The sun was shining down hard on the hills where Kenta was sat, underneath a small oak tree, just covering him from the suns warm rays. The gently flew by him, the breeze cooling and soothing his forehead and neck. Honestly! It should never have to be this warm. Ever! Kenta was due to strip down to only his t-shirt and shorts, which he rarely does but since he wears depressing clothing that's nothing but black, he can't complain...
Pulling out a small cloth from his side pocket, he wiped his forehead and neck, clearing it of the pungent sweat that had gathered around. He didn't bring his sprays to make him smell better since he had thought it was going to rain earlier on, when a group of dark clouds had been making there way to the village. False alarm and now Kenta smelled like a foot. Oh joy!
He scratched his head, deep in thought of 2 things: If he was to go home for his sprays then maybe he could make it back in time for the client which raised the second thought. Where was he anyway? He should've been there an hour ago with the dogs that he was told to handle. I know in my previous mission I complained about dog jobs but now someone's taking the piss right now! He thought to himself, steam shooting out from his nose and ears. His frustration was getting worse by the second. not like him to get easily frustrated but then again he has been on edge for no apparent reason lately. Oh well, he's bound to calm down sooner or later.
Getting to his feet; Kenta had decided to make a run for it to his house and be back before the client got there! Cracking his neck and knuckles he ran round the left side of the oak tree, kicking up grass as he left off on his right foot but just as he got round to the side a huge, fluffy, over-sized dog leaped at him and seemed to almost grapple with Kenta. In shock Kenta seemed to freeze and hit the ground hard with a thud and a small 'Eep' noise as he made impact with the grass. The dog had pinned him down and began slather his face with saliva as the dogs spongy tongue slapped on Kenta's chin and made it's way up to his forehead. Eww!! Kenta's limbs seemed to flail relentlessly in the air as he pleaded for help from this beast!
The dog suddenly stopped and turned it's head back, looking behind it. Kenta couldn't see what it was but he was thankful. Up to the point where the dog got off of him, pressing down hard on his testicles as it leaped off. Kenta felt a pain like none other and sprung up so fast that his face was the implanted into someone's knee cap. His face seemed to have molded shape into the knee cap as he sat there in a silence.
The man got up and started screaming as he held his knee while Kenta's face popped back into position. The pain wasn't as bad as what the dog had done and it seemed to take away some of the attention from that area but not alot. Kenta felt as though he had wanted to just end right there. When will I get a good day!? He thought to himself as he screamed in pain, hurled up into a small ball of strong emotion!
After they had both finished howling like little girls, not much of a change for Kenta when in pain; Kenta pushed himself up from the hard ground, the blades of grass swaying in the wind between his fingers. He turned and looked at the feral looking young man. He looked around the same age as Kenta was and he looked even more angrier than Kenta. The boy stormed over to Kenta and grappled his netted shirt, pulling Kenta towards his face and growled. Kenta was not about to let this idiot boss him around.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!?" The boy shouted at Kenta and almost immediately Kenta kicked up his bottom half and slung his body around the boys arm, grabbing it and twisting it behind him.
[i]"Just calm down, it was obviously a mistake. I apologize but your dog didn't help."[i] Kenta said in a hushed tone, pushing the boy away from him. He could tell this was going to be a long day.
Hours went by as the two became acquainted. The boy's name was Kota Inuzuka, his mother had left him with the house jobs, which included looking after the dogs, while she was away out on a mission. Kenta shared little detail of his past. He wasn't a kind of person to trust people easily but he fed Kota what he needed to know.
As they were walking the dogs by the small river to their left, two of the younger dogs had sneakily chewed through their collars and were already running at full speed ahead in circles, chasing each other in a playful matter. Kota and Kenta's face went white. Kota explained, in detail, of his mothers rage, how ice was warmer than her heart when she was angered. She didn't sound like a woman you want to annoy at all! She sounded nice when she was happy though. It wasn't long till his mother was to come back from her mission so they didn't have much time left. Kota went after the dark haired one with white patches scattered across it's body while Kenta was pitted against the full white haired pup. This thing ran like lightning. Kenta had his work cut out for him but he wasn't about to give up! Cracking his knuckles, he prepared himself for a chase.
Having leaped off from his left foot, he ran after the dog at full speed. The dog had stopped in it's tracks, staring intently at Kenta as he seemed to fly towards it. Something seemed off but Kenta figured his chase was just about finished. Just before Kenta had bent down to grab the dog, the dog leaped into the air and somehow waved as Kenta watched, still running dead ahead but to a small cliff with a lake at the bottom of it. He seemed to run on for awhile until he realized what was happening. When he did though he began frantically flapping his arms, the thought of him flying out of this problem was stupid though. He crashed hard and painfully into the surface of the water where a huge rock was sat, just underneath the waters surface, cloaking it's appearance in a moss-like casing. Kenta went limp and seemed to float away...
After what seemed like a lifetime of drifting slowly away into nothing, he met back up with Kota and the demon dog from hell, he spat out a gallon of water and brushed his wet hair back with his hands; the water from the lake rolling off at the ends of his hair. Kota let out a huge laugh, even crumpling down into a ball while the demon dog copied him. Kenta's golden eyes flashed with a red flame as he stomped his left foot down hard, clenched his fists and released fire from his mouth as his day was just punted down to the worst. Alot more worse than his painting job. They went back to Kota's home where he thanked Kenta for the company and the laughter. When will things get better?
