Kurama

Kurama

D-rank
The Aftermath
Kurama walked back through the deserted streets of Kiri. The sun just barely peeking over the horizon. The red and orange ball of light illuminated the sky in an array of pinks and oranges. Kurama stopped in the middle of the street to gaze up at the sky. Kurama's face was splattered with blood that was now begining to dry with the early morning sun. Kurama smiled up at the sky, it was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen. Kurama stood there and bathed in the warmth of the early morninun, trying to recharge his battery from his fight with the smugglers just a little while ago. Kurama would start walking again, he was going towards his home. As he walked he enjoyed the silence that could be had even in the busiest part of Kiri. I have to do this more often He thought to himself as he neared his house.

Kurama opened the door slowly and quietly, not knowing whether or not his family had returned yet. He litsened closely, nothing; just silence. Kurama stepped through the threshold. Crinkle the sound echoed through the empty house. The foreign sound caused Kurama to freeze, his orange eyes scanned the room for any sign of danger. Finding none, Kurama looked down to see a white envelope exactly like the one he had recieved only a few hours earlier; his name once again scrawled on the front in black caligraphy. Kurama smiled, at the thought of another mission. Kurama bent over and reached for the envelope with a blood caked hand, and opened it. The sound of rustling papers echoed through the empty house once again. The letter read: "Kurama, we are aware that you just finished a mission and are probably tired but there is another group of smugglers who think that can do whatever they want and not suffer the consequences. These smugglers are part of the group you just took down earlier this morning.Could you teach them a lesson they wont soon forget. Our intel tells us their ships are located on the southwestern most dock. We dont know what they are smuggling, however we know that their reasons for smuggling it cannot be good. Good Luck." Kurama took a deep breath, turning the paper in his hands to ash. Kurama would rid the world of this human trash, but first he wanted to take a shower and get some food.

The warm water rained down Kurama's warm body, causing a slight tingling sensation to radiate throughout his whole body. His red hair clung to his face like a mop. The water around Kurama's feet was discolored, slightly red. The smell of blood hung faintly in the air. Kurama had to bathe in water hotter than most because a normal shower would feel cold to him. After toweling off, Kurama would put on a fresh set of clothes and put the old ones in the washing machine. Kurama walked down the hall from the bathroom barefoot. A thin steam rose from Kurama's feet as the water evaporated as he walked barefoot on the hardwood. He passed his sister Yui's room, the door was slightly open still. He restrained himself from peeping into his sister's room. Kurama really loved his sister and he respected her too much to go snooping in her stuff, no matter how badly he wanted to. Her room was filled with pink. Pink this, and pink that. It was kind of hard to believe that she was a shinobi. Kurama smiled as his sister's face flashed in his mind as he pulled her door closed.

Kurama grabbed a sandwich from the fridge that his mom had prepared for him earlier in the week. All of Kurama's meals were laid out for him week by week in case of an emergency. Although Kurama could cook himself, he enjoyed his mom's cooking the best. Kurama put the sandwich in his mouth as he threw on his black cloak. He strapped on his katana securely to his back and headed out the door. The sky outside was still an array of pink, orange and red. Kurama broke into a full sprint towards the westernmost port. Kurama ran at a wall and jumped into the air with a flip, landing safely on the roof of a building. He rushed, jumping from rooftop to rooftop towards his destination. As Kurama raced and bounded from roof to roof, he could see the shipyard growing nearer and nearer. Finally, he was about 30m from the shipyard atop a building

The shipyard had the same layout as the one on the opposite side of the island. Kurama took a bite out of his sandwich as he watched 3 guys unload stuff on a boat from yard. The yard was about 50m long by 20m wide with large stacks of boxes that had red writing on them, although he couldn't quite make out what they said from this distance. Kurama smirked as he leaped into the growing shadow of a nearby crate. The crate he leapt behind also had the red writing, he was sure it was a warning of somekind but what kind was it? Kurama lifted his head up and stared at the red lettering, it read :"Danger Flammable". Perfect. The one warning sign that Kurama loved to read the most. I guess that means that this will be over relatively quickly. So sad, I would have loved to enjoy this more. He thought to himself.

Kurama reached into the pouch on his leg and removed a kunai and peered around the corner of the crate to see where the smugglers were. One smuggler was about 5m to Kurama's right, with a clipboard checking their inventory. Another was 10m to Kurama's left behind another stack of crates was carrying crates from the dock to the ship. The last smuggler was on the ship, and appeared to be supervising the other two. Kurama would inhale and make a tiger seal, the kunai in his right hand. Kurama would then release a fire ball the size of a bus towards the smuggler to his left that was behind the crates. The giant fireball crashed into the crates, swallowing them and the man who stood behind them. The man's screams where heard for a split second, and then the crates exploded. The explosion was 10m high and 5m wide, the heat from the explosion blew past Kurama. He smiled devilishly.  "Who's there!? Show yourself!" The man 5m to Kurama's left yelled. Kurama backflipped onto the crate behind him, and then backflipped again off the crate. During his backflip, Kurama would release his kunai at the man with the clipboard's eye. Kurama hit the ground and spun towards the clipboard man as the kunai was still in the air. Kurama launched another Kunai aimed at his midsection a couple seconds after. The clipboard man moved to his left and avioded the eye kunai and then spun to his right, barely avoiding the other kunai. Kurama smiled, that was exactly what he had wanted to happen. Kurama drew his sword and stabbed the man in the side. The familiar sensation of his sword sliding through flesh sent a chill down Kurama's body. The sword was aligned perfectly between the man's ribs. The man screamed, Kurama pushed his sword in harder, causing it to slide gracefuly into the mans lung. The man choked, a gurgling noise comming from his mouth followed by blood drooling from his mouth. The man fell to the ground gasping for air. He stopped gasping after a few moments as his lungs filled with blood and he drowned.

The man lay there, creating a pool of blood on the ground near Kurama's feet. Kurama would then turn his attention to the man who was on the boat with the crates that the other two goons had loaded on previously. Kurama would make a tiger seal again and launch a fireball at that man as well. However the man dodged it this time. But thanks to the 50 odd crates that were already loaded onto the boat there was no escaping the blast that was sure to happen. The fireball collided with the ship, igniting the large wooden ship. The crates caught fire. Everything went silent for a moment. A large 30m tall 20m wide fire ball enveloped the ship. The resulting shockwave sent Kurama flying back several feet into a nearby crate. The heat singed his cloak, and his hair. That, was awesome! He thought to himself as he picked himself up, his ears still ringing slighty from the blast. Kurama swung his sword to his sword to get rid of the blood before placing it back ino its sheathe. Kurama looked briefly at the desolation he had created here today before jumping over a creat and hutled back to HQ to give his full report.
