Thunder and lighting boomed and flashed all around, illuminating the night sky. rain pattered at the tree tops but with the dense forest only a drop every so often reached the grounds. no moonlight reached the floor and so the forest floor was dark, pitch black, well except for the occasional lighting strike every once in awhile striking the ground and the light moving through the trees. This was isolation, this was darkness.
Miah sat underneath a tree with her back leaning up against the trunk, stroking her cat who was purring with such delight that Miah almost cracked a smile, well almost. she stopped petting the cat and looked up to the canopy above, her mind was else where in deep dark thoughts. her cat made no effort to try and pester Miah for more love, she knew it would be uselss and so she snuggled up next to her owners and watched the forest beyond, probably hoping for a mouse of some kind to appear so she could chase it down and kill it. Miah's eyes glued to the canopy watched the leafs light up with blue as the lighting flashed above and the light waves desperately tried to make there way through the leaves and down to the ground, but with no such success.
It was cold dark and Miah had been sitting out her for hours not once did she show any form of emotion, not once did she smile or cry or laugh or sigh, nothing. She was a blank slate on the outside, a cold shinobi. which was all she was ever thought to be, hell she was the prodigy child after all going emotion less was easy for her, but on the inside, she was tearing her self to bits the pain she felt the raw pain and sorrow was more than she could ever recreate in any genjustu, it was more than she ever wanted to anyways, she wished the pain she felt apon no one, and never wanted to. Death felt better than the way she felt now.
Miah went back to stroking her cat she was sitting guard not far in front of her. she was such a good cat, never did anything wrong, knew when to behave, was loyal to every single one of her masters commands. she was a good cat and deserved a better master, but the cat stuck with her, and Miah was grateful. if not for her little companion she wouldn't know what to do hell she would probably be on the verge of total berserk right now, but she had her pet here and that was all she needed.
The rain continued on for a short while more and honestly this is why Miah had ventured out here in the first place. She came out her to be int the cold and the freshness that came with the air, that pure smell that soothing noise, that clean feeling she had. was the whole reason she had come out here, because the rain made everything feel better. well that and the fact that she needed to be alone, she always needed to be alone at night, because this was the time when her emotions came to the surface. after a day of suppressing she needed to release them and she did not want any one around except for her and her cat. However this time was different. For the first time in awhile she felt the need to have someone with her, some other presence to be near her, but this was highly unlikely considering the fact that it was a storm out here and only crazy people and her would be out in this kind of weather. Smokey the cat moved her body and climbed up Miah's lap and with both paws placed in the center of her chest she licked her face, seemingly knowing the pain that Miah was going through, and it helped but still still sat there, emotionless and alone.
