Description:
A passive ability of the Kotone Clan, users are able to produce nearly inaudible sound waves through the use of a sound-producing medium - ie. an item able to produce sound - and act as a sensory technique. Sound waves travel up to a specified maximum range, bouncing off objects within the specified radius, and returning sound waves alert users of their surroundings. Although this technique enhanced user awareness of their surroundings, it does not serve to increase their reaction time. The effects increase by rank, and are scaled by user rank. (ie. Genin - D rank, Chuunin - C rank, etc.)
D Rank - Sound waves bounce off the immediate surroundings up to a radius of 10 meters. Sound waves do not pass through solid objects, so if someone is hiding behind a tree that is located between themselves and the user, then the user will only be able to detect the tree. Users are able to detect a slight distortion if coming into contact with a D rank stealth jutsu.
C rank - Sound waves bounce off objects up to a radius of 20 meters around the user. Sound waves do not pass through solid objects, and this can cancel D rank stealth jutsu.
B rank - Sound waves bounce off objects up to a radius of 30 meters around the user. Sound waves can pass through solid objects not augmented with chakra by paying 5 chakra per post. This can cancel C rank or lower stealth jutsu.
A rank - Sound waves bounce off objects up to a radius of 50 meters around the user. Sound waves can pass through solid objects not augmented with chakra by paying 5 chakra per post. This can cancel B rank or lower stealth jutsu.
S rank - Sound waves bounce off objects up to a radius of 50 meters around the user. Sound waves can pass through solid objects without an additional chakra cost. This can cancel A rank or lower stealth jutsu.

Description: The user coats a small amount of fuuton chakra around their resonating item, altering its pitch high enough so that it does not emit an audible sound. This can only be applied to the item currently being used by the user to channel their passive kekkei genkai ability, and does not serve as a silencer for anything else.

Description: Collecting a mass of fuuton chakra like a second skin over the user's entire body, the user sucks out the space between the chakra coating and the user, creating a vacuum-like environment. This technique is activated upon the use of a sound-related technique, removing any and all mediums of sound travel to the user to protect themselves from their own techniques. This does not defend against anything else, as techniques with foreign chakra will pass through it easily, dispelling the sound vacuum shell while doing so.

Description: A skillful combination of sound waves and Taijutsu. Coating the area around both arms with chakra, every strike that is made towards an opponent transmits sound waves in the air between the fist and the target, using intense vibrations from the sound waves to compress the air particles within the small gap, taking on a semi-solid form.
D Rank - The air gap extends the strike up to 2 meters, acting as a solid surface with a 10-inch radius that pushes the target five meters back. If hit directly with the user's fist, minor bruising and abdominal pains - from the sudden contraction of the muscles - will occur at the point of contact, pushing the target one meters back as their body absorbs the impact.
C Rank- The air gap extends the strike up to 2 meters, giving the target major bruising when hit with the air gap (10-inch radius), pushing the target ten meters back. If hit directly with the user's fist, bone fracture (at point of contact) will occur, in addition to pushing the target two meters back. If hit in the torso area, severe abdominal pains can result in the coughing up of blood.
B Rank - The air gap extends the strike up to 2 meters. If hit with the air gap extension, the target receives major internal and external bruising, sending the target flying back 10 meters at a speed of 30 m/s - crashing into something will cause additional injury. If hit directly with the user's fist, bones at the point of impact will break.

Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement, the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance. This jutsu cannot be used in combat; only as a way to escape from a fight or thread.

Description: The user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands to attack foes. This small wave of lightning can only travel in a straight line and can only be fired from the user's hands, but can cover that 5m gap in one second. Anyone caught in the wave of lightning will receive small first and second degree electrical burns at random points throughout the body. Can also be applied through direct contact with the users hands rather than fired. Direct contact on any of the opponent's body's extremities will localize the burn/shock damage to that area, but will also slightly numb the body part slowing down its response time by 25% for 2 posts.

Description: By channelling chakra flow into a single part of the user's body (arm or leg), the user generates sound within the initially closed chakra medium that she has created. The time it takes to prepare this is negligible. Upon generating an appropriate amount of sound, the user uses chakra to redirect the generated sound waves, opening the medium and aiming the waves towards a target. The sound waves directly affect a target's inner ear, forcing them off-balance and often times making them nauseous - any chuunin or under will be rendered physically sick by the attack in the following post, higher ranks will find it annoying and slightly nauseating, but not affect them otherwise. This attack can also be used against physical objects, as sound can travel through most mediums. The closer together the molecules of an object are, the easier the sound waves can pass through and destroy the object. This can be used against non-chakra objects, or chakra objects up to D rank (does not work against incoming chakra attacks).

Description: A technique used strictly for inanimate objects. Concentrating a large amount of fūton-infused sound waves into either a fist or foot, the user hits / stomps once on the targeted object, forcing the compressed sound waves through the object - using it as a medium. The fūton chakra aids in maintaining the sound waves in a highly pressurized state, travelling up to 2 meters into the object before 'exploding', releasing the pressure suddenly and causing the object to break from within. If used on compacted objects such as a boulder, this will break it into several pieces. If used on surfaces such as sand or water, this will simply push outwards towards the surface - bringing anything within a two meter radius in the sand with it, and launching it up two meters into the air. This occurs within a span of a full post, and can not be used as a defensive tactic against incoming attacks.

Description: The user, forming the bird hand seal, lets out a piercing shriek in the direction they're facing, releasing a translucent sound wave that is semi-visible even without the aid of doujutsu. The wave is a crescent shape, with a radius of two meters, travelling forward to a total distance of 45 meters, with a speed of 35 m/s. The wave itself is not tangible, yet the Kotone clan kkg allows the wave to be able to deflect non-chakra enhanced projectiles up to C rank, and chakra enhanced projectiles up to D rank by closely mimicking the pitch of the elements the projectiles are comprised of and knocking it off course. Additionally, anyone hit by the wave - while not sustaining any physical damage - will be stunned by the powerful wave for two posts. Full body stun (paralysis) occurs to anyone of D-rank, while anyone of higher rank will have their equilibrium severely affected, reducing their movement coordination to that of a child learning to walk for two posts (speed is not affected, but balance and perfectly coordinated movements is impossible). For the duration of the stun, the victim also suffers from a persistent ringing sound in their ears.
