Getting away from the ritual cave, dray watched as his legs moved to wherever they wanted. Not that he could not control them afterall, they were his but why control them when he knew not where he was going.... He just left them to wander as if they had a mind of their own. As he walked, all that appeared before him, beside him and behind him were stones alone. Why there were so many stones, he wondered. Perhaps, he was in a world of stone, like such a thing ever existed.
Dray kept on walking without stopping. He did not feel tired at all. As he walked, he kept his eyes fixed onto he ground. He was sick of seeing all theses stones every where he fixed his eyes on. Perhaps, if he looked at the ground while he continued walking and raised it up at a later time, then he would see something different. With about thirty minutes of walking and looking to the ground gone, dray looked up but all there still was was stone. He sat on the floor and looked back for some seconds. He wondered if he had been walking at all. Still, all he saw behind him was stone and then he concluded, he was truly in the stone world. Perhaps, this was what people meant by life after death. When someone dies, they would be transferred to another world. His own fate was to be transferred to the world of stones.
Still on the floor, dray layed flat on his back and closed his eyes as he drifted away.
"Welcome to the world of stone, Zennyo Ryūō". The voice would say as dray would feel a tap against his chest. He would open his eyes to see what looked like a person before him. The vision would be blurry at first as dray would rub his face with the back of his right hand after which the view would become clear.
"How was the trip". The voice would ask again and dray would finally reply... "What trip are you referring to? Yyou mean me walking for like forever and seeing nothing but stones.....? Is that your own definition of a trip. If yes, the trip was bad." Dray replied the man who looked to be in his sixties. Even then, he had white beards all over his face, white eye brows and even white moustache together with the white hairs on his head. He was not like any human dray had ever met. He was old yet physically fit or were the white hairs just natural?
The man would just smirk at dray's reply... "Follow and you shall see the rest of those who have lived after death in the world of stone...." the man would say while turning away and disappearing in the corner.
For a second or two, dray would try to assimilate the elderly man's words.. "Follow me", he understood that perfectly well. "And you shall see the rest of those who have lived after death in the world of stone...." This was the part that was most confusing to him. First, the man had welcome him to the world of stone and then he had asked dray how the trip was and now, he was talking about life after death? Did this truly mean that dray was.........
He put his left hand over his mouth as he gasped.
He raplidly got up and shot after the old man.
Standing freely in the distance, dray would see the old man who was probably waiting for him..
"Come" the old man would motion to dray as dray would comply and walk closer. Directly beside the old man, "look" the man would say as he would point forward...
Dray would stare into the emptiness as nothing else but stone again would be seen.. "What is this supposed to mean?" Dray would ask the man patiently.
"What an elder would sit on the floor to see, a child would climb up the mountain and still wouldn't see it." The man would say and smile as he would stamp the staff that was in his right hand on the ground as suddenly, right in front of them, regular people would be visible......
Dray would wake up to reality figuring out that he had been dreaming and he was not exactly dead yet. He would stand on his feet and keep on walking again with hope that sooner or later, he would find somebody. Just this one person. He felt it, he knew it.
