Clan History: Before becoming Shinobi, the Hebisho worked as circus performers. Their flexibility and ease of movement made them beloved contortionists and acrobats. Some of the Hebisho, however, were displeased with their lifestyle.
One man in particular, by the name of Kazuo Hebisho, dreamed of a different life entirely; the life of a Shinobi. He was the man who created Hasai Hebi, the martial art that the Hebisho would one day master. Kazuo taught this martial art to his fellow clansmen, who seemed to take to it like fish to water. In just a few short years, Kazuo had convinced his clan to leave the entertainment business for good, and instead home their skills as Shinobi. He had also taken his place as the clan's leader, and was able to secure a permanent home for them in the Hidden Leaf Village.
As the generations rolled by, the Hebisho became more and more accustomed to their Shinobi lifestyle. Not only mentally, but physically. Their strange anatomy was now more suited to Hasai Hebi than their original occupations doing flips and crawling into tight spaces.
Today, the Hebisho are very adept Taijutsu specialists, and effective all around Shinobi. Their most desirable quality to some, and least to others, is their emotionality. They live within a small compound, which is more than adequate for a relatively small clan. The Shinobi don't consider themselves superior to anyone because of their bloodline, and the children are taught to trust more in their academy teachers and instructors than their fellow clansmen. There is no need for specialized training, since Hebi Kawa comes to the Hebisho as naturally as walking and breathing, and Hasai Hebi is taught like a recreational sport.
Kekkei Genkai Description:
- Hebi Kawa:
- The Hebisho clan possesses a unique genetic makeup, which gives them the crushing power of a constricting snake. However, they possess the human intelligence to maximize the force put into their submissions. For example, a python may maintain his maximum squeeze of 40 lbs of force for up to three hours. A Hebisho can apply ten times that (400 lbs) for up to five posts, but the power decreases by half for every three posts it is used after that.
This is because the slow twitch muscle fibers are much more prominent in the Hebisho than other humans. Due to this fact, the Hebisho are able to achieve a strength boost to one rank above their current rank, as long as they are able to maintain this level of exertion. For example, a punch would not receive the strength boost. Attempting to move a large log would.
The Hebisho can also weaken the integrity of their bones at will, to a point where they are almost non-existent. This allows great flexibility, and snakelike movements when grappling. The spine, however, must always stay mostly in tact.
- Hasai Hebi:
- The Hebisho utilize a unique style of Taijutsu, which they call Hasai Hebi. The rest of the Shinobi world refers to it as 'The Gentle Death'. Hasai Hebi is a grappling style that focuses on submissions and positioning to completely incapacitate or kill your opponent. Leverage is a key element in the style, as is flexibility of both mind and body.
There are three forms of Hasai Hebi. The first is designed for use against unarmed opponents, or competitive settings. It focuses on various submissions to either force the opponent to submit, or face serious injury. This form is called Kōsoku.
The second form focuses on facing armed opponents. In addition to submissions, it incorporates extremely devastating attacks and methods, such as eye gouging, fish hooking, and attacks to the groin or spine. This form is called Shukketsu.
The third form focuses on grip strength and anatomical knowledge of both the body's pressure points and Tenketsu points to disrupt the Inner Coil System's ability to send chakra to various parts of the body. This form is called Teishi.
Drawbacks: No member of the Hebisho clan may take 'Bulky' as a negative characteristic, because their clan's fighting style focuses on flexibility and maneuvering, and it is unusual for a Hebisho to have a bulky figure.
Hebisho are required to take the 'Stamina' positive special characteristic, to simulate the naturally prominent slow twitch muscle fibers. They are also required to take 'Hesitant (Specialization)', because they are such a specialized clan, and feel uncomfortable with other methods.
As a final forced negative characteristic, Hebisho must take 'Pharmacophobia', due to their strange genetic makeup.
Hebisho must take Taijutsu as a primary specialization. While choosing grappling is not a requirement, it is what the clan's physical abilities are suited for, and is most commonly used.

Additionally, at Jounin level, the user may precisely attack a large tenketsu point in the stomach, disabling chakra production in them entirely. However, this technique requires a 'Negation Surge', which also disables chakra usage in the user for the same number of posts. Note that these are not strikes. The user forces their thumb into the tenketsu points, temporarily crushing them.
