Suki pulled up short having already leaped into a nearby tree and begun searching when Ginza made his announcement of not participating. Suki gave a sigh, and headed back to where everyone else was gathered. If Ginza was not participating she need not worry about him refusing to work as a team. Now, with only Suki and Hatako, both of whom wanted to do this together, there was no point to rushing this. That hand after all, been the point. Now that there was no competition… What was the point of speeding off? ”Sorry about that Hatako, I was worried that Ginza might object to working together… And Kenta-sama had indicated even if subtle, that the time has already started… So it made sense to me to hustle just in case. But with no competition, there is no reason to not communicate.” Suki said this and say down, looking half expectantly at Hatako. Suki had already planned for a team thing...so she had no objections… Supposing the terms were fair. She had no problems working as a team and receiving split credit for any good they had done. But she wasn’t the type to allow anyone to write her off and take full credit. ”As long as we present everything jointly, and take no individual credit… this benefit a both of us, as the one doesn't find the correct coin need not worry so much.” Suki spoke in an odd tone. As if neither wanting to display lack of confidence or overconfidence. Many would interpret her as cocky or arrogant, but they mistook a good mood and playfulness for it. Suki was prone to giving that superior look all cats are prone to, but Any who knew her knew it was a sign she was in a good, if playful mood, not out of arrogance. Suki was careful not to give that look now, out of worry that it would be misconstrued. Nevertheless, she smiled and surveyed Hatako expectantly, her tail, proportionately a bit longer than most, waving back and forward. There was definitely an air of playful eagerness and mild confidence, and a desire to prove herself that lingered around her, she looked much like a cat poised to pounce. Ready and playful, but waiting. That said, she wasn't the type to play devoted sidekick and follower either. She would listen, but would not hesitate to give feedback of her own. She wouldn’t be ignored.
Suki smiled and flicked her ears towards Rippa. Of the joys of ears that could swivel and move without turning the head, and separately at that. She could only imagine some humans were jealous of that ability. But… she imagined most ninja would far rather be human. She was, after all, dwarfed by any humanities than a child. And she was far too light. She was huge for a typical non-big cat, aka a lion or leopard. She had seen domestic cats like her. They were called “Savannah” cats she believed. Half serval. But it was awkward talking about regular cats and breeds and things. Regardless she listened, but didn't glean anything in particular. The village had problems with him clearly, but he had already explained as much earlier. So it hardly interested her. Enough to pay attention to, but not enough to truly care about.
Suki’s other ear swiveled to the other side and twitched, based mostly on instinct. The sound moved suddenly, and her ear twitched and moved. A girl appeared, and asked why a former Hokage and a jounin were not competing… Suki turned towards been mouth slightly opened in confusion, but she didn't say anything. Surely she knew that these two were beyond these tests. I mean… you only had to look at them. They had that aura of experience and power that only jounin and very experienced ninja have. Them taking this test would be pointless. Suki shook her head, and would listen to anything Hatako said, and if she had no objections, she would speed off into the forest.
Her small, lithe body was perfect for searching in the trees. She was small, but agile. Suki scanned here and there, keeping an eye out for coins. Twice she found only soda or beer bottle tops, before she found her first silver coin. Suki smiled as much as she could with the coin in her mouth, and placed it in her backpack, and sped off to scour the park for more.
