Samael

Samael

D-rank
He hated it when he got like this. This foul mood. It gave him... urges. Urges to be violent. Not that the blue devil was against being violent, but he'd rather have a reason to justify him being violent. While he didnt much care for other people, it never helped to go around attracting attention to himself by attacking randoms.

He had to work this energy off. Something, or else he was going to lose his damn mind. He needed some-- that was it. He knew the best way to work off this energy. It was simple. This energy came from withing, right? Then he would focus it, and turn its power back within.

Meditation.

But not just any kind of meditation; no, this had to be something... different. He would use this pent up energy to evolve in a sense, mentally and physically. But how? Isolation was needed – someplace where he would not be disturbed or interrupted. It would be then that the male remembered a small place on the outskirts of the village; a small copse of trees that would do nicely. The trek to the copse would not take long – it was a half a day's walk from the gates of the village.

When he arrived, the male would scope out the location for a moment. It seemed empty enough, and was well off the main travel and trade routes to the village. With what he was assured to be a remote location, the male would set about getting himself ready. A quick jump would place him on a branch within one of the trees; all the better to keep himself off the ground during his meditation. A bit of rope was produced and tied around his legs to keep him from falling out while his mind was elsewhere. He didn't know what would happen once he went into his mind and flung open the doors, but he wanted to be in one place with no chance of moving.

With his body properly secured to the branch, the male would close his eyes and open his mind to the universe; all he could see was fire.

Evolution was a fickle thing, both in timing and result. For the normal creature, evolution was something that happened over time, as a result of thier surroundings. For those of his mental persuasion, evolution came as a result of desire. The will to become sronger, the intent of becomng greater than what you once were. But there were limitations. For those of the normal variety, those whom were attuned to specific elements, they were limited to becoming more powerful within thier respective element. But for those like him.. a creature such as him? There were no singular elements. His power was constantly evolving thanks to the bit of Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki in his chakra, seeing as all chakra came from through him and the fruit of the tree. One could gain access to a multitude of powers in the time before they finally asended into thier final stages of life. and at that point... the chakra lines would be more powerful than ever.

But for him, these early stages of evolution were troublesome. He welcomed them normally -- it was the perfect chance to catch up on his sleep. And it had been quite a long time since he'd undergone his last evolution.

The first sensation that he could feel... gravity. He was hanging, and it was dark. He couldn't feel his body. Sleep paralysis was a bitch... As he stood -- er, hung there, memories came back to him. He'd climbed into a tree with the intent to meditate, and had fallen asleep hanging from it.

Ok. But he felt like something was on him. Something tight. Had something crawled across his skin in his slumber? Well, if something did, he'd done a shitty job of taking it off. The world felt constricted.. something he wasnt too happy with. He fanicied himself a dragon, a creature that craved freedom. He'd get it, sooner or later. For the moment, he just attempted to wiggle his extremities, attempting to force feeling back into them...

With a jerk of his body and several loud cracking sounds, he forced his mass to respond to his mental commands. Fingers flexed, cracking and releasing what felt like five years worth of muscule tension. Arms moved within the confined space, still cracking loudly with each flex. The great beast rolled his neck, releasing the pent up tension from there as well.

It took the beast a minute to realize there was something wrong. Despite him being able to finally feel his limbs, he still sould not move his legs or his arms. It would take him another minute to figure there was more. He could feel something wrapped around his legs, something that was thick-- something that wasnt there before. As for the cocoon...skin? Skin that felt like it wrapped around his body. With a shitton of difficulty, he was able to open the cloak that was wrapped around his body, stretching it out for the first time since he'd fallen asleep from in the tree.

Looking back over his body, eyes blinking and becoming adjusted to what felt like the first bit of light in five years, he came upon the reason why he could not move his legs. Curled tightly about them was a strange bit of vine... something else that he didnt remember having before his evolution either. Slowly, the beast willed it move with small bursts of chakra, uncurling it from his body.

He was tempted to cut it loose, but that would have meant letting go of the tree brance that his legs wrapped around at the moment. He still didnt like gravity enough for that. A clawed hand reached out, digging deep into the trunk of the tree as the beast pulled himself into the tree propperly. Fort he first time since he woke, he took a deep breath, and almost immediately became drunk off the scents of the world. Sand, the scent of a nearby animal, smoke, the grass, tree..

Wait, what? Smoke?! Fire?!

A quick glance around would reveal to the male that the small copse that he was currently occupying was currently on fucking fire.  How it happened, he wasnt sure, nor could he say for how long it had been burning. But either way, this could not be good. Without hesitating, the male would produce a knife from a hoster on his person and cut the rope that held him to the tree. Samae would leap from the tree to another, using them as a springboard to make his way out of the copse of trees. Once he would clear the the edge of the trees, he would hit the sands and look back at the blaze. While normally, he would attempt to go back to the village to warn people, this particular copse of trees was very much isolated from anything flamable; there was literally nothing but fucking sand for miles in one direction, and half a day's trek to the village in the other. This fire would burn itself out and not harm anything else, not even close.

Samael himself was unharmed, and nothing would tie him to this place save for the smell of smoke; that was something he could easily pass off as he personally possessed the ability to create flames. Not that he believed that someone would question him about what was happening out there. No, more than likely, by the time he reached the village, this fire would be nothing more than a smoldering ruin, and no one else would know.

With a snort and twirl, the male would turn away from the blaze, and begin walking back to Suna. As he went, he stopped to think, attempting to reflect back on what he'd discovered during his meditation. It was then, he realized that he could hear something coming from within himself, within his his mind. A soft voice, whispering from the corners of his conciousness. The male could not discern what it was saying exactly, but he chose to pay it no mind. That is, until he came upon the gates of Suna once more and heard it whisper into his ear clearly.

Look at all this life, oh bearer mine. There is so much left to burn...
