D-rank
Motoichi, having stayed in Konoha for quite a while as just a visitor, decided to spice things up by visiting the Hidden Leaf’s Missions Office. And boy what a mess it was! There were people running all around the offices, papers were flying up into the air as they rushed on by and a few even clung to the air
He had been relaxing in a field with a bottle of booze, and out of nowhere a Chuunin ninja from the village came up to him telling him the lord Hokage had a mission and Motoichi had been inactive for a while so he was to take it. This kid ordering him around was 6 years younger then he, but was still given power over him. Motoichi really did not have a choice whether he wanted to do the mission or not anyway. He was out of money and needed the cash.
The Chuunin continued with the description of what he was to do. Apparently there was a gorilla enclosure somewhere near here and one of the adult gorillas had escaped it and was causing havoc. Though at the moment they didn’t know where. The Chuunin also explained that the people who owned the ape were also the ones paying for the mission and were paying more if the brute was still alive and well when brought back, but that was secondary, since an ape of that size was very capable of taking a ninja out if it wanted to.
Motoichi stood up and told the Chuunin, “I’ll get it done for you, so don’t you worry. Just tell me where you want me to deliver the ape.” He winked and started walking away, taking a last sip of booze. He turned and added, ”Well, there goes my relaxing morning, eh?” As he walked away, he corked his flask and strapped it onto his belt. He stretched his shoulders and started on his way to the small forest, where the Chuunin had said the ape was last spotted and Motichi would imagine that the place would make the giant ape feel more at home.
He started combing the forest and looking for any tracks of a big animal but all he could find was deer tracks and rabbit tracks. Maybe its not in the forest, Motoichi thought inwardly as he continued combing the forest. It was midday before he even found the first clue, a destroyed tree ripped apart and torn to pieces. Hmm I think I may be onto to something. Motoichi started looking for more destruction when he found a pulverized deer, not eaten or skinned but beaten to a pulp. The gorilla obviously was quite angry at something, which would make it hard to capture, he just might have to kill it. He then noticed that the corpse was very fresh, the blood matted onto what was left of the poor animal was still wet and not dried up yet, so that meant the corpse could not be more then a few hours old and maybe even a few minutes, on that note he pulled his kunai off his hip and held it at the ready, just in case the ape mistook her for an animal and decided that he should be pulverized next.
Motoichi kept up his search by following the wanton destruction of the forest, which was actually quite easy, until he found a dead black bear...with no head. The gorilla had killed a bear of that size and ripped its head off, how in the hell would he take it down if it could do that to a bear? But Motoichi really needed the money so he kept on following the path made by the beast. It was nearing midnight when he heard a roar, a very loud roar at that, enough to make Motoichi cover his ears to block out the sound. By the time that he took his hands off his ears, he saw it. A seven foot tall and five foot wide, jet black ape covered in blood from its past fights and eyes enraged for some reason Motoichi could not guess.
The ape stared at him for a moment and in that moment, Motoichi was actually scared, The beast’s arms were the size of tree trunks, and fists the size of watermelons, but he could not leave now. He would take it on and try his best not to die. He started spinning his Shuriken and attached his chakra strings to it, and just as he was going to throw it the ape rushed her, beating its arms against its chest, roaring a war cry loud enough to make all of the birds in the area fly away in fear. Motoichi could not let this come to a close combat fight, he would definitely lose if that happened, so the moment the ape went to strike him with his massive fist he imbued his kunai with his chakra strings and let it spin wildly in his hand, but instead of throwing it he swung it upwards to meet the apes arm before it could hit her. The kunai sent flesh and fur flying everywhere as the beast arm was cut down to the bone, he then threw it at the other arm, imbuing his chakra once again. The ape not having time to react, was hit full on in the arm by the kunai ripping deep into the ape’s other arm with continuous cuts as Motoichi worked the kunai with his strings. I’m not done yet. Just as the ape went to strike him with an Axe-handle strike to his head he used the chakra strings attached to the kunai to come back and strike the ape directly in the chest, spewing blood everywhere, and getting the kunai stuck in the chest of the beast as well. the Gorilla then roared and grabbed the kunai and pulled it out and throwing it at Motoichi, but not with the grace he had thrown them with so Motoichi just hopped over it, knowing the ape had seconds to liv. By looking at the gaping wounds in the ape’s body he was surprised that it was still standing.
The great beast gave a weakened roar, and stumbled slightly and almost fell completely over just as Motoichi picked up his kunai and placed it back in his hip pocket, knowing full well he had hit an artery it the animal’s chest from the amount of blood that was bleeding. He was not too worried about an attack from it anymore. The giant ape then fell onto its back and gave a last whimper, knowing its own defeat, it finally laid back and died in a pool of blood. His mission was complete, though it was a shame he couldn’t have saved the ape’s life.
