Strength Training (D-3 to C Rank):
Skye stretched his arms up and felt a satisfying crack in his shoulders. He then turned his neck, then his back, snapping his joints and loosening any muscles. He was getting ready to train, and was making sure he wouldn’t pull a muscle or hurt himself while doing so. In front of him were a variety of weighted gear. The gear was rather heavy, and typically used for the training he would be going through. He knew working on his strength was important, especially for the missions he would be going on as an ANBU. If he were to be overpowered by an enemy, it could very well mean the end for him. Being able to overpower foes and swing his scythe around with ease would certainly aid him in any coming missions. With a quiet sigh, he kneeled down before the gear and started to strap it to his arms, legs and torso. Already, he could feel the weight of the gear trying to push him to the ground. Giving a good bit of effort, he stood up and slowly made his way to the foot of a nearby mountain path.
Skye had set up a bit of a challenge for himself. Since he was near the bottom of a small mountain, he was going to force himself to bring the weighted gear to the top, or at least try his hardest to. Knowing there would be a few walls and hills wasn’t going to make it easier. Skye grinned and thought to himself what a piece of cake this would be. With a heavy exhale, he reached a hand up and gripped onto the closest rock. As soon as he lifted his foot off the ground, his confidence dropped. The weights were a bit much and probably a little more than he should of have put on. For just a moment, Skye thought of bringing the weight down, but shook his head and started climbing. The additional weight was a lot to handle, but for Skye’s inability to back down from a challenge, he decided to go for it. He moved up the mountain at a steady pace, but was slowed by the sheer weight of the gear.
Eventually, he reached a small cliff of the mountain where he could rest for a moment. The cliff was about two-thirds a way up the mountain. Looking down, Skye chuckled at how far he had gone. He was getting exhausted from carrying the gear up so high, but there was still a bit of determination to get to the top. Thoughts of rest and relaxation after he was done training started to float around in his mind. He leaned his head back and took a deep breath. Slowly turning back to the wall of the mountain, he forced himself further up. Reaching a point where the mountain leveled off, he made his way to the center of the mountain and fell down on the ground. Removing the weights, he exhaled and stretched his arms out. Not having the weight on him made him feel lighter than air, and was an absolute relief. Slowly flipping onto his back, he rubbed his eyes and looked up at a few passing clouds. After a few seconds of lying there, he stood up and looked at the gear. His happy expression quickly turned to one of complete and utter sadness. “I have to carry those back down…” With an irritated sigh, he grabbed a few of the weighted gear and started back down the mountain’s path.
