Ezra looked high and low for a clearing in the forests surrounding Konoha. He found one after three hours of searching. Konoha was ripe with trees. It was fun being around them in the beginning of Ezra’s Konoha visit but now, not so much. He was tired of the grass, the leaves and the trees. He missed the sand between his toes and the freedom the wind had around him. The wind always blew nicely there, in Suna. It was never hindered by trees. Ezra also felt that the trees congested the land so he was happy to have finally found a nice, treeless, grassless, and rocky clearing.
“Time to get to work.” He said to a squirrel he stood next to on the branch of a tree that overlooked the boundary of the clearing. The squirrel blinked at Ezra. Then clutched its acorn tighter and scurried off. Ezra laughed at the cuteness of the creature before jumping down to the ground. He stretched for a couple minutes before he started training his new jutsu. He thanked the universe he wasn’t doing any Taijutsu training because that’s really when he breaks a sweat and he wanted nothing more than to relax at that moment.
Ezra sat down on the floor and meditated a little after he stretched. He really wanted to get his chakra circulating throughout its network. He could feel his chakra becoming electric. It seemed as if his body had taken the lead from meditation to actually training the lightning style jutsu he had in mind. He performed the proper hand seals, thinking them as they were performed. ‘Boar, Ram, Snake, Horse, Dragon.’ He could feel the chakra taking its electric properties as it began to travel out of his body. “Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder.” Ezra said out loud as lightning crackled at his fingertips. He aimed downward at an angle forcing the lightning to rip through the rock at the earth’s surface. The stream of lightning only traveled about two meters before it reached its limit. Ezra celebrated as he had never managed before to make lightning appear in a physical form. Up until now he had only drew on the charges to transfer electricity into his opponents.
Ezra was happy with what he had done but a determination rose to the surface while doing this training. He could take this jutsu farther, way farther; he knew he could. He didn’t work his way up a rank to stop when he was happy. He wanted to push the limits and work hard because in the end that would most likely make him most happy.
