SO IT BEGAN
Duel against Kenjutsu masters

The sound of the howling night sky echoed in the ears of those who had crossed paths in the cemetery. This had made him, the mysterious individual, chuckled a bit as little kids would get scared of the eerie sound and run in terror and fright. It made him laugh on the inside. Today was somewhat like Halloween with the eerie mist-like fog that had diminish few's vision if they dare come to the cemetary. Or... maybe that wasn't a regular fog at all. Maybe it was just the mysterious person's acid-like chakra forming as a mist shrouding the cemetery to where he was located. The old cathedral was where he resided in for the time being while here in Konohagakure. Well, old and abandoned was what he called it. Seems like a more decent place to be alone in, especially for a missing-ninja with a considerable bounty on his head and at a very high rank. It was good that the people did not know what he looked like now then he did before. The dramatic change from that face doctor, whatever the hell his name was, paid off, yet keeping a low profile over the years also. He sat on the very top floor, a floor below the roof, of the really tall 3 to 4 story cathedral. Why in the hell would a cathedral be this god damn tall? Hearing multiple footsteps had caused him no worries as those come and go. Good thing that they did not come to his direction. It was pitch black in the sky with no clouds as the night was still young, but still early for the corrosive king himself to commit any notorious or small crimes. He wondered upon what different variations of his clan's advance element would work with his prowess. Only time will tell.

He wanted to make the essence of his clan's advanced element, their kekkei genkai Boil Release, strong enough for it to be unstoppable in a way. Propulsion is a definite means of Steam, the act of driving or pushing forward, as a means of increasing the speed and power of a taijutsu attack, which in case the mysterious is somewhat proficient in. The steam can also be spread instantly from the body to burn or melt their surroundings due to its high temperature, as to which the male would need armor for in a way. One of the more prominent usage of his kekkei genkai would be corrosive, or acid that eats away, dealing consistent damage if one gets trapped in the acetic acid mist or knocked back into it, causing irritation to the eyes and nose, and if it goes inside, causing irritation to the throat and the entire body itself. He knew of the corrosive state and implemented all of his clan techniques into the corrosive state, but never the steam state. He should research that more often on his spare time. Having control of the range and level of the vapor's acidity, most techniques would be very wise to use. He had to remember that his kekkei genkai had two points: melting point and boiling point.

His research had made his brain hurt a little bit, dealing with the acidity of his own techniques in a way, even creating a jutsu that had made him into a humanoid gel that melts on contact. Even that jutsu might even give him a small variation as to where he could move around freely while in that state. He wanted his jutsu to be a major problem to those around him, so enough research could help out in a way. But, in a way, Boil Release, in his research, can also produce liquids that melt as well if the level of the acidity is at melting point. That was something he would have to research in further, being that Wind Release is the clan's weakness. All of this he could have thought of in years.

"Melting point and Boiling point..."

There was something about those two points that had the male in his thinking state while sitting in the abandoned cathedral, looking at the sky on the open roof. All of his jutsu were corrosive dealing with gas at a mere melting point, and even some at boiling point. Why was his clan kekkei genkai so difficult, he does not even know. Even amplifying his taijutsu prowess, especially in his Tae Kwan Do, would need an armor of that nature to increase his power and speed. He had to do more research, for even this much information should not get into the wrong hands, let alone see if any other Osada clan members are still around.

Still, he sat in the cathedral, watching the sky, hearing footsteps and laughter of kids, not even giving a care for the world. This was all peace and quiet on his end, so it did not matter to him at this point.

Rippa

D-rank
Rippa had spent weeks searching for a location that was off the beaten path and could serve as a hidden base of operations for him. However he couldn't just choose a cabin in the woods somewhere, His tastes were far to grand for that and besides that he needed to be able to train there. A log cabin would be unable to stand against most of his jutsu. Stone was something sturdy enough to hold up against even the harshest of his training. Some may have chosen to locate a cave but again that seemed below Rippa's standards. He was just too picky for his own good. Still he had seen the cathedral for sale as a child, yet no one had wanted to buy an old church. Something about not being able to do anything with it. Rippa however wanted it for its symbolism. So he had filtered funds from his position as clan head, they were his to do with as he saw fit but for the moment he needed to keep such things private from his uncle. Until that man was dealt with his dealings would remain cloak and dagger. Still he had obtained the funds and purchased the building as a sword saints location. Leaving his name from being directly linked to it.

Still it was well passed the hours of people visiting the place when a roar of an engine could be heard drawing ever closer to the cathedral. The wheels tore at the cart path leading up to the place as his head light flared out lighting the way. His white, shoulder length hair seemed to flow back from the breeze as did his silver angel wing necklace. His blue eyes piercing the night ahead as he dragged the accelerator to go faster. The dark grey bike hurled forward with a roar as it responded. His blue jean clad legs clung to its sides like a horse as his steel boot covered feet shifted up a level to ease the roar of the motor from the red line. His top was covered in a black tank top as well as a red long coat labeled sword saint captain with a konoha headband stitched into each shoulder. On either Hip was a strange katana and 8 prayers lined his belt in the front. Both cain and Abel were pre-loaded as always. Still his fingerless gloved hands adjusted as he hit a thin fog bank to lay into the brake. With a grinding of tires noise the bike slid sideways to a stop sending gravel flying. He had arrived.

Rippa kicked out the kick stand for his bike and reached into the saddlebag of the beast. Quietly he pulled out his medical scroll and slipped it into his coat pocket while he sat there looking around him. The fog was odd to him but not impossible. He reasoned that it was some strange act of weather he had never bothered to study. Either way he rose off his bike and planted his boots on the ground. Running his right hand back through his white hair he let out a sigh. His gaze rising up the cathedrals appearance. It almost looked haunted in the night, Still he shrugged it off with a tch noise as he clicked his tongue against his teeth. It didn't matter what was in there if anything. Rippa was confident enough in his skills to consider himself a challenge for whatever might await him. Supernatural or no he didn't fear bed time stories. After all why should the boogeyman fear ghosts? He smirked a little at that before his foot steps carried him across the gravel. Idly he pressed both hands on the double doors, with a heave he pushed them inwards. Letting them swing wide as he stepped in. A breeze from outside carried a couple of leafs in before the doors closed only to let them settle on some old pews. Either way that wasn't what attracted his attention. His blue eyes fell on the three chairs at the head of the church. Something reserved for the heads likely. The one in the center still looked intact with its dusty red cushions and iron frame. With yet another smirk Rippa walked along the center aisle to the chair before turning and planting himself sideways in it. His legs dangling over one side and his shoulders over the other. It didn't look comfortable but still he let his arms drift down to hang down over the arm of the chair with his fingertips brushing the cold stone ground. His blue eyes cast towards the painted roof as he studied it. Bored tones emerged from his mouth as he spoke to himself.

"jeeze, I really don't feel like cleaning the place myself. You think they would of sold it clean had it been a private investor instead of me? Maybe I should of demanded it...."

He had found the inevitable to be possible, only utilizing the concept of one Advanced Element and making it into another, seeing as though one is vapor and one is corrosive, although vapor is corrosive as well if used correctly. How it was going to be manifested, the individual had little to no idea in the slightest. He would conduct further research when he leaves this village. He had felt a chakra signature approaching the premises  of the abandoned building as a small sigh had left his lips. He did not want to check it out and see who the person was, but the roaring sound of what it had seemed to be a motorcycle engine, had caught his attention entirely. All the while hearing footsteps and the entrance door to the cathedral closed as well. The mysterious individual had risen from his spot and swiftly jumped downward to the ground and landed next to the entrance of the cathedral and opened the door, silently walking along the center aisle onto finding a seat for himself to sit in.

His hood hid his face from sight as he hummed a melodic yet quiet tune for only his ears to hear as the tune had stopped in silence. He heard the man talking before while he was outside the cathedral in a more so lazy tone of voice, only to make a sigh come out the individual's mouth. He was somewhat lazy and tired himself, as now he had gotten bored of the village as a whole. After his conversation with the Kunoichi, he had wanted to learn more secrets of the village. The individual wore his usual attire, but on top of his attire was but a mere cloak, black in color, with a hood attached to the cloak as the hood hid the man's face. The cathedral on the inside was dark with little candle light, counting 10 on each side and 30 up front, lit up as the moon light beamed down on the alter. The male's three swords were on his display, one rapier on each side with Naiya, his more personal sword, on his left side. He did find some more interesting swords while in Konohagakure, so he might take a visit to the weaponsmith and see what the villager had to offer.

"jeeze, I really don't feel like cleaning the place myself. You think they would of sold it clean had it been a private investor instead of me? Maybe I should of demanded it...."

One thing was right about the male individual while in this place: it was worn out, old, and dirty at that. But the perfect hiding place when coming to Konohagakure if you are of a high rank criminal status. The eerie feeling, the hiding location, the unknown presence, the fog and whatnot. Who would not at least make an underground base under here? He would at least, if he cared to and even wanted to try to.

"Just leave the place as it is. No use cleaning it when one is trying to mold it into something rather simple..."

As the man spoke the reaction from Rippa was quick as could be. In a flurry of movement without even sitting up his right hand rose from where it dragged along the ground and slammed up to the hilt of Abel, the gunsword on his right hip. In a flash Rippa sat up as his katana was drawn and leveled at the stranger. The barrel of it pointed center mass as blue eyes observed the man. Hooded so that his face wasn't visible it was a dark as the candles flickered around them. Their dim light seeming to define the tension in the room. If anything it was obvious the individual across from him was armed. Still how he had managed to get so close unnoticed made Rippa uneasy. They were still several meters apart. Probably about five meters if he had to make a guess. Still it was close enough that he could clearly see the man was armed. Hooded in a darkened cathedral with only candles between them and armed to the teeth was normally not a good sign. He had seen his share of assassins but this one could very well be different. He was cautious for the moment about the man.

When he spoke he it was calm but the echo of the hammer being pulled back on his gunblade seemed to reverberate through out the area. The hammer having been pulled back at the end of his sentence. "I'm sorry. I don't think we have been properly introduced." The length of the sword was average but the build was impressive and the way the barrel was attached to it seemed to keep it inherently straight in a way that wouldn't block or alter the path of the projectile. His left hand went down and rested on Cain as he watched the man carefully. If there was truly an assassin after him here then someone was a genius when it came to predicting his movements or his purchases were being watched far more carefully then he had been aware of. If he was being tracked so effectively then it would be no wonder that the man before him looked entirely too prepared to face off against Rippa. Still once more Rippa spoke up towards the dark individual across from him with the barrel aimed at the center of his chest. Gloved hands tightened on the hilt as just a tiny amount of pressure was increased on the trigger.

"Perhaps I should start. In case you don't know where you are and how much of a crap hole this can turn into if this gets unpleasant. I am Captain Chi Rippa of the Konoha Sword saints. One of the best swordsmen in the country by the few accounts of anyone paying attention. If you have hostilities planned in my new chapel, its only fair that you know that much." Part of that was a small bluff. He wasn't sure how he ranked as one of the best swordsmen in the country. Still if he was going to try and get out of a fight by making it seem like it wasn't worth it then maybe that would dissuade the mystery individual from making any type of attempt against him. If not then his claim would be put to the test and he was ready to pull the trigger.

Situation
You find yourself held at crossbow/katana point

He sighed, his odd eyes had view of the man's swift movements slightly, assuring that his confusing weapon was in position, and was now holding it on his chest. Apparently him walking into the cathedral had startled the man, which a slight chuckle would by heard by the individual as he thought that it was somewhat amusing, even though the man had not heard the individual's footsteps in the slightest. His eyes had laid its vision on the weapon. It was a weapon of very fine craftsmanship, and the design of the weapon was beyond comprehension, truly something that even the individual had not witnessed for years in his lifetime. As the hood had covered his face, his odd eyes were unseen by the other male, but had visual of the strange weapon pressed on him. He dared himself not to make eye contact with the man, but a small shift of gaze with his eyes to the man's appearance as the man's eyes were struct with somewhat of a mixture of fear and boldness. If anything, the man himself was of a good match for the individual to test his skill on. Candles flickered in the cathedral. Parts of the first floor began to darken with least of the candles out of flames. A blink of both eyes (odd yet exotic; black sclera and red pupils as dots forming a grid); calm breathing to keep his composure. A swift movement of Naiya and then pointing Bento had came into his mind, but gaining distance was the least of his worries as of right now.

~This boy is fast, but he is slow when it comes to sense of hear and surroundings...~ His mind and words were of the same without a speak of his tongue.

His thoughts were calculating thoroughly; formulating different tactics and assault plans, or maybe different ways to get out of this situation. Naiya, Bento, and Kano were resting in their sheaths like good little swords, hoping to come out of their shell and wreck havoc on something or someone. Rested on top of each other horizontally, Bento and Kano were positioned different by the way that the man had turned his  body when the barrel was pressed on him, it had made him sit on the edge of his seat. He positioned his right leg to be in front so that he could hold his balance and not fall, while still keeping his eyes on the man's eyes in the process. Even though he made sure that the man could not see his face, under that hood, his eyes had made way to the man as his looks had a piercing feeling to them when he did look. He had motioned his hands in front of his abdomen as the sleeves overlapped his arms and hands so that no one can see them. With a slight pressure against them, his hands had made a cracking sound that was loud enough for the man to hear the sound. He had done so at least seven times with one hand and had continued the same process again as he felt his hands now relaxed of tension and unease. His eyes had motioned back to the barrel of what it had appeared to be was a crossbow into a katana-like formation type of weapon. His eyes studied the weapon and the outline of the weapon as he sighed another sigh by breathing with his nose and not with his mouth, making no sound that time.

In any case, this was going to be a tough situation to get out of.

Detail
You see the gun aiming towards your chest

A look at the barrel and of the sword one more time; the man had no idea how to get out of this one.

This was one of the things that he did not like. After he had spoken, the man had spoken back as well, and when he had finished his little saying, he had heard the sound like a minor explosion.

“I'm sorry. I don't think we have been properly introduced.” After the man had finished talking, the hooded individual  had heard the echo of what it had appeared to be a loud banging sound of a powerful impact through the area, to which in his surprise was the same weapon that was pointed against him. So there was some-- no, a lot of mechanisms, twists and turns when it come to this weapon to make such a powerful sound. Keeping his eyes on the weapon, the length of the sword had resembled similar to a katana, least a nodachi, but the build of structure of the weapon was what gave away the unfamiliarity of appearance, and maybe of power, along wit the barrel attached to the top of each blade to give it that long range apparel, and the look of  diversity as well. Going back to what the man had said. The man did not know that there had needed to be any proper introductions when one was being held at damn near gun point. It just was not professional to him. Of course a lot of people are different in there, so maybe this was probably his way of saying “Allow me to introduce myself. My name is...” And so on and so on. He had thought that it was supposed to be some kind of sarcastic remark or maybe a jokingly phrase after it, but there was none. His tone of voice was more so serious, but tried to be a bit comical even when pointing a crossbow/katana onto someone's chest.

Yet the man did not know that the hooded individual had good ears and had heard the movement of what it had appeared to be heard was arm movement, the  sound of sleeve and arm rubbing towards each other and even so the sound of  tightening a firm grip and yet almost a click by the trigger with pressure. The sounds were not definite by perfection, as though some movements of the other male were as quiet as a mouse (not quieter then Jurou from earlier), but some sounds were heard. He could not make of the rest in that manner. The man had opened his mouth and began to speak once more. Jurou's eyes slowly moved upward, his head slowly did the same, still keeping his face hidden from the other male. He would hear out the man before making any other sudden movement as to what he wanted to do. His eyes were dull and calculated, callous and cold with a hint of laziness and annoyance. Just exactly how long was he going to stay like this, he had asked himself on the inside. The layout of the cathedral was very spacious and wide, the roof top had to be at least over ten feet in length, probabilities high enough and the distance between foes was even greater. X amount of meters wide and maybe the man might even cast a Hidden Mist or maybe even a Skilled Mist Technique if he had so choose to. Now it was time to hear the man speak once more before he had anything to say himself while being “held captive”.

Complication
You are thirsty and feel very tired

"Perhaps I should start. In case you don't know where you are and how much of a crap hole this can turn into if this gets unpleasant. I am Captain Chi Rippa of the Konoha Sword saints. One of the best swordsmen in the country by the few accounts of anyone paying attention. If you have hostilities planned in my new chapel, its only fair that you know that much."

All he heard from the man was Blah Blah Captain Chi Rippa of Konoha Sword sants, blah blah best swordsman in the country blah blah, new chapel, and blah blah. On a more serious note, this man, Chi Rippā, is captain of the so called “Sword Saints” of Konohagakure. How cute. Konohagakure has their little group as well. Where do people even come up with the ideas and names of these groups anyway? It was beneficial back in Kirigakure to where it was widely known for the Seven Swordsman of the Mist, but that was a more rebellious group that wanted to do their own things and kill those as they please, to why Kirigakure was called the “Bloody Mist” village. Now, Konohagakure has the Sword Saints and by the gods Jurou was graceful to step foot with the captain of the bunch. Now that had fully explained the red coat with the confusing kanji symbol and even the weapon at his hand. They were all embedded with special titles of his rank, and he was proud of it. To which it had sicken Jurou in the slightest. Another breathing sigh from the nose of the hooded individual. It was rather getting quite hot in the cathedral, to which the heat had sometimes made Jurou quite thirsty and even tired. His eyes darted around the cathedral, but in no hope or luck to find anything to drink in this damn building. What a drag.

Speaking of building, didn't that captain guy say that this was his new chapel? Since when? He had to remember back to when he had first saw the male in the motorcycle and had realized that the male on the motorcycle was him all along. So he had paid for the property of the cathedral and had wanted to do something with it. And this was going to be a good hiding place for the male while he was here in Konoha for the time being. It beats sleeping at that abandoned building a few districts from here. He was already tired because it was predominately night time outside and that he was hot because of no air conditioning in this cathedral, all the while this captain still having his crossbow pointed at the man still.

"...Chi Rippā. Captain of the Sword Saints in this lively village..." His voice was a bit raspy in tone and quiet in volume, yet the raspiness increased it a little. His distinctive deep voice was something that was with him for ten to fifteen years now, carrying off a weight of sadness and non-loyalty as well, but it did not matter to him at this point. He was still hoping for something to drink, as his throat being dry and parched was one of the reasons why he sounded the way he sounded. His eyes had grown heavy with lack of sleep, as his body was still alive and well. His eyes darted off, but being on the alert had them open for as long as he wanted them to now. His hands had fallen asleep on him, both of them in that manner. A slight twitch and movement and the funny feeling was slowly going away from him now. His jagged teeth was sharp at point as he made a death toning moaning sound. It was time to get this damn barrel off of him.

Objective
You feel threatened: defend yourself

His eyes had looked at the weapon again, seeing an arm stretched out when pointing the crossbow-like katana. It had seemed as if the male had readied his finger on the trigger. Pulling it would be fatal, but even strategic-like ninjutsu users had ways of getting out of situations. He couldn't just disappear and reappear while covering his tracks with water, that would be too naive and easy for him. The barrel was pressed on his chest as the trigger finger was minutes away from pulling. If anything, Jurou had feel threatened a little, and even a little was still enough for him to make a move. His fingers twitched while inside of his sleeves, his muscles telling him something, itching for him to make a move. He closed his eyes, trying to visual ways to get out of this situation. Slightly, he opened them. A small smirk was seen on his lips. The Sword Captain would have to show Jurou how he earned that title instead of just boasting and the items to prove it. All and all, he could be lying, and probably everyone in this world hates liars.  He was trying not to fight, but the other male had provoked the male to draw his blades and take action. He was trying to keep peace and quiet while in the cathedral, but that was totally out of the question at this point. He had made up his mind finally. He knew what he should do. All that took was just a single movement and to keep distance from the barrel and the blade. If the battle was to be initiated, he would at least try and not to throw attacks and see how the person fights and what his strengths and weaknesses are. There was only one simple way of getting out of this situation: Get away from that barrel. Now!

~I wasted enough time. You provoked me... now I'll test your boast.~ His thoughts exactly. A swift sway to elude from the barrel to his right, he had quickly drawn Kano, whose sheath was located on top of Bento's, with his left hand. Positioning the sword in a reverse-hand grip, he lifted the butt of the handle upward in a vertical line. With enough strength, he forced the butt of the handle to make contact with the blade of the katana, parrying the assault. If the parry had hit, the male's katana would be pointed upward, knocking the barrel away from Jurou's chest and keeping him out of harm's way for now. If the parry was successful, Jurou would keep his distance by lifting himself upward with his right arm on the seat and did an aerial flip in the air by twisting his body to the right and leaping away from the male to gain distance.

If the parry was not successful but still hit, Jurou would draw Bento in the process. He would then position both swords in a normal hand grip with both hands and kick the seat and to lift him in the air. Aiming downward with both swords, he positioned them in an “X” formation, pushing down the barrel and propelling himself upward, leaping away to gain distance from the man and his weapon. Either if it was successful or not, Jurou would still get some distance away from the individual. A formidable plan of escape with no one getting hurt. Good thinking by the pacifist himself in the slightest.

When he had gained his distance, he would sheathe both of his rapiers and only draw out Naiya for right now, seeing as though he did not need both of his rapiers in this battle for it has yet to start.

"You claim yourself as one of the best swordsman in the country, alas that's a pretty bold statement..." His deep tone of voice was raspy again aside from the thirst that he still did not get yet, "...let's put that statement to the test; shall we..?"

Rippa

D-rank
The man had allowed him to speak a moment before he himself had acted. For but a moment Rippa thought the boast would be enough to prevent a fight between him and the stranger. After all the rate of assassins after him had dropped dramatically. It could be that the quality of meat sent against him hadn't proven high enough for too long. Not many were willing to continue throwing themselves into a flame knowing that every man or woman before them had been burned to no avail. Still that did nothing to suggest that a higher caliber of sword for hire didn't exist. It was either that or the all too common fool out to make a penny at the risk of his own life. At first Rippa had been sparing their lives with little to no injury. If any died it was due to the others who had accompanied him at the time. Upon returning to Konoha though he had filled more then one body bag. An example set to any others looking to profit from a spout against him. This hooded figure spoke of Konoha like an outsider. Instead of making any suggestion of it as a home he spoke of it as simply a lively village. Something about it suggested he wasn't local. Perhaps one of the surrounding smaller villages, maybe even one of the other nations. Only time would tell.

Still the sudden and fast movements were alarming at how sudden they were. For a second Rippa hesitated to pull the trigger not wishing to kill a stranger and in that second the stranger had moved away from the end of the barrel and drawn his own blade. By the time Rippa caught on the blade had been drawn. Rippa managed to tighten his grip at the same moment the parry clashed against his own sword. The man was alarmingly fast but somehow Rippa felt little resistance in the force of the connection. All that speed and all that it had managed is to force the barrel from being able to aim properly. Still another flash of movement caught his attention as light reflected on a second steel being drawn. His own free hand slid down to his other blade, a twin sibling to the crossbow blade already drawn and drew that with a slicing draw under his original katana and arm only to slice the pew in half. The man was demonstrating his speed again as both the mans swords pressed down on the one katana. Rippa squeezed the trigger just as the mans body flashed up and away. Both the bolt and the slash missing by a wide margin as the hooded figure easily maneuvered himself into the air and back away. The bolt slammed into the pew behind the one he just sliced in half smashing into it and leaving a torso sized chunk splintered.

As the man landed and drew a single blade after putting away the two he had used before Rippa rose to his feet. The Sword Abel in his right hand had fired one round. The bolt buried in the debree of the pew it had hit. With a spin he pulled the lever action to turn the next bolt in and then pulled back the hammer to pull the drawstring onto it. With Abel in his right hand and Cain in his left he tilted his head. He still had no proof that the man in front of him was actually after him. Perhaps now it was just a matter of pride. The individual was incredibly fast to say the least. Some effort would have to be fed into this confrontation. Still Rippa nodded at the mans words. "I suppose it is. If you are willing to test it then you must be somethin else as well. If at anytime you wanna stop and avoid injury...do feel free to let me know." Rippa smiled a soft warm smile. His blue eyes seemed to mimic the smile. Somehow his words sounded sincere. As if the idea was in play that if the hooded stranger wanted to stop Rippa actually would hold off his attack.

It was then that Rippa moved. A sudden shift to slide behind the chair he had been lounging in before he kicked it at the base with his boot. The kick hard enough to leave a resounding crack as it spun it up into the air. Rippa let his blue gaze lock onto the face hidden in the hood before he turned his right hand and with a resounding crash slammed the hilt of cain into the chair sending it flying at the stranger. If anything Rippa had strength enough for that. However even at the speed the large chair went spinning at Jurou Rippa followed it just as fast before launching up and over it. Both Cain and Abel were pointed at the chair and passed it the man. Any way the man would try and go Rippa would aim after him and open fire with both rounds loaded in. The chair was merely something to force the man to move or perhaps cut through it. Based on that connection earlier the man was either holding back or it was highly unlikely he could catch the chair. The only issue with Rippa's plan is he was expecting a sword fight. If the man suddenly used a jutsu to deal with the issue those two bolts would slam into it uselessly.
