Clan History: A clan of weather tested shinobi that have roamed the ninja world and survived not only its volatile nature, but it’s harshest elements as well. These ninja have adapted over generations to physically withstand the trials of nature itself. The Tsumura clan was originally founded in Sunagakure, stemming back to a small group of early ninja mercenaries that traversed the ancient lands through desert, mountain, wind valleys, and oceans to find hire. Their reputation grew over the years, being recognized as a meandering assembly of sell swords that could be found seasonally in different parts of the world. Many strategies of battle and war throughout the ages have been timed in line with their traditional circuit of travel in hopes to usurp a militaristic advantage with the proper coin incentive a Tsumura never refused.

Although worth their weight in gold with combat prowess alone, what separated the Tsumura’s in history was their ability to overcome enemy terrain and unyieldingly press forward through elemental jutsu with an endurance worthy of its own lore. In modern day, the Tsumura traditions have all been virtually lost, and their nomadic ways cast aside after decades of familiarity. Their surviving lineage is hard to discern as the Tsumura clan name is not absolute as it consisted of various houses throughout its time of organization. It is fact however that the last generation of traditional Tsumura disbanded to settle into stable lives in various parts of the ninja world, and while the clan has no defining features or identifiers, their amazing endurance to the elements still remain unto them as a common link.

The first advantage of this clan is denied. Plenty of jutsu can do this many times over to you; it's a physiological impossibility to be immune to it, I'm afraid.

Why are they resistant to all elemental jutsu? The one they specialize in, I can understand. (One might consider as a drawback, taking more damage from the same element that the one they specialize in is weak against. This is if the resist-all-elements has a reason to stay.)

The reasoning behind their resistance to the elements was something I described in the clan history. It is a result of generations of adaptation to the physical elements during the clans time as a nomadic group that circuited the ninja world many times over. Plus, given their initial shinobi background, the resistance therein would be applied in combat towards jutsu that would appropriate the given natures they had routinely been exposed to and built a natural resistance towards.

Not quite what I had in mind for a drawback but thank you for the suggestion.

-Bumped up the nature drawback from one element to up to two

-Added Stamina as a required characteristic under drawbacks

"Must take X positive Special Characteristic" is not a drawback.

In addition, if you are forcing a negative Special Characteristic, it cannot be balanced by a positive SC.

I think that the elemental weakness (appropriate to which element you take) is necessary here, in order to balance your resistances. A -1 is a lot of damage just automatically gone, not even to speak of -2.

The flavor of a natural resistance to the elements was what I was hoping for, but it does not seem to fit into your system the way I thought it would. Your suggestion for balancing it with the appropriate elemental weaknesses is fair but it moves away entirely from I was aiming for. So with respect, I will just take the clan as a denial.
