It was a calming soothe day in the inviting presence it held. It casted itself like the sun did with it's bright glow. Konohagakure was beautiful today, and the Hidden Leaf wasn't so hidden today. It was a regular day on the calender, but it was obviously open to something greater for young Daichi. The Uzumaki boy grew up in a family home, but they were very traditional. They had a form of tough love that drove him to success, but made him inclined to be harder on himself the most.
Despite these minor flaws, he geniunely saw a beautiful perception of the world. They one casted through his shining bright blue eyes as he sat on the edge of the cliff. This cliff was rather tall, but roughly half the size of the sixty foot trees. Thirty-feet in the air wasn't too bad, and in the rocky terrain was found a waterfall. It stretched in the middle from the top of the cliff, forming from a winding river southwards and peaked over the edge. Quickly it poured off the edge into a pond which was fifteen feet in diameter. It was more like a waterhole than anything, but it was beautiful none-the-less.
His orange bangs covered his Konohagakure(Village Hidden in the Leaf) headband. On the metal protector finely attached to the purple cloth was the Hidden Leaf logo; inscribed. His regular green hoodie was left home, and he wore his under-outfit. It was simple though, and didn't draw too much attention. A snug black T-shirt, a white sash looped through his baggy black pants and tied firmly to his waist. Lastly his legs were draped over the ledge, leaving his feet dangling in the usual fitted brown shinobi sandels.
The boy peered down off the edge and distributed his attention to two figures. One was a girl, and the other a man. Both looked roughly the same age as him[14-17], and they had their own characteristics! The man was large standing roughly six foot two at the least. Heavy weighted too! Almost two hundred pounds solid? This was one big kid lemme tell ya'!
A shaved head, but if his hair grew it would be a nappy brown. He had a darker skin tone, brownish towards the blacker side even. He wore a white T-shirt underneath his blue jean jacket. The T-shirt was tucked into his black jeans, but they were fastened together by his black belt. He had the ol' greaser look to 'em. This was his good friend, and squad member Royce Dunbai.
The other girl had beautiful skin, more a tannish white. It resembled that of a summer peach freshly picked. She had beautiful black hair that reached just passed her shoulders, and it meshed well with her unscathed face. A beautiful set of brown-eyes, plenty of freckles on her cheeks and an untouched smile. She wore a ninja sun-dress, which was tied to her waist with a long white sash. This dress was fitted with proper material however, and it was highly resistant to water and fire. None see through, and the dark red helped conceal additionally. Her name was Yurae Hiruyashi, and she was his second squad member. They were also Chuunin, and all had different teams when they were Genin. As time passed they found themselves together, working and training often. That was the case for today, and it was important. They weren't sporting their flak jackets(so it seemed) at the moment, but instead it was a day off. Patrols usually took place, but they worked in intervals. It had three factors. What team, when and how far. They were several teams so a rotation wheel affect generated the watching range of the village.
They were ten miles out of the gates, and usually this was a decent clearing for training. It was far enough to cause no harm but also for them to not experience danger. The blue-eyed Shinobi rocked himself off the edge, kicking his feet out and letting out one big shout. It echoed through the forest and the screams of his team mates were heard momentarily. They were cut off by the flooding water, consuming him and sucking him in deep to the sink hole. The brightness dimmed and only brushed across the water surface. It reflected most of that and hid the Uzumaki from his friends.

The boy released a few air bubbles from his mouth, his lungs were dense due to the pressure...

His eyes opened and then he caught it all. Fish swam close to him, the breeds were untracable and it wasn't his forte in the first place. It was still beautiful though. The underwater environment and all the small creatures flourishing in it. After a moment of taking it in, he swam to the top and burst his head from the surface.  A large gasp was heard following a male and females voice shouting. “You nimrod! Now I’m wet…!”
All he could do was float there, giggling away and this was the warriors of the village. It was training time though and they were gathered here with a purpose. The waterfall was known to attrach teams often, and usually build their endurance. The training exercise was also known to increase speed and strength. The idea was to sit with legs crossed and meditate under the current. After an hour, you will switch to standing and proceed to do so an hour. The idea is to maintain it for six hours ideally, but first starting two hours is usually the maximum.
“Sensei should see us now!” Royce let out in mid-training, they weren’t even ten minutes in. “Aye! Shh. We need to concentrate….” Daichi chimed in; reminding him. The woman remained silent as the current coasted over her bowed head. Her silky black bangs ran smoothly with the current. The water split just over the heads and necks of the shinobi, so they could breathe.
They began to go into their trance. They were pretty good at their timing, but usually one of them wore a watch for that sole purpose. A stop-watch specifically, and as soon as the hour hit….BbbbZZZZt! The buzzer went off startling not one of them, they were very calm at this point and were more than ready for the second hour. This stage was harder and required more patience. It was all endurance from this point out, but it’s benefits were incredible. The waterfall was perfect for the Chuunin, but Jounin were known to handle far more than this. In a sudden moment they all went to stand. Pushing themselves up and using one need as leverage to fully stand under the falling water.
“Hour two, let’s do this…” the whispered words were heard from Yurae. The soft words only could have left her soft pink lips. In no time it had been forty-five past. The time was flowing like the stream that fell on them. It was a proper formation, and their talents would show. It wouldn’t be long now before they could master this training, and do it for prolonged periods. Thus meaning over twelve hours, minimal eating and sleeping would prepare a Jounin for a difficult mission ahead. This was one of the beginning phases of a standardized training rather than an elitists cycle. But surely, they could have what it takes!
The next hour went smooth, and they switched once more; crossing their legs. They began meditating and made it to the third hour before they needed to remove themselves. They all walked along the waters surface, feint auras of blue chakra traced the soles of their feet. Their equipment, towels and lunch was out by the shore which was no more than fifteen feet away, perhaps a little more. Daichi plopped on the ground, letting out a loud sigh but muffled it with the blue towel he was drying his face with. Yurae was hunched over, rubbing her head vigorously with her purple towel. Soon going over her silky and curvy body. Royce on the other hand just sat on the ground with his towel draped over his shoulder; a cape. It was resting there was he was already eating; I guess he sun dries.

“Ahhhhhhhh……..” Royce was laying on his back, fairly dry now and letting out a big ol’ burp. Daichi and Yurae were in the same boat, both laying in the grass and looking at the gentle clouds. They weren’t as full as Royce though, they knew their limit. “You guys ever wonder what made all of this?” The Uzumaki chimed outloud and a stillness surrounded them; silence. It was but a moment of this peaceful quietness, and that’s when Royce spoke up. “Who knows. I believe it’s a God. I don’t know what though….” his voice was filled with certainty of his belief. It was carefree, and accepting.
Yurae on the other hand took longer to speak, perhaps she was just being polite for Royce. Perhaps she was thinking deeply on it, but we both recognized her answer forever. “I don’t believe in a god. I believe we are here to live on the surface, and die below it. We came from the planet and we’ll go back.” she was atheist as it got. If anything, she was more of a naturalist as we called it. A person who believed that the planet was what we called a God, and we were going to live by it’s laws; governed. “That seems so sad, and meaningless….” Daichi said outloud, rolling his eyes and continuing to watch the clouds. “Yeah, but it’s the truth. There ain’t a god….” her voice beckoned back for a reply, but Daichi didn’t bite. Instead, he spoke what he really felt; “There’s something great about all of this, I promise.”

They cut the discussion short, they obviously had their differences and had split ways for the night. They’d be meeting back up in the morning at eight O’ clock sharp, and see if they could push their training longer. Two meals were to be packed, and they’d need to stretch into the evening if possible. It was perfect and they’d finally be able to move on a higher level pace. Speed, endurance and strength. Their bodies were going to be pretty fit! They all were snug in their beds at their own apartments. They made enough money now to pay for rent, and could enjoy the luxury of independence. Hah, funny isn’t it? The worlds become a place where even the most basic of rights have become priced…
8 O’ Clock sharp aye? Where were they? Daichi stood at the top of the cliff gazing down at the ponds shore-line. No sign of his team, and it wasn’t like them to be late. “Eh. Who knows….I’ll give ‘em thirty or I’m going to fetch them.” he said tiredly, obviously he wasn’t too much of a morning person. The ninja was still practically wiping sleepies from his eyes.  It wasn’t long before a half hour passed by, and there was no sign. His expression told it all, and the sad story was named “Annoyance”. “Whatever man….I’ll go see where they are at…” the boy stood up, shuffling backwards and pivoted on his right heel. The Uzumaki twirled to turn around, and caught himself before he began walking. That’s when he heard it.
“Daichi!!!!!” it was feint, but that’s because the distance of the yell was pretty far? Quarter of a mile? Who knew. The direction was evident and so was who it was; Yurae.
‘Come on…come on….’ his mind echoed as his worries were amplified. The horrifying images casted through his imagination. The tree tops were swiftly rushing by as he hopped branch to branch. It was almost like he was the skipping stone, moving across the surfaces and pacing his way to a battlefield. A squad of three had intercepted their training area, and both his team mates had found themselves surrounded. Back to back Royce and Yurae were there. She was a Genjutsu specialist, along with a secondary of Ninjutsu. Royce was one of the best Raiton users he knew, but it wouldn’t suffice. The new location they were at was without water, and the river was in the opposite direction. That means the Uzumaki was at a hindrance and couldn’t use his full abilities without extra chakra.
The two shinobi protected themselves from swords, two kunai drawn and they were parrying away what they could.  Royce bellowed out and shouted with all his might Daichi’s name in the air, and little did he know…he was there. In the tree’s shadows he sat on the branch, creating a convoluted plan but soon understood what it’d take. ‘I need to act….react….focus….’ his mind was starting to grow clear. All the worried began to shutter away and he could finally act on the situation.
The boy leapt from the trees swiftly, diving inward and aiming to land besides his team mates. They caught glimpse of him at the same time, both showing a grin once they realized. The enemies were still and didn’t move. A large breath was held in his lungs, so just before he landed he timed it precisely. “STOMP” he shouted. His team mates knew he techniques, and obviously got the hint. In the right moment they formulated a great composition. As Daichi landed the chakra in his feet pulsated outward. Fuuton stimulation, and caused a moderately strong shockwave to cast out all around him. His team mates lunged forward with the current, and it proceeded passed them. It took the enemies off guard, and propelled his team mates so they could drive their kunai for the finishing kill.
Daichi had one shinobi locked in his sight, as he wasn’t easily caught off guard and skipped backwards quickly. Metal clashing was heard and so was a yelp. It seemed Royce’s blade connected into the chest of a woman shin obi. Yurae on the other hand was parried fairly easily, but it helped them spot the skillset of which ones. They quickly retreated back to back, but now with a triple side. Royce and Yurae were huffing heavily but Daichi was barely started. “How long was this going on…? Who are they?” Daichi began with his questions, very sincere and no sign of annoyance was found under his breath. “We aren’t sure. We got at the spot fifteen minutes early, and we were ambushed.” Royce replied heavily. You could tell he was exhausted, and so was Yurae. This was frightening and whoever they were….it was for blood.
The enemies circled wisely, and they were able to pair the skillsets properly. The one bleeding was weak in close range, the one that didn’t stifle was the leader. At least so Daichi predicted, he was obviously skilled at close-range at least…and was faster. The last of them was the one who parried the attack. They’d need to be separated so they can take out the weak link. A bird flew by, as Daichi’s eyes traced it and before he knew it everything went black like the bird. His sight was gone, and physically felt numb. It wasn’t long before echoes from the abyss were heard; ‘Daichiii! W-wake up…Daichii!!!’

“Wake up from what?” his what was thought verbal words were figments of his imagination. A trance even because soon they echoed back to him. A moments notice later the darkness was split open as his eyelids did. The curtain was unraveled, and Royce was knelt down besides Daichi left hand cover his left shoulder. It took a moment, but there it was…blood. “W-what happened?!” Royce pounced forward once more, parrying a sword from one enemy before the woman snuck in with a kick to his side. He shifted to his left, grinding his teeth and letting out a muffled grunt. Yurae didn’t have time to explain, but it was evident it had to of been a genjutsu. From who? In a moments notice Yurae collided with the thought-to-be leader. Quickly he disposed of her, countering her attacks and forcing her back. Yurae quickly formed a few seals, and he was under trance. She withdrew a kunai but the wounded woman tried to dismantle her tactic.
They were all on their toes, two versus two now and the thought to be leader was under a trance. Daichi reacted as quick as he could, his two team mates distracting them and rushing as he withdrew his Kunai. In a few moments he arrived near the target, but as he went to stab the enemy swayed to his side. It was almost like slow motion, but Daichi had been tricked. A firm knee rose upwards and collided with his stomach. All the air left his lungs, forcing paralyzation and releasing his grip. Both him and the weapon fell to the ground, but a bright light emerged across the grass. The glows of yellow tints were seen and he knew Royce was using all he could to protect him. Just as he knew the leader was distracted, he slapped his hands together and formed the seals needed: Ox, bird, boar and tiger. With one deep breath he exhaled various bubbles. They spread out wide and began to circle around the leader. The lightning bolt had just missed him as he swayed to his right. Closer to Daichi, and exactly where he wanted him. The bark of the tree behind him was instantly splintered, caved in and the bolt took a chunk from the base. It was burnt, crispy black.
The bubbles began to burst as the man shifted into the technique. The pops were harsh, leaving bruises and mimicked a very hard slap to the skin. Even with clothes it still proved to be painful and could leave plenty of welts. This stunned him momentarily and a yellow glow emerged again. Daichi stopped exhaling bubbles, rolling quickly to the right and using his leg/arm to shift himself up and into a stance. A new lightning bolt shot across the grass and the leader was stopped by a flinch. His hesitation caused his failure, and his death. The strike of lightning was loud, it crackled in a white-yellow flash and dissipated soon after. The bubbles burst in unison and helped the conductivity of the technique. He was fried, literally…and now it was apparently the shinobi was dead.
“NAGA!” the other male enemy shouted, his black mask covered his face but his brown eyes were more masculine. The woman remained quiet but she was frozen. Her blue-eyes seemed petrified, and even the Leaf team was shaken. They’ve never killed someone before and Daichi had a hand in it. What does that entail? Regardless, they knew it wasn’t the time to think. It was a moments notice on the choice they needed to make. The woman obviously wanted to run, and the male wanted to fight. They were feeling different emotions, but their duty was in front of them.

“WE NEED TO KEEP FIGHTING!” the male shouted to the girl, and her eyes went wide. “B-but he’s dead!” she replied. All the warriors froze momentarily, but the Leaf shinobi knew they needed to continue to survive. That’s when Royce’s and the males eyes locked. The enemy knew what they intended and quickly shouted; “Look out!” to his team mate. The woman shifted her gaze and Royce was releasing electric senbon from his finger tips by them. They traveled fairly fast, practically cutting through the air. She couldn’t avoid them all, and three found their way deep into her left arm. She was shocked momentarily but it didn’t immobolize her. Instead, it forced her to be real shaky, flinching a lot and her arm was completely useless. Her team mate was already by her side, forming the necessary seals to survival and holding his hand up to his mouth. His index and middle finger were raised up, arching to a circle and he was exhaling through it. A bright light emitted outwards and fire began to spew in their direction.
“Loo-” Yurae couldn’t get the words out, as they all dodged to the sides. They barely avoided the fireball, and Yurae’s right leg got caught in it. Easily feeling second degree burns primarily, and small areas with thirds. She shrieked from the fiery pain and it caught both Royce’s attention along with Daichi’s. However, Daichi immediately retained his attention to the enemies. The girl was crouched on the ground, having performed seals before wasn’t known but signs extended outwards. It was familiar to Daichi, easily seen as Fuuinjutsu but what type?
It wasn’t long before that answer was found out. Smoke emitted from under them and it grew to ten meters tall. It was something large, and obviously a summoning. Daichi didn’t have as much time as he thought. A large to tortoise was revealed as soon as the smoke cleared, but it didn’t hesitate. The two shinobi on the top of the bumpy shell stood firmly, chuckling and tending to a conversation. The giant turtle exhaled a large stream of water, spraying the field and trees. It dug up the dirt a few feet deep, and easily bent the trees out of the ground. They all managed to dodge it, but his two team mates were slowly. Both had been exhausted and badly hurt. Yurae was being supported by Royce, and it was time for Daichi to give support. The water could be used to his advantage, but he needed an opening. “Guys, let’s do this! We can win!” Daichi chanted with invigoration. He was motivated by the inner adrenaline, and his body pumped more by the second. His team mates weren’t nearly as confident as he was, but they stood in different shoes right now. It was his time to be the hero and make up the slack they couldn’t help but making. They were low on reserves, tired and hurt. They’d need to work in conjunction.
The beast extended it’s neck outward, quickly too and went to clamp it’s jaws on Daichi. It obviously wanted to take him out due to his loud mouth, the man caught a glimpse though. A leap backward into the trees helped him out, the turtle quickly changing it’s gaze to his team mates. The shinobi on the turtle moved from it’s shell , heading through the tree tops and moving toward Daichi. The other two were busy with the beast, but they could fair their own; hopefully…
“Housenka!” the unknown man chanted as fireballs streamed across the air. They met the tree Daichi was positioned in, but he swiveled through the tree top terrain. Leaping, hopping and jumping. Regardless what opportunity he thought he saw, he didn’t have time. A shout towards Daichi was heard; “Look out Daichi!” the turtle was seen exhaling a large ball of water that began tearing through the trees. The boy bounce from the branch, molding chakra to his feet and gluing them to the base of the large plant. Quickly he ran up the base, clearing a distance and leapt for his life. The enemies had pulled back on time with the summoning, and they were well synchronized. “WOOOOHOOOO!” his voice was heard atop the tree’s. He was high in the air and facing the turtle mid-air. ‘NOW’ his eyes were locked on the moment needed. It had to be precise though. ‘Come on…come on’ his rising heights were just about the end. The turtle was seen prepping to cough up another stream of water, but it’s power was judged earlier.
At the right moment, Daichi formulated the seals needed. His hands fluttered together, winding and unwinding precisely. Extending his hands he opened his palms to face forward at the incoming stream of water. Swiftly nearby water from the destruction weaved through the air, twirling into place and forming a large water sphere in front of him. A reversal of Ox, Rat was preformed to release a D-rank type object. Which was additionally half of the same technique. The conjunction technique was known as:  “Uzumaki Style; Enhanced Suiton Sphere Seal” the boy’s voice were heard muttering the technique as the two meter ball quickly almost doubled in size. It quickly wisped through the air, fast as forty-miles and even more. It quickly struck the stream, repelling it and sliding forth into the mouth of the beast. It was thrown backwards harshly, it’s neck forced inward and a loud disgusted noise was heard. The beast was out for the count obviously and even thought to be dead. It poofed in a huge cloud of smoke in that instant, and the boy landed into a large amount of water. That’s before he rose to the surface of the destruction, and peaked his head out to his two friends. The enemies were gone; retreated.
“Well…ain’t that some shit?” Royce chanted out to the swimming Daichi, and Yurae couldn’t help but giggle. She gritted her teeth at the pain, but Royce remained a rock. He always liked to act tough especially around Ol’ Yurae. It was time to report to the village and get some help.
A week later…
“Alright you three.” the voice from the formal Anbu member spoke. It seemed he was a higher-up, and followed the Anbu Captain closely. They obviously had other duties, but this man was obvious renown among his own.
“You found them exactly how far from our usual patrol routes?” the masked member inquired with a firm tone. “Ten miles, or so. They were fairly close to the walls, and we don’t understand how they didn’t get spotted.” they said in bits of pieces, but that’s what the Anbu Member collected.
“Any idea who they might have been?” the Anbu asked, and Yurae quickly blurted out the answer; anxiously. “We already told you we have no idea. If we knew, we would have said..!!” her voice was irritated, sharp and witted. The Anbu member even seemed a bit phased. That girl was one hell of a trip, and had the Will of Fire alright! Her mean face was a real one, it’d be a shame to play her in some poker! Haha! Daichi and Royce stood by her side waiting for the next onslaught of questions. But in that moment the Anbu thanked them, lifted off in a shushin and vanished from the scene.
“Well…how about that.” Daichi spoke sitting at the bedside of both Royce and Yurae. Yurae was closest to the window, and Royce had the second bed. The Uzumaki had been sitting on a wooden stool inbetween their beds. They were pretty healed up, but bed rest was essential. Both their wounds were pretty fixed up now, but third degree burns required surgery to replace tissue. Royce on the other hand had been stabbed, and bruised his bones. They both needed some time, obviously. Daichi was always with them, sticking it by and trying to make the best of it. It was in his mind though all the time…who were they, and why did they attack his friends…?
A month later…

The three had intercepted what was to believe a co-op. They weren’t found, but Anbu had discovered similar teams in locations. High activity on neighboring villages and outside organizations gave hint. The three Chuunin were back in action, and surely intent on figuring out this mystery. The idea was to infiltrate a camp, with stealth and quick results. There were various targets, one being a rouge from the Hidden Sand Village, another was one of their own. The two names were in order, and identified as: Mitsuo Kagema, and Jerashi “The Hound” Kudomaru. Why they called Jerashi the hound? Well his reports were read as so:

Identification Number: AU1278
Affiliation: Konoha-B ranking; Chuunin.
Name: Jerashi “The Hound” Kudomaru
Crime(s): Homicide; eight counts. Dishonorable Discharge, {Blanked out with black marker}
It detailed more about his past, and his special ability. Like the Inuzuka, they found themselves making kin with those of the night; wolves. It was unlike their latent ability, but his own summonings. After signing with the wolves of the village, they were told to protect the forests at night. Jerashi made a name for himself among the village,  and was a known betrayer of the city. Other details of his whereabouts, and further investigations strayed on. After the three shinobi scanned the page they placed it back onto the desk. They stood in front of a masked figure, but this time his outfit was much more broadened. It was obvious he was highly classed, and calling the shots; ANBU Captain aye?
The military was very broad, strict and critical when it came to it’s duties. It was a passionate cause and only sought to protect. Daichi was invested for the village, and his own personal agenda. It was nothing based on the accordance of the village, but his dream happened to work with it.
“Do you three agree? Are the terms understood?” the man spoke under the mask. You’d think it’d muffle his voice, but it was too deep to be burdened by a piece of wood. The three nodded, before they realized they needed to verbalize it; “Yes sir.” they all replied in unison. They had seventy-two hours to prepare, and it started the moment they agreed. They’d need to abandon many things to move for this cause, and these next days were critical. How should they spend it?
Hours later they were all gathered at the market place, ryo counted and a roped pouch hung from their waists. They knew they needed to get supplies for the road, and survival rations. The best place they knew was the Food Bazaar that gathered locals to one large tent in the middle of the cul-de-sac. There were roughly fifty stands big and small selling fresh food to ready to eat. Fish all the way to vegetables. It was beautiful but the best part was the prices. If you bought in bulk, which the three of them intended…they could eat for days. Royce’s eyes were lit up with joy, literally making a purchase suggestion every minute on the minute. It was annoying, but hilarious all at the same time.
