Zetsume Zix

Zetsume was of course walking beside his trusty dog Repede through the Takigakure market place looking for something to eat. The smells from all of the restaurants were inviting though he was having a hard time choosing. There was everything from Fried Twinking, as he was told, to cuisine styled food where people were dressed up to go to. Unsure as to which one he should eat at he finally flipped a coin with the top two choices in mind. The coin landed on a ramen shop choice, which was fine by him and Repede, they both loved it. Zetsume walked into the eating establishment and sat down ordering his food. Zetsume had decided on Chicken lo mein and so did repede. At first they wanted him out of the place but then they saw how well behaved he was and that Zetsume gave them a large sum of cash. They quickly brought out his food and the two ate with delight. After being full Zetsume decided it was about that time to begin looking for someone, someone to go on an adventure with him.

He had recently heard about the caves in Takigakure but he wanted to see them for himself. Their beautiful rumors and wondrous waterfall was more than enough to convince Zetsume to see it while he was in town.  Though going alone was never any fun. Sure he had his trusty dog with him, but he could not fully communicate. He needed a human interaction and would just about settle for anyone. His eyes peered through the crowds of people in hopes that he would find his companion soon. Zetsume stuffed his hands into his pockets looking for the right type of person.

Ryuujin was so excited to be here. He was at Takigakure to watch the chunin exams but that wasn't the only reason for his excitement. Takigakure had caves. Underground Caves with pools of water formed from a waterfall. It is said that the sun it the water in a way that caused the cave to give off a crystal like glow. Crystals were shiny. In conclusion Takigakure (which from now on he shall now refer to as Taki because Takigakure was a mouthful)  had shiny caves. Ryuu was bouncing and twitching in excitement. Even Kai, his Ninneko partner, and Mr. Whiskers, his teddy bear, had decided to come with him. Kai was looking all around her with interest instead of her usual expression of boredom.

But looking at shiny caves wasn't his only reason for being here. According to his sensei he needed to know more medical jutsu so here he was looking at the people around him. He was trying to find the perfect victim to practice on. Suddenly he was nudged by Kai who nodded her head in the direction of a boy (or man) who also seemed to be searching for something. Ryuu beamed. He looked so strong and sturdy. If he got a cut and his jutsu failed for whatever reason, Ryuu was sure such a capable looking person wouldn't bleed to death if complications occurred. Ryuu took out a pink lollipop out of his backpack, put it in his mouth and made his way to the boy/man he had spotted.

Yokochima Senju

[[OOC: I hope i am not bringing in to much action.]]

Yokochima started to yawn but forced himself to close his mouth and focus on the crowd in front of him. People from all the different countries were wandering around between the booths, some looking like civilians, some like shinobi from other villages and others again dressed in what seemed like crazy costumes. Altough he felt still somewhat tired and exhausted from the journey he also had a strange feeling of excitement upon coming to Takigakure. Especially upon coming to its marketplace, a place that seemed to have all sorts of sweets and treats in store. His mouth started watering again. I definitely should have asked for more money from Chisaki, i have barely enough with me right now to get through the day... He sighted when he thought of the small amount he was carrying with him and it cost him a huge chunk of his willpower to close his eyes, and his nose for this matter, and ignore the appealing existence of all the food around him while he was walking throught the marketplace.
Under different circumstances he would have tried to snatch some Ramen or Yakitori from one of the shops but he was strictly advised to stay away from pranks of any kind. Since he was taking part in the Chuunin Exams he would risk getting expelled if somebody would find out who he was. ...IF... This time the voice in his head was not his. For a second he took the... argument into consideration, he was a ninja after all wasnt he? There was a good chance he could get some food into his belly without risking to be seen. But then again... He shook his head, then turned it into another direction. This whole thing was a bad idea. His eyes wandered over the place, searching for something to distract him from his appetite. Suddenly he got stuck on a small sign that was attatched to a house. Crystal Caverns... He read on it.
Oy, watch where you are going, Boy! Yokochima felt a sudden resistance in as he walked into the big man in front of him. The man seemed to be wearing pieces of armor and was easily twice the size of the young genin. And also slightly fat. The impact made Yokochima stumble right into the person standing next to him. It appeared to be a ninja aswell, judging from the quiver featuring an unknown clansymbol on his back. But Yokochima only glanced at him for a short moment before turning back to the object he bumped into. Watch where you stand, old man, eh? When he took a look at the man and noticed not only his size and volume but also the bulging vein on his temple he pulled a strange grimace, a mixture between a grin and abrupt realization. Old Man? Who are you calling an old man, BOY? Oh boy...here we go again...you shouldve just listened to me and gotten that yakitori...oh shut up you... The Man had now fully turned at Yokochima. The young senju peeked at the direction where the crystal caves were supposed to be and considered taking a quick sprint. Who ever organized the Exams would probably not think to much about whether he had any bad intentions or not and Yokochima was not interested in staying a Genin all his life.
That fat guy is surely not going to be able to keep up with me...

It was the leaf genin’s first time out of Konoha, well technically. He had never been so far away from the fire nation’s borders before so the experience, while certainly worthwhile it made him feel anxious…and definitely more meticulous than usual.

So when he felt a shift in the wind, he had a feeling that he wasn’t the only one that walked the paths of the forest, the same paths that led to the deep and unforgiving caves of Takigakure, he heard rumours on the way here that the sparkly waters of the cave can heal any ailment that troubles an individual. He would be lying if he didn’t entertain the idea of the waters healing his hearing impairment, but he’s very acutely aware of such a thing is unlikely to happen.

He doesn’t believe in miracles, never have and never will.

His reasons for being in these unfamiliar lands are irrelevant, if he wasn't late for the sign ups he would've joined in with the chunin exams. But atlas, it wasn't to be. Perhaps he isn't meant to be a chunin this year.

His oak brown eyes shifted to a movement in the crowd of plebeians, a rather intimidating man with more body weight over the recommended healthy weight appeared to not take kindly to a seemly rash genin being rude. He can’t be sure, his eyes might enable him to lip-read from great distances, but doesn’t exactly mean he can lip read everything. Certain words have the same lip patterns so context of sentences can be difficult to understand, and let’s not forget it requires his brain to be able to fill in the gaps of missing words in sentences to make sense of anything.

He would’ve stayed out of it if it wasn’t for the leaf headband the genin wore. He felt obliged to help. With a sigh he jumped from the tree and dashed into the caves to intervene before things turn ugly. Surely two against one would make the irritated man back off? Similar to how a Gopher snake would back off if its prey – Oldfield mice – would mob the predator to warn him off.

Masaki almost chuckled at the comparison.
