Laying outstretched against the base of a large tree, Kiritou found himself once again lost in thought. His eyes closed so he could picture visually what he was seeing in his mind. The thoughts of his parents, the father who abused him for years and the mother who abandoned him continued to haunt him for years. Hearing a rustle in a patch of bushes near him, he reacted quickly, grabbing a kunai from his pouch and tossing it directly where the sound had originated. When he went to investigate, he found he had pinned a squirrel to a tree by its tail, the kunai splitting clean through.

"Maybe I should stop being too jump and start being more focused.". He thought to himself as he carefully removed the kunai from the tree, freeing the squirrel. The wound the small animal had suffered was minimal and shouldn't hinder him in the slightest. As he returned the kunai to his pouch, he now retrieved from it a wrapped up rice ball he had purchased this morning. Deciding now was the right time to enjoy its taste, he decided to eat.

Unwrapping the rice ball, he took his first bite, savoring the meal to come. It didn't take him long to finish his small snack, and as he did so, he put the trash in his pocket. It wasn't that he was heavily against littering but still, there wasn't any reason to do it either. Returning to his relaxed position against the tree trunk, he once again closed his eyes, allowing his mind to wander and losing himself in his own thoughts.
