At her question the dark haired boy only shook his head with a sigh, saying that he didn't know. She shouldn't have expected him to know, but it was a spur of the moment thing to ask. She sat up on the tree, dusting herself off as the boy suggested and explained a lot of things.
He suggested a plan if the giant koala did come back. She nodded her head intently, knowing that was a good idea. She wasn't much of a planner herself but since the boy was taking the initiative she decided to let him keep talking. It was rude to interrupt people anyway. He seemed nice enough, after all he did see through her plan of distracting the beast and had warned her of it when it first appeared. And he was also kind enough to say hello when she had said her first greeting. In conclusion, whether he be an opponent or not, he wasn't a bad guy.
Then he had to lock his dark eyes directly into her green ones. Saying that the two couldn't trust each other and adding that he would definitely take her scroll when he had the chance, whether or not it was the right scroll or not. She blinked a few times, a puzzled but at the same time understanding expression on her face. He was very direct, but he did have a point. This was a competition, an examination and neither he or she should have been so easily trusting of people, no competitors, they had just met. It did slightly dishearten her though, under different circumstances she would have liked to get to know this boy better. He appeared the same age as her, though she didn't see a forehead protector on him so she couldn't tell what village he was from.
He had paused to let his words sink in, then quickly continued, of course enforcing the fact that at the moment they needed to work together to take down this giant koala. Tsu blinked again... She had never thought that giant koalas would be so angry at anyone. She always thought that koalas were kind of lazy and just climbed trees and ate eucalyptus all day. This koala definitely wasn't like every other average koala.
And he was being kind of mean to be honest. The girl's thoughts were interuppted by a giant roar that made even the trees shake. And it made Tsu nearly jump out of her skin.
"Not trying to rush you but you should make up your mind pretty fast, because by the sound of it the thing will be back soon." The boy was looking around frantically trying to catch sight of the giant creature. Tsu nodded furiously with a
"Y-yeah!" She wasn't exactly sure what to say, but she believed she had just confirmed that she wanted to work together with him. He had said a lot of things and he was talking again which made it hard for her to follow everything being said, but overall he did seem concerned for both of their safety at the moment.
Another roar, and for the first time Tsu noticed something odd about the boy's eyes. They were emerald green with slit like pupils, special eyes? A... Doujutsu? Yes, that was what special eye jutsus were called. The boy before her had some kind of doujutsu, she wondered what he could see. And by that... It probably meant that he could see the giant koala that was after them. They were vulnerable out here, both he and Tsu realized it. It was coming in fast, and by then Tsu didn't need him to tell her. There was rustling in the trees around them, the beast seemed everywhere at once!
Are koalas really that good climbers? It was a thought the girl would have to save for another time.
Plan.. Plan! They needed a plan. Plans were always good in a time of crisis. Plans were something that Tsu wasn't particularly good at, she hoped the boy was. But unfortunately despite saying quite a few things, he didn't have one.
"Well I'm fresh out of ideas, what about you?" Before she could say anything more, another leaf shaking roar ripped through the air. Leaf shaking both in a literal sense and cause the Shinobi of the leaf to get a little shaky herself. Why was he asking her?! Did she look like the type to come up with plans? Well... She wasn't!
"Uh... I, uh..." She stuttered some more, still very much terrified about the whole situation. The boy didn't seem to be in any better condition. This wasn't good. Two kids about to killed by a giant koala bear? That definitely would be less than an expected outcome of the chunin exams. Well, maybe that was the point, to kill off the weak and have the strong ones fight it out.
But.. Tsu wasn't weak. She had changed from when she was a helpless little girl, that much she was sure of. Her stance grew a little more steady, she was finally getting herself ready.
"I'm a Senju. I-I can use Mokuton." She said it with shaky pride, both trying to calm herself down and trying to talk seriously to the boy besides her.
"If we can get him down to the ground, I can trap him in a wooden cell. He's gotta be injured from the tree already, so... H-He shouldn't be able to break free too easily..." In all honesty the girl wasn't entirely sure, but it was all she could think of at the moment. Surely the koala wouldn't fall for the same distractions twice, so it would be harder to get him back down to the ground. And if he did break free, they would just have to cross that bridge when they got to it.
"He has to be in my range though and on the ground. You should uh... Go back up in the trees, and lead him down to me. I'll support you part of the way." The greened hair Senju knelt down to the ground, digging her fingers into the dirt (technically turtle shell) beneath them both. Directly beside her two large vines sprouted from the ground, the two green stalks stretched out far moving with an animated aura. The girl's braid appeared to float around her, like snakes mirroring the movements of the vines.
"My reach is only 25 meters but I think that's all we need since he's... So close. And since I've activated the vines, I can't move very far from the spot, so he needs to come to me." Her eyes were racked with concern over her makeshift idea of a plan. Was it any good? Would the boy agree to it? And what of afterwards?
"If you get hurt, I know some medical ninjutsu so I can heal you a little!" She blurted out the statement without thinking. What was she to be concerned over someone who had already stated he didn't trust her? Trust was not the issue at the moment, they did need to work together, differences or goals put aside.
"M-My name is Tsuru Shokubutsusou." She blurted out an introduction.
"I know it's not a very good plan, I'm open to suggestions if you have any!" She was only able to get a few more words out before the growling ceased as an odd silence filled the forest air. Was the beast gone? No... Only worse, it turned to watching and waiting, keeping just out of sight, for the two to make their move.

Description: The User plants a number of specialized chakra seeds in the ground, using Vine Style a specialized variety of Mokuton, known as he is able to grow the vines he planted from the seeds. The number of vines correspond with the number of braids the user has. His braids become like puppetmasters of the vines. He animates them via chakra control and the vines mimic the movements of his hair. A user is not required to always use the exact number of vines for every one of his braids, for example if he has four braids he has the potential to use the Fourth Vine, but he allowed to Second Vine, using only two of his braids to control the vines. He cannot however control more vines than he has braids. The vines can act from whips to slash at opponents to ropes to bind them, or weapons to block and attack, similar to extended separate extremities of the user. During this time the user cannot move very far away from the area in which the vines were planted, and the extent of the vines reach is limited to user ability. When this jutsu is finished, the vines quickly wither away and the user is free to move about once more.
