Uchiha Tenzō
S-rank
Slumbering was the moon which barely clung upon that pitch-black sky, with only a few shimmering bright lights to keep company since it was forsaken by the earlier grey clouds which roamed upon the sky, their colors similar to ash. On this dank and eerie night, with the Chūnin Exams almost knocking against the front door, there was little time for the young and raven-haired man to train the whole squad individually and as a whole for the upcoming challenges that will most certainly act as milestones for these aspiring shinobi. Simple might have been the thought which lingered in the back of that head, but strong enough to forge a motivation that was capable of persuading Tenzō to dedicate the upcoming days towards the development and analysis of own squad; stagnation was clearly not an option, and improvement had to come, one way or the another. As such, the Uchiha found himself standing upon the edge of the border which separated uniformity and gawkiness; it was a dreadful and confusing place to find yourself standing on.
The persona which swung like a cradle from a side to another was now leaning on one side and forced to act even at the most ungodly hours of the day; or perhaps, the reason which dwelt beneath was entirely different than what it seemed. Nonetheless, this particular time of the day was going to be dedicated towards one of the students that that was still considered nothing more than a mystery beneath those ebony eyes, and there was nothing more terrifying than the unknown. Uzumaki Manami, a calm and young lady which left behind that impression while she was kept as hostage within the simulation that was performed on the journey towards the Land of Lightning. With an almost tranquil state the Uzumaki managed to held her ground, and that was not really the action which brought up the question within the Uchiha’s mind.
After being released from the hostage position, Manami chose not to express anger or any kind salty emotions against the fact that the Uchiha used the young lady as a hostage; as a result, the raven-haired man tried to make those emotions arose by bringing up the subject once more towards the Uzumaki, right after she picked up the key for her own room. Becoming stronger can be achieved through hard work, but the real potential towards a an alarming growth rate can be a unlocked once a person finds something worth fighting for; that something which can push the body beyond its limits. Of course, there are other ways as well, fear is known to be quite necessary for evolution, and Tenzō become quite aware of this fact while working under the Orochi Lady. Unlike the young woman, the jōnin had a different approach when it came towards training someone, as such, instead of using a toll such as fear the man would prefer to find out the weaknesses in order to cover them up or to search hard enough in order to locate the potential that lurks within his own students.
As the final preparations were already being made once the dagger was strapped behind the spine, the young Uchiha gazed against his own reflection within the mirror with that pair of ebony eyes just so that he may notice that the number of silver hair strands had grown and the barely visible spots did not seem to stop from extending either. “This... is getting worse.” the man mumbled with on a slightly irritated tone whilst those eyes narrowed and moved away from the mirror, leaving the bathroom behind with a couple of rattling footsteps which relocated the man outside and on the hallway. The atmosphere which resonated on this corridor felt a bit uneasy, although it did not stop Tenzō from heading over towards the a certain door which the man gave a couple of knocks, ones that were thrown on a rhythmic beat and not too harsh to startle the person within. “Uzumaki Manami? It’s your sensei, Uchiha Tenzō and I have arrived for our discussion.” were the words which came out on a gentle tone right after those knocks had ended, and without adding anything more, the man awaited for an answer.
Unlike Shinako, which actually was quite a mystery, the Uchiha had very little knowledge regarding the past and present of his own students, and information was really valuable if there was going to be made any kind of progress as a squad. Both, Shinako and Joruri were going to participate in the upcoming event that was being held within Kumogakure; however, Uzumaki Manami decided to not join the other two, and the motive which stood behind this decision was also unknown for the young man. The first impression would most likely suggest that she probably considered herself not being ready, but maybe, the reason which she chose not to join might have been something entirely different. As such, this particular night was going to be spent in order to find out the true reason for which the young lady decided not to join the other two, and perhaps, a few more things could be learned about Manami.
As a shinobi, Uchiha Tenzō was still young and there was no doubt that the man had a lot of room to improve, and knowledge was just lingering at every corner; indeed, this particular person might even have a few things to learn from his own students. The sensei was not arrogant enough to ignore their words, on the contrary, the young man paid a majestic amount of attention during conversations which could be viewed highly beneath those ebony eyes. And almost everyone that were capable of explaining and not just simply state their own point of view were capable of grasping the young man’s attention. This particular ANBU is not really the type of person who fishes for information without really forming out a plan within that head of his, and there was no doubt that Tenzō had already considered taken in consideration a few scenarios.

Was she truly emotionless, or was the young lady hiding something beneath a beautiful smile?
