Haru wiped the sweat from her brow as she removed her hat, tossing it off to the side with her and her partners jacket and hat, and stood firmly. Her bare feet pressing the cold dirt beneath her as she got a feel for herself. The mountain air stuck to her, as she felt a light wind blow across the mountain's ground. Haru Struck out with her left palm, the hand flat and aimed for her partner's chest. Her partner you might ask, is Hai, who responded with a prompt mock high five, meeting hands perfectly with Haru and sliding Haru's hand upwards as she bent her knees and slid the bottom of her palm under Haru's arm and forced it upwards with her own left and struck out using her right arm, the hand with the fingers curled halfway down the palm and the thumb bent slightly to form a monkey's palm, the wayward hand quickly going down towards Haru's left leg.
To this, Haru attempted to leap back simply to have Hai grab her left arm using the hand that had slid under and pull Haru back into a punch to a gut that was delivered by her right hand that now to the preference of a fist, knocking the wind out of Haru as she fell down to the ground and gasped for air a moment, her black breeches becoming covered in dirt as she lay on her back gasping. Although Hai was concerned, she only watched and waited. This had happened to them both a few times so far, but they had to endure it, it was the price of becoming stronger.
Both just wished it didn't hurt quite so much, but they were getting used to it.
Haru after a few moments caught her breath, and from prone on the ground, kicked herself back up to standing, although she staggered lightly as she got her footing. Admittedly, both of their feet felt numb at this point, but at least the ground was dry where they were at. A small dirt training ground beat out for people to spar with their taijutsu.
Now it was Hai's turn to start, the habit of alternating becoming something they tried to get used to as they fought in order to make the best of the fact there where two of them. Hai dashed forward, her left palm out, but feinted, and threw her knee towards Haru's side in the last instant. Haru, who stood with her right foot forward and her left foot a tad back behind herself, greeted the feint and knee strike by moving forward into Hai and delivering a headbutt to Hai as she palmed Hai's stomach with both hands.
It was Hai's turn to be sent reeling, but she didn't get the wind knocked from her lungs, but she did land on her rear kicking up some dust and getting some in her mouth in the process as she gasped silently, but slid back, catching the earth with her feet, the ball of her feet and her heels curling lightly in order to ensure that she didn't scrape the flat of her feet.
Now Was Haru's turn. The blue haired girl stood still a moment gathering her thoughts. She had to do something to throw off Hai, not easy seeing as they often followed the same brain wave, rarely doing anything separate, both knew what the other one knew most of the time, apart from when they separated their minds for situations like this.
Haru decided her move. Haru creeped forward circling to the left, which Hai responded by closing in ever so slowly while circling to her own left. Both ever so slowly making their way about the circle before making it to the center, Haru stomped out as soon as she was in range down to Hai's Haru's left foot using her own right and leaning in with her right shoulder to force her body into Hai's chest, knocking the admittedly surprised Hai down. Haru figured she needed to practice tackling, and knew Hai wouldn't suspect it.
Down the tumbled, Hai on her back as Haru landed sideways on Hai, before rolling off of her and giving her a smile and standing, aiding Hai up as they nodded to each other, each acknowledging that was enough for now, they had been training for a while. It was time to pack up and go.
