Welcome to the first event of the Chuunin Exams!
Stretching out for miles before the participants, an enormous labyrinth has been constructed outside the main village with the combined efforts of many. This expansive maze with solid barriers of reinforced chakra will serve as the location of the first event. The participants have been gathered in front of the main entrance for an introduction, surrounded by proctors waiting to take each participant to their own entrance.
The objective is simple: arrive at the center of the labyrinth, where a crystal clear fountain awaits, rumoured to contain the mystical hero water that the village treasures. Whether this is true or not is known only to those responsible for creating and managing the labyrinth. The center of the labyrinth is not difficult to locate, marked by a great tree reaching up towards the heavens. However, the journey will not be an easy one. Creatures of disproportionate sizes lay in wait, creatures from myths and nightmares, natural - or not so natural - obstacles, and challenges galore. Master the secrets to surviving through them all to reach the final destination within the allotted timeframe to move up to qualify in the second event.
The maze has been designed so that no participant shall ever meet. Each participant will be moved to a different entrance to stand before an intricately designed golden gate, and upon the signal to start - marked by an unmistakeable sound of explosion and a beautiful array of lights released from the center of the labyrinth - the gates will swing open, allowing only the participant to go through before closing once more. Participants are allowed to bring whatever weapons they want, and are given a small survival kit, which includes:
Participants are free to use all jutsu that they are capable of using, as well as any skill that they possess to make it to their goal.

- Start your thread in the location you have been assigned with to start (random Point in the Great Tree Labyrinth forum, written by you IC), with any title you wish, but you must include the tag [CE-1] in your title. If you do not wish to make up a unique title, you may simply put your character name with the above tag.
- Make sure you read the - Takigakure Event Rules - as well as the introduction made at the start of this post. As mentioned, the start of the event is marked by a particular sound and sight, as well as the opening of gates.
- Each post must be at least 500 words.
The Scenarios:
- Upon the creation of the first post, users will have to roll the dice for their first scenario. To do this, click "Post Reply", instead of using the Quick Reply option in your Event 1 exam thread. In the Message section, write [Rolling for First Scenario], then hit "Send".

- A Scenario number will be given to you. Refer to the -Scenario masterlist - to match up the scenario you have been given, and follow the instructions to overcome the obstacle that has been provided. A scenario requires 1000 words to complete (they may be split into separate posts, provided that the minimum 500 word post rule still applies).
- Upon completion of the first scenario, you may roll for your second scenario. Go through the same process, but write [Rolling for Second Scenario] in the message box instead.
Completion:
- Only 2 Scenarios can be / are required to be done. However, the thread must have a total of at least 4 posts to count as a success - this does not include the dice-rolling posts. Your final post must involve reaching the center of the labyrinth as a conclusion.
- Once you are done, post in this thread with a link to your entry to be checked over by staff / event proctors. If your entry is deemed a success, your name will be placed under the Qualifying Participants category to await the next event.
Timeframe:
The end date of the exams will be announced two days before staff decides to close them. Entries that have not been completed / handed in by the set date will be disqualified.
Additional Notes:
- Participants may only use jutsu and items already in their locked jutsu list and lockers. Additionally, the stats you enter the exam with are the stats that you maintain throughout the exams.
