It’s still such a refreshing feeling.
The freedom that these people, the citizens of Kirigakure, have even though they’re surrounded by these tall walls. Even though they may be for their defense or natural disasters, it’s fair to say that it does indeed take some of their desired freedom away from them. Even so, walking through the city and passing many shops in the shopping district, he could see that the people here, at least the citizens, were genuinely happy. Many families come together to get something to eat, go shopping or seek for something else to entertain them with. The white haired boy mingled with the crowd, every now and then avoiding to bump into someone and change his direction at the last moment. He wasn’t really hungry, nor was he in the need for some shopping, but these distractions are just what he needs. There’s no point in hanging around by yourself and clinging to the past, but rather facing them and see the world for yourself. Every individual has their different traits that makes them unique in their own way. He has already learned that the world isn’t always the happy place that people want it to be first-hand. Passing a clothing store, he looked down at his clothing; the white-colored vest, the plain black shirt beneath it as well as his grey colored pants, black belt and black boots that covered up to his shin area. Thinking for a moment, still while walking, though shaking his head afterwards. There wasn’t a need for him to get new clothes. The Shinobi path that he’ll take, they’ll get dirty anyway. Buying new clothes now will probably mean he’ll buy new clothes every time they get worn out. He needs to get used to wearing the worn out clothing he’ll have from now on.
His white colored hair swayed from left to right as he moved through the crowds of people. Wanting to take a rest, he tried to spot a bench from where he was walking. Only a few meters further, there was one. No one was seated on it, so perfect for him to take his well-earned rest. Today has been a busy day for him, as all he has done was wandering around, desiring to meet new people, perhaps. His boots left a few prints of dirt as a trail, to show that he hasn’t been sitting still in a long time. Planting his rear on the bench, he immediately let out a sigh. From all that walking, he did get rather tired and had the feeling that he didn’t want to move anymore for a while as soon as he gave his legs and feet a rest. He stretched out, arching his back for a moment. Many people were talking, so the area was pretty loud. Not to mention that he was sitting in front of a store where people walked in and out of, apparently a food store. He didn’t really have the need to fill his stomach, but should someone walk up to him asking him if he’d like anything from the menu, who’s he to decline? From his memory, he still has enough in his wallet to get himself something to replenish his lost energy.
Shifting his eyes to his right, he eyed the tall wall that surrounded the city. Uncomfortable. That’s the word that immediately popped into his mind when he saw the thing that blocked his view. Rei himself has seen the world outside already, the moment that he escaped from that slavery camp. But what would someone’s thoughts be that hasn’t been outside of the village yet? An entire open world, unexplored. Not even a little bit of it seen. Actually, Rei could imagine that. For eleven years, he has grown up in an isolated place that wouldn’t even show them the sunlight; favorable for Rei since he dislikes the heat, though hates it because it took away his freedom. At that moment, he didn’t even have an idea what the open world looked like, yet he saw it with his very own eyes. And with his very strength he overcame the difficulties and broke his way out. Would that be possible for these people? The people of the other villages? Rei could only think and imagine the actions and consequences, but not execute the plans himself. Though, it was an interesting thought that crossed his thoughts for a moment, though far out of reach. His mind continued to wander.
