Today was... Rainy, to say the least. It was as if there were automated sprinklers in the sky that had all broken, and rather than give out a nice drizzle over everything it was a downpour of rain. Luckily, Daiko liked the rain. It always made him feel more refreshed. He didn't want to ruin any of his clothes, so he left his house only wearing a bathing suit. He didn't look too bad, but it wasn't like he was bulging with muscle. He was a little skinnier than most ninja, and looked pretty weak. It was whatever, it wasn't like he would run into someone. He decided that he would investigate a large lake that he had heard talk about.

Leaving his house, he lets the water wash over him a little bit, and it soaked him almost instantly. He was glad that he had worn a bathing suit. Walking in the direction he assumed the lake was, he smiled. It was such a nice day for him. He hated the dry heat, it made him feel dehydrated and that sucked. Continuing toward the lake, he had plenty of time to think about what he was going to be doing today.

He figured it would just be a nice training day for him, doing all kinds of cool stuff with water and hoping to become stronger. Daiko decided that he would start by walking on some water, maybe making a few doppelgangers, and walk up a tree or something. Halfway to the lake, he decided that he would try to transform into a piece of sushi. Focusing his chakra really quickly, he turns into a 5 foot by 5 foot piece of sushi. He felt quite ridiculous, as the average piece of sushi was only 1 or 2 inches long. Turning back into his normal form, he shrugs.

Ah, this walk was a lot longer than he expected. It was taking forever to get to where he was going... No matter though, he figured that he should be arriving soon. The rain did not let up even a bit, as it was still pouring when he was almost there. He could see the lake in his site, and his eyes got very wide. It was a huge lake. This would be very fun to mess around on. He than begain to run toward the lake, flailing as he ran.

Finishing up his jog, he makes his way to the edge of the lake. The first thing he did was look in amazement at the sheer size of the lake. It was almost impossible to see the other side. I mean, this thing was HUGE. He just kind of stood in awe for a second. Then, he decided it would be best if he did his training on this water. Walking out onto it, he can very easily stand on the surface of the lake under him. It was still raining, so he was literally surrounded by water. Standing there, he was thinking of something cool that he could do.

He breaths in deeply, being mindful of the chakra in his system, condensing it with suiton chakra in his lungs. Blowing out slowly, he feels a slightly cool mist leaving his mouth, and knows that it is slowly spreading. He then condenses the mist into 12 little globs of water in the air, which he begins to make spiral around him. The orbs traveled slowly around him, about 5 meters away from him. Taking a deep breath inwards, he closes his eyes, then opens them. As he opens them, the globs of water explode into seafoam, going all over the place and covering him in sea foam. Because of the heavy rain, however, Daiko is cleaned of the sea foam almost instantly. Blinking a few times, he felt like using that jutsu right now wasn't really useful, as it wasn't a nice bubble bath like he imagined. Sighing, he paces on the water.

[Water Release: Seafoam, -5 Chakra]

Maybe he should do like.. Some pushups or something? He got down on his hands, still being sure to balance perfectly on the water, using the supernatural walking practice that he had mastered long ago. Slowly lowering himself down, he the lifts himself up, doing a stereotypical push up. He continued to do that until he was feeling a bit tired, which was at about thirty. Maybe now he should practice doing something else, like maybe running. Getting ready, he slowly jogs on the water to make sure that he's alright. He then begins to speed up more than that, now running on the water. He had to pay special attention to the chakra being focused in his feet, as he didn't want to end up falling in the water. As he was running across the flat lake, a fish about 2 feet long and 1 foot wide came shooting out of the water. Although startled, Daiko quickly turns the center of his chest into water, and the fish goes flying right through it.

[Hydrification Technique, -5 Chakra, -3 HydroPoints]

That was... Pretty scary. It was a pretty basic looking fish, kinda looking like a carp or something. He continued to run on the water, noticing that bigger and bigger fish were coming out of the water. No lie, the fish just kept getting bigger. Daiko stops for a second, looking around. He was hoping the fish didn't get too big, as they might try to eat him. Suddenly, a 10 foot long and 5 foot thick fish came shooting out of the water with it's mouth open, aiming for Daiko. He was not going to have that, and dodged swiftly out of the way. He shook his fist at the fish and got ready for when it was going to come at him from the water again. It was still pouring out, so the fish was kinda hard to see. As soon as he heard the sound of water splashing, he quickly moved his hand forward, and a blade made out of water began to race at the fish at 20 m/s. It cut through the fish no problem, splitting it clean in half. All of it's guts and stuff got all over Daiko, but luckily it was raining so it all pretty much washed off instantly. He noticed that it was a very good idea not to wear his hoodie today, as it would have gotten filthy.

[Water Release: Rising Slice, -10 Chakra]

Daiko had seen enough fish at this point, so he decided that he would try to head back to dry land. Well, it wasn't really dry because of all this damn rain everywhere, but it was a lot easier than standing around in the lake. It didn't take him too long to make it back to the shore that he had been at earlier, and he steps off of the lake and sits on the ground. Closing his eyes, he crosses his legs and begins to meditate and rest. Mostly rest.

Resting was nice. Daiko finally had a chance now to let his mind wander and to question the skills he had. He could feel that he was getting stronger, faster, and more reactive. He felt like the rain was helping him feel more cool headed and relaxed. He decided that he would do more push ups. It didn't seem like a bad idea to do 100 push ups without stopping, no matter how exhausted he got. He got into position, and started doing push ups. The rain was coming down hard on his back, but it just gave him more motivation to keep going. After about 20, he was starting to get a little bit tired, which wasn't good in his eyes. By the time 30 push ups came around, he was starting to get a little more tired. At 50, he felt like his arms were starting to burn. Rather than quit, Daiko tries to power through. He made it to 70 eventually, and he was trying to keep his push ups going in a steady rhythm. He makes it to 90, and his arms feel like they are going to break. He grits his teeth hard, pushing himself to his limit. At 95, his face was probably bright red, all the muscles in his arm bulging out. He finishes those last five in good time, and then falls to the ground. Hey, although that was probably the most strenuous work he's done so far, he feels a little bit stronger because of it.

His arms were pretty much jelly, so he looked for something else he could do while they got better. What better idea would there be other than to run back and fourth? This struck him as such a good idea, he got started on it right away. His arms were loosely hanging from his body, and they felt like they had been worked very hard in the amount of time that he had worked out. He was hoping this run would get his blood pumping and make the soreness in his arms go away. The water helped slightly, and he didn't sweat at all. The water was cooling him off as he ran, so it was a perfect combination for him. Going at his full speed, Daiko goes about 50 meters then turns back and goes to where he was standing beforehand. It's a pretty basic run, and he's waiting until he gets to sprinting. By the time he has gone back and fourth about 5 times while running, he decides it would be best to do 5 more while sprinting. Going as fast as he can, he sprints back and fourth a total of 10 times, before collapsing where he had been doing push ups earlier.

So, Daiko's legs were pretty much exausted too, so he decided to lay on his back and close his eyes. The rain was still pouring down on him, and it felt great. The soreness in his muscles were still there, but he found it easier to breath and relax, slowly regaining his energy. He was going to spend some time sitting around so that he could get to doing whatever was next after this. Daiko spent some more time catching his breath before standing up and stretching out his arms. He did some stretches, and his muscles were feeling a lot more usable after a good resting. Attempting to stand up, Daiko falls back down. It looks like his legs still feel like jello. Laughing, he slowly pulls himself up, forcing his muscles to do the work that he needed it to do. By the time that he was standing straight up, he felt a lot better and wasn't struggling to move around or even stand still. Doing a couple stretches while standing, Daiko gets ready for whatever exercise he was going to have to be doing next. He really hoped that he didn't have to do a hard one, or at least a hard one that didn't involve his arms or legs moving at all.

Something that Daiko noticed pretty quickly was that the rain was kinda hard to see through. He had pretty sharp eyes though, so he wanted to see what he might be able to spot out over the lake or something. Walking slowly around the lake, he looked as far as he could. It looked just the same as the lake in front of him did, it was a very massive plane of water. It was impressive to say the least, and it would probably be a place where Daiko would have an advantage in a fight. With all the water around, he could get lost in the water, either by hiding in the water or just turning his hand to water. Come to think of it, Daiko didn't really know how he would end up being able to hide in water, maybe he'd figure that out some other time. Clearing his throat, he looks back over the lake. He knows that he can turn a small-ish part of him into water, he just wonders when he is going to be able to turn his whole body into water. He did notice that when he turns a part of his body to water, he gets a little bit more thirsty. Daiko figures that if he doesn't lose too much water from his system, he would be fine to use that technique quite a few times.

As Daiko was staring off into the distance, he notices that there is a fish jumping out of the water. A foolish idea came to mind: what if he was able to catch the fish as it jumped out of water? He would be like a wild animal grabbing its food. Standing at the edge of the lake, Daiko waits for a fish to jump out. It didn't seem like there were any fish jumping out. He put a pinkie in the water, but that didn't really do any good either. He wondered what these fish were attracted to. Reaching his entire hand into the water, he notices that fish still aren't swimming up to him. Suddenly, one jumps right by his face. Attempting to grab it with his left hand, Daiko actually does catch it, though it's very slippery. He has to grab it with his other hand to hold the fish in his grasp, and he doesn't want it to flop back out to sea. It was a decently sized fish, at least enough for a meal for him. Maybe if he could find somewhere in the shade or something, he would be able to start a fire, and cook up some nice tasty fish.

Ah, so Daiko was going to end up cooking this fish after all. He searches away from the pond for an area that isn't completely drenched in water. This was just as hard as it would seem, seeing as it had been pouring all day. He walked a pretty good distance, until he found a place where the tree's leaves were perfectly covering a 5 meter by 5 meter area perfect for making a fire. Daiko first started by gathering rocks. He looked around for ones big enough so that he could make a circle around where his fire would be, and he wouldn't set everything on fire. After he had lugged all of the rocks to the place he was building the campfire, he realized that it was raining all around so it didn't really have to worry about setting anything on fire. It was no matter though, as now he had to find some dry sticks to get this fire going. The tree that he was under was huge, and looked to have plenty of dead branches and stuff all over it. Deciding to get these, Daiko focuses chakra into his feet and begins to walk up the tree. As he makes it up the side, he begins to snap off the dead twigs, dropping them into the fire pit that he was working on below. As Daiko got higher on the tree, he noticed that some of the wood was becoming thicker. It wasn't so thick that he couldn't break it off with his hands though, so that was exactly what he did. All the wood that he had to worry about was now laying down in the pile under the tree, so he climbed to the bottom of the tree. Now he had to arrange all of the wood so that it would actually light on fire. He stacked the biggest ones in a tent shape, and tossed all the other fire starting things into the center. Taking a few steps back, he breaths in deeply, then exhales. Checking his pocket, he notices that he actually has a lighter in this pair of swim trunks. It's pretty surprising.

[-5 Chakra, Misty Flame Dance]

And, great. The lighter doesn't work. Quickly rubbing it against his hand and the ground, he tries to get it to light. After a couple minuites of rubbing the lighter to get it dry, it finally sparks and the wood in the fire pit area lights up into a huge flame, the gas that Daiko exhaled earlier being caught on fire by the lighter. So, the fire was ready now. Daiko finds a couple especially big sticks, and puts the fish on a spit. He is probably going to have to be sitting there for a good bit of time just turning the fish on the fire, but he felt like it would be worth it by the time he was done. It was still pouring everywhere outside of his little tree, and he was starting to get cold. He was starting to regret not bringing clothes. Luckily, the fire in front of him was keeping him plenty warm, and he was very cozy in front of it. The fish was beginning to turn a beautiful browned color from the original red of the fish, and it looked like it was almost ready to eat. Daiko hoped that it was worth all of this work to end up with a good meal and not just some gross, overcooked fish. Pulling it off of the spit, he takes a bite out of it, the fish crunching as he bit through the skin and got the meat of the fish. It wasn't too bad, actually. He thought to fish here again sometime. Taking good sized bites out of the fish, he makes sure to pick all the bones out of it. By the time he is done eating all of the fish, there's a nice fish bone pile sitting under him. He just tosses it into the fire and doesn't worry about it further than that. Standing up, he lets the fire continue to burn, but he has to go do other things. After a decently long walk, Daiko is back to the part of the lake that he had been to earlier. He sits in front of it, and meditates.

He is thinking about the chakra that is running through him, filling him with energy. It is a very calming sensation, and it makes him feel very centered. He keeps his eyes closed, focusing on the sounds around him. What stood out the most was the heavy rain coming down and hitting the lake, causing loud dripping sounds. There were also sounds of what seemed to be frogs chirping along with the rain. Nature was a great thing in Daiko's opinion, and it had so many great things about it. Even if it was rainy, when most people would stay inside, frogs and other animals come out and it is perfect for them. Daiko continues to think about other things that are peaceful, before getting up. Stretching and looking around, he notices that he has been here a good part of his day. He figured that it was about time for him to be heading out.

Walking from the lake, he begins the trip back home. His legs feel a bit weak, and his arms feel numb. The water washing over him is beginning to sting his skin, the drops of water becoming heavier and heavier as the day went on. Daiko was just excited to finally get home, he had been doing hard work all day today. He barely knew anyone around the village, and it's not like he met anyone new today. He had just been busting his ass working on everything all day, so he figured that he could probably take a few days off and meet some new ninja around the village. Although he may not stay here for a very long time, Daiko knew that meeting the people that were in the area would be vital if he wanted to make it a long time. The more people he knew, the safer he would be, in his mind. The more people he knew though, he may also not be as safe. He was going to make sure not to talk to people that seemed like they were going to try and cause harm to him or someone around him.

Daiko sighs, still making the walk home. He kind of regrets walking all the way out here to train, but it teaches him a good lesson. Even if he pushes himself to the limit, he still needs to be able to function. He was basically being kept awake by the recently ate fish and adrenaline, so he was hoping that he would make it home soon. He starts to stumble slightly, but catches himself. He was getting more and more tired as the trip went on, and he really needed to get home and get some sleep. Maybe drink some water. He was kind of turned off to the idea because of all of the rain around him, but Daiko could really go for some water.

He was getting closer to home now, the hard part of the walk all said and done. He was walking past some notable things that he knows are on the way to his house, and began to go a little bit faster than the walk that he was currently paced at. He knew that it would be only a bit more exhausting, but it would be a lot shorter until he made it home. This was the plan for him, and when he got home he knew he was going to pass out instantly.

Ah, Daiko finally made it home. His house wasn't exactly something to brag about, but it got him by. He opens the front door and wipes his feet off on the doormat, and walks inside. Going straight to his bathroom, he dries himself off with a towel and gets undressed. Those swim trunks were getting annoying. Because of the rain they were sticking to his legs and he really didn't like that. Hanging the swim trunk up to dry, he walks out of his bathroom and straight to his room. He wants to find the most comfortable pajamas. He decides to grab sweatpants and a large black t-shirt, 1 size too large, to wear to sleep. Slipping on some nice clothes, Daiko crawls into his bed, which is still cool from not being used all day. It was probably the most amazing feeling that he had for that minute, the soft covers and soft mattress pressing against him at the same time as his sore muscles finally got a chance to rest. He sighed with relief. The feeling of bliss only lasted for a moment though, because he passed out almost immediately after laying down. His training session today was rough, and he was going to take a few days off.
