Mission description: A small team of Ninja are to assemble after a small group of ninja, consisting of one chuunin and two genin, have managed to steal some valuable tactical information and are attempting to elope to Amegakure using the information as bargaining chips for entry and promotion. The information stolen was in regards to defensive information including the rendezvous point the villagers are kept on the chance the village is attack. It is unknown if the ninja are to meet up with Ame informants so caution is advised.
Mission details: Beware you will be fighting against a chunnin and two genin from sand while at the same time four chunnin from Amegakure. Do your best and don’t get killed. Kill all seven of these ninja and bring the scrolls back to the Kazekage.
More killing, that’s what it kept coming down to, whether each death was justified or not, it was within the realm of his duties to accomplish. The only way he would receive the reward for the mission was to complete the mission as the dossier detailed and that meant the death of the chuunin and two genin who chose to defect from Sunagakure no Sato with valuable information scrolls. Their deaths would be more numbers on the ever growing list of kills he had conducted. While the sight of dead bodies and blood wasn’t traumatizing for Seiryū, nor was the fact he was the one killing, it never did settle right, but it had to be done one way or another; by Seiryū’s hands or another’s.
The first order of business was finding them and hunting them down. Killing them wouldn’t be too much of an issue, especially in the dead of night where it would take one arrow per person to at least cripple them enough that they wouldn’t be able to fight back. The chuunin may pose a slight problem, but the genin would be easily taken care of within minutes. His bow and arrow would make swift work of them, and from a decent range too that he wouldn’t need to worry about them using any sort of numbers advantage available to them. The last report the dossier informed Seiryū about regarding the three, now missing nin, was that they were headed towards the border Kaze no Kuni shared with the Rain country, their presumable destination being Amegakure no Sato. He needed to be wary, for he assumed they had prior contact with another shinobi village and that was their reasoning behind stealing these particular scrolls. He could worry about that when the time came, for now he just needed to hunt them down and kill them.
Seiryū’s knew he’d be able to outclass the three nuke-nin in any form of physical expertise, seeing as how the dossier did highlight bit about their skill level and achievements, and suffice to say, even the chuunin lacked an impressive resume. Their own lack of personal skills was likely a driving factor for stealing valuable information, something they could trade for sanctuary. Seiryū did not know their motives for leaving, nor could he assume them, but they didn’t matter when it came to his end goal for this mission; their death. That was what the village had demanded of him and that would be what he carried out.
Taking in a deep breath, feeling the wind press against his face as he ran against its direction, Seiryū moved swiftly across the cool, night desert sands. It was just one more advantageous stipulation for him, being able to pick them off one by one, once they were found. It was cruel to already plan out their death, but it was inevitable. They had already chosen their fate the moment they decided to steal valuable pieces of information from Sunagakure no Sato. Death wouldn’t have been in their future had they left without any thieving antics. Yet it was too late for them to change any minds, nor their own future. He’d make sure their deaths were at least swift. Seiryū couldn’t promise they would be painless.
