Kenji's meeting in Kirigakure was successful. He met with Ayakashi and discussed many things. Nothing definite concluded from their meeting, but it was a start... and Kenji was glad he got to see her again. Once the Sanin had went beyond the borders of Kirigakure, he had a detour to make before getting back to Kumogakure. Since he didin't have to escort a particular shinobi that was Kiri back to Kumo he had a little more time. The Chikara nin had worked with small villages on the outskirts of Kiri a few months ago, and he wanted to check on their status. Kenji's mission log was very diverse... and lengthy. Words could not explain the level of elation he had for being granted more domestic assignments.

The small Kiri town that was once being ravished by bandits was now thriving. Upon speaking with the locals they expressed their enduring gratitude. It was admitted that after he left, bandits persisted for a while, but with the knowledge and skill Kenji endowed them with, they were able to fend off the scarce bandit survivors and claim their town for good. It was a lively and fun town, so Kenji stayed for a few days to relax.

In the midst of enjoying himself he had forgotten about his needed presence at the Chuunin exams. He would likely be there on time, but as a high ranking shinobi they wanted him there early. He apologized for leaving in such haste and made his back to Kumo. Kafara was beginning to be assigned missions as well, so they didn't like that Kenji brought him along and he was called back early for security. The lightning fast ninja ran top speed, pushing his stamina to its fragile brink. He was not too far out from the borders of home now. Springing forward, using full strength so get back as quickly as possible. Adrenaline grabbed hold as he couldn't wait to report to the Kage and to witness the Chuunin exams to see how his village would compete.

There was a certain vibrancy to the city. It was bustling with an influx of people due to the grand event. A few Kumo Genin were participating, he would be cheering for them for sure. It was tough to decide who the favorite to win was, there were so many freakishly talented Genin from all over. What he was sure of though, is that the village would see the best of the best. Many implications were being constructed by Kenji due to the Chuunin exams being held here. It was great for publicity and recognition.

Kenji had to find the Raikage and receive his assignments and report to him the results of his meeting with the Mizukage. Kenji knew he was eager to hear how it went. Sanosuke had a spearheading and innovative vision for the village. He has so many things in the development, and an alliance with Kirigakure is a substantial part of his vision.
