- Spoiler:
- Unification of the Clan-
The Yamada Clan is a rather young clan only about 50 years old.The clans birth was the dream of one man by the name of Akuma Yamada. Crystal release was a rare Kekkei Genkai and almost appeared randomly in people around the shinobi world. It was Akuma that wanted to find others like him-self. So with that in his mind he set out to find other users of Crystal Release. His travels took him all over the shinobi world as he listened to rumors to where crystal users could be. He traveled for years finding some with the Kekkei Genkai but they had all rejected the notion of starting a clan.
Finally after five years of wondering people began to join him in his cause to start a clan of crystal users. Not many people joined him in his cause but he had managed to recruit thirty other people to his cause which was a start he figured. Though complications quickly arose such as what the clan name would be. Everyone wanted their last name to be it and were at each others throats saying that their name was one that would strike fear into those who heard it. Akuma quickly took charge saying that they will have tournament and who ever wins will decide the clans name. The competition lasted for a whole week as each clan member fought against each other using the crystal some using the same jutsu while others used unique creative jutsu.
Finally at the end of the battle it Akuma who had won the competition. A lot of people saw it fitting since it was Akumas idea to start the clan in the first place. He had decided to name the clan after his family. Thus the Yamada clan was born once again. Everyone gave up their respective last names and adopted the Yamada name as their own. Now they faced another obstacle and that was to find a place they could call home. Again the clan wondered around looking for a place to settle but they couldn't find anything.Till they ended up in the Land of Earth where they found a small town by the name of Mibu. Akuma figured this was going to be the best place so they set up their clan HQ there.
Over the years the clan grew in size as more children were being born and the reputation of the Yamada Clan started to grow as well. The Yamada Clan had developed the reputation of being skillful assassins and developed the nickname Assassination clan. They assassinated feudal lords to even princess of countries. Soon enough their skill started to draw more and more attention to them. The shinobi villages had begun to acknowledge the Yamada Clan.
Joining Iwagakure-
As the years went on The Yamada Clan were all approached by smaller countries to join them as their milliatry force but each time the clan rejected the offers till one day a Jonin from Iwagakure entered Mibu village bearing a scroll from the Tsuchikage. It requested that the leader of the Yamada clan come to the village to discuss an important matter. Akuma who was still alive at the time decided that it would be best to attend since Iwagakure was so powerful.
Akuma set out with three other clan members as his bodyguard to Iwagakure. Two days past till they finally reached Iwagakure. When they arrived they were treated with great hospitality from the Tsuchikage. He had apparently arranged it so that all their expenses were paid. Akuma knew that it was sort of a bribery from the Kage but he wasn't going to reject it.
The day after they arrived a meeting was set between Akuma and the Kage. The meeting later several days as the Kage asked Akuma to join the Iwagakure. Kage stated that Iwagakure could use ninja with their talent in the village. Akuma first reject the notion of joining the Iwagakure village but the Kage made a great point at one point of the negations. He stated whats to stop him or other villages to just go in and eliminate the Yamada clan or force them to join them. So Akuma had to agree but he had to make it seem like he won.
Akuma stated that the Yamada Clan would join Iwagakure village only if they were given a small section inside the village to establish their clans new HQ also that the Yamada clan be allowed to have several special team in the ANBU force and . The Kage asked what kind of team are we talking about here Akuma. Akuma answered one that does what needs to be done behind the scenes. The Kage smiled and agreed to the terms. The contract was signed as the Yamada Clan had now become part of the Iwagakure village.
Present-
Today the Yamada Clan is a prosperous clan inside Iwagakure. They are respected by the villagers and known for their down to earth personality. Since the Yamada clan has joined Iwagakure the clan numbers have gone up from 30 to about 150. Over the years the relationship between the Yamada Clan and Iwagakure grew and is stronger than ever. The Yamada clan has produced powerful ninja in past and is still known as the assassination clan.
Kekkei Genkai Description: The Yamada can combine Doton and Fūton to distribute and control minerals in the air as well as in the ground, building crystal structures. Using Shōton, the user can induce a process which will crystallize any substance around them, such as bodies of water, moisture in the air, the ground, or even bodily fluids; turning them into weapons. The users of Crystal Release can also manipulate already existing crystals and crystalline structures. Due to the volatile nature of a living creature, there is little stability on which to build a crystal structure; crystals can only be formed inside another living being with a Shōton jutsu of B-rank or higher. The crystals most often are almost completely transparent, with a tint of some color, but can be more translucent if the user wishes it. The rank of Shōton is the same as the rank of the ninja's lowest constituent element rank. So, if a ninja has S-ranked Doton and C-ranked Fūton, Shōton would be C-rank. Crystal Release can be SS-rank if both constituent elements are as well.
~Crystals have a high melting point. Crystal constructs take 1 rank higher of offensive Katon to destroy.
~Crystals, in their natural structure, are inherently angular; Crystal Release turns this into pure sharpness at every edge and vertex. Unrefined materials pale to the pure honed piercing power of crystals. Crystal gains an interaction advantage over physical obstacles, treated as one rank higher than normal. Examples include:
- Any jutsu that would create something that has tangible, physical presence in the world to defend the user or would obstruct the path of a Crystal offensive technique.
Water Release, Lightning Release, Fire Release, Wind Release, Scorch Release, Lava Release, Storm Release, Cloud Release, Plasma Release, and Boil Release are unaffected by Crystal's advantage. This is only if they are in an intangible or liquid form, and do not form a physical obstacle (as in a wall) to prevent entry.) - Any substance produced by a jutsu that no longer has chakra actively running through it (i.e. left-behind Doton that may have had residual durability). This also applies to items that would attempt to defend against a Crystal jutsu; the Crystal jutsu in question would be treated as 1 rank higher for the purpose of the item's durability.
Drawbacks:
~Due to having an Advanced Element, the Yamada cannot learn a fourth one. Yamada clansmen must start out with (and cannot balance) the Hesitant (Specialization) SC.
~Due to its large basis of minerals, Crystal Release is weak to Lightning Release by 1 rank.
~In addition, if an offensive Suiton, Katon, or Raiton is used in combination with a compatible jutsu that is solely Wind Release (meaning that the two can plausibly be combined to form an amplified attack), the crystal structure of Shōton can be broken down with ease; both attacks receive a +1 against the Crystal jutsu, completely canceling any advantage the Crystal technique may have had, as well as stacking with any other weaknesses the jutsu can exploit.
~If exposed to a certain frequency, the crystals can be shattered with ease; all offensive sound techniques that physically damage based on vibration (not pitch-based stuns or any other aspect), regardless of specialization receive a +2 in interaction power when opposed with a Shōton Jutsu, though finding the correct frequency may take some time. (3 posts for the first jutsu used, 2 posts for the second, 1 for the third. -1 post needed for each rank above C the ability used is. This count lasts between threads, but is specific for every Crystal user.)

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:
- Spoiler:
- Name: 晶遁・変換の術 {Shōton: Henkan no Jutsu ~ Crystal Release: Conversion Technique}
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: D-A.
Type: Supplementary||Offensive
Element: Shōton.
Range: 15m radius. +10m per rank up. (2x range on non-jutsu targets.)
Specialty: Ninjutsu.
Duration: 1 post. -5 or -10 per extra post of control.
Cooldown: 3 posts at D, 4 at C, 5 at B, 6 at A.
Description: A technique that allows the user to crystallize any physical substance that does not have and emit a large amount of chakra of its own (thus it cannot affect a living being's cells). This can even crystallize ONE jutsu of its rank or lower, letting the user manipulate the crystal form of the jutsu against foes, dealing appropriate damage for the rank of this technique and the type of jutsu that was affected. The user can also choose to simply disperse the crystal. An item of equal rank can be affected by this jutsu if it is within 1m of the user. This jutsu has no effect on techniques which lack physical substance; however, any jutsu that uses water (which is easily crystallized) in any form as a large component is treated as 1 rank lower for this jutsu's purposes.

- Name: 晶遁・晶陣壁 {Shōton: Shōjinheki ~ Crystal Release: Crystal Encampment Wall}
Canon/Custom: Canon.
Rank: C-S
Type: Defensive.
Element: Shōton.
Range: 10m horizontal length of wall, +5 per rank up. .5ft thick, +.5ft per rank up.
Specialty: Ninjutsu.
Duration: 1 post to create, wall lasts until destroyed. -15/20 per post of repairs.
Cooldown: 3 posts after repairs are stopped.
Description: The user sends out a wave of chakra that turns into a tall (10m,+5 per rank up) wall of crystal, which they can shape into any form at creation. The wall is stationary, and will stay even if the user releases their control over the jutsu. It can withstand four attacks of one rank lower, or two attacks of the same rank before breaking; it can reduce the power of a technique one rank higher than it by 2 ranks, though it breaks in the process.. It's able to repair damage it's taken over time, should the user put more chakra in. The user can pump chakra into the crystal in order to repair it. After paying the chakra cost, damage equal to one jutsu of equal rank will be repaired on the next post. Assuming no other jutsu were used on the wall, it would be in pristine condition. (if an offensive jutsu of one rank higher lands on the wall while it is being repaired, the attack breaks through and hits with -1 in power. Any higher-rank jutsu will break through unencumbered.)
