounts can be found as below.
- Genin: 50 chakra
- Chuunin: 90 chakra
- Special Jounin: 130 chakra
- Jounin: 170 chakra
- S-rank: 210 chakra
- SS-rank 275 chakra
