Clan History: Long ago, when demons ran rampant, a sole tree existed that would sap the power of demons so much so that the demons avoided it. It is this tree that this clan’s history is based upon. The tree in question is The Durian Tree of Demonic Knowledge that sits atop the same mountain as the Administration Building.

It is said that long ago, the founder of this clan made a deal with a demon to seal their soul within an object so that their spirit could live on forever within the object. To make this deal with the demon, he used the fruit from the tree as a way to control the monster. As with all diabolical pacts, the clansman was fooled and instead only his chakra system was put into the object. He was surprised to find that he did not, in fact, die on the spot, but instead had a small amount of chakra remaining in his brain that allowed him to continue living. The rest of his chakra was indeed deposited into an item that he chose, saving the demon from being punished. After all, dirt dealings don’t always go as planned, and the founder was no monster.

During the first few years of dealing with the changes that came with the demon pact, the founder discovered that it certainly didn’t come without some benefits. While it was difficult for him to use chakra flow throughout his body, it wasn’t impossible. This also meant that it was harder for genjutsu users to manipulate the chakra in his body, and his chakra system couldn’t easily be attacked by those who might be capable.

The founder knew full well that the contract between him and the demon was not singular in that it only affected him. The pact would be passed down to others in the village, essentially cursing the entire village. He lived on, got married, and had a child. It was a strange situation when the father had his child tested to see what had become of the demon’s contract, as it would seem that it had not been passed to the child. Now an older and more well respected man in the village, others came to him and told him of their own children who had inherited the demonic pact. It seemed that there was no rhyme or reason that discerned who would inherit the contract, thereby making this “clan” less so a pure family of inheritance and more or less a conglomeration of people from different families who have the contract.

Kekkei Genkai Description: The spiritual energy of the clan member is inserted into a phylactery of their choosing. This means that there is still physical energy in the body of the person, so the clansman must exert their energies towards their item to create and use chakra. The container may be a ring, medallion, cape or other regular item; given freely at the time of character creation. If one wants something like a weapon or armor to be their container, then it must be purchased first. The item is to be described in the SC category of the character application.

Since it very nearly makes it only difficult to utilize chakra, the demon who created the chakra gave sufferers of the curse a benevolence. Their bodies were made stronger so that they could better protect their item. As a result, members gain a +1 tier in Endurance.

Members of this clan also have the ability to change one of their eyes to show the symbol of their clan at will. Which eye it is is up to the user, and does not change. Using this ability, one is capable of enhancing their strength.

Clan members can eat the fruit of the Durian Tree of Demonic Knowledge with no later stomach problems.

Drawbacks: Due to the nature of the swap of energy into the phylactery, Puppetry and Medical Jutsu is impossible. Genjutsu used by clan members are reduced in power by one rank. Clan members will pass out if they use any combination of clan jutsu for more than 6 posts. Should the phylactery recieve a direct hit from a physical chakra based attack, it won't break but clan members will take damage from the jutsu as though the jutsu was a rank higher.

Description: Once activated, the user will blink and one of his/her eyes’ iris will have changed to that of the clan’s symbol, colored in the color that most resembles their primary element, denoting the contract with a demon. The body is strengthened with the primary element of the user. The technique can also be used by the secondary element of the user, but the secondary must be ranked A rank or higher in order to do so.
Fuuton - Physical contact with the user gets cut by a thin veil of wind around the user which causes 1 inch deep cuts into the point of contact.
Doton - Similar to having stone skin, physical blows are ineffective by the same rank of this technique and lower.
Raiton - Electrical current runs through their bodies. Physically touching the user(body or weapons) electrocutes the victim, reduces their reaction time by -1 for 3 posts.
Suiton - A thin veil of water coats the user, though not in such a way that it causes them to drown. When the the target makes contact with the user, water from the veil will come onto the target's body making them move sluggish to the point their speed are lowered by -2 tier but the effects last only for 2 posts.
Katon - The user is hot to touch. Physical touch with the user causes minor second degree burns which leads to scarring, thus reducing the strength of the victim to be lowered by 1 tier for 2 posts.

Reveal~ I've talked to Miles both before and after +1s were removed, and he said that it should be fine since people from my clan are paying an extraordinary amount of chakra to have +1 to jutsu power. But I've edited so that that it only works with one jutsu per post.

The 'Phylactery' SC should say "This person has all of their chakra stored inside an item on their person." or some such.

The +1 to Endurance is not balanced by any of the current clan drawbacks (as two do not apply to you, if any Akuma, and the third is very difficult to do).

Reveal: Change the wording so that this jutsu's effect can only be placed on any jutsu once for that jutsu's duration.

Vitalization should have lower-than-max damage amounts because it's maintainable.

Suiton - A thin veil of water coats the user, though not in such a way that it causes them to drown. Physical attacks that are 2 tiers lower than the user's endurance are glanced off.
Katon - The user is hot to touch. Physical touch with the user causes minor second degree burns which leads to scarring, thus reducing the strength of the victim to be lowered by 1 tier for the rest of the thread.

^these are not OK on Vitalization. Raiton, we're not giving stuns (which unless stated otherwise are paralyze + unable to do anything else) until A-rank. Suiton, it's scaling with a stat, which isn't allowed. Katon, it's permanent until the end of the thread, which isn't OK.

Reveal: This is confusing. You don't need to maintain to keep the +1 on the one jutsu. I made it -25 when it boosted 1 separate jutsu per post (which I didn't like). This version can be passed off with a normal chakra cost, no maintenance, and a 3 post cooldown after the boosted jutsu has ended.

Vitalization: Raiton's debuff is too big, Suiton's shouldn't stack, and Katon is too strong for one.

Speed: Not big enough of a drawback.

The Genjutsu, Medical, and Puppetry things don't work to balance very much, disclaimer (they do only a tiny bit because they together limit a good sector of jutsu from the clan). The +1 to Endurance tips it a bit one way. Add another functional drawback.

Overall, the jutsu are OK if a bit powerful (but the overuse drawback sees to their balancing).
