Suzuna
D-rank
It was one of those days she wished she would’ve stayed in bed. When she got up, she only found a note on the kitchen table, basically explaining the fact why it was so quiet in the house. Everyone had something to do that morning.
Both her older siblings were on some stupid lame mission, her younger sister had a meeting with her squad again (seriously, what kind of nerd sensei was that?), Tomasu had school today and her parents were at work.
Freaking awesome. Suzuna let out a dramatic sigh, already anticipating the feeling of boredom which was bound to come sooner or later. A loud bark snapped her out of her thoughts when their dogs Akita and Saphira dashed into the kitchen. It wasn’t hard to figure out what they wanted from her.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get it for you,” she grinned and poured some dog food in their bowls, which they gulped down – too hungry to chew – as if they hadn’t eaten in three days or so.
Suzuna rolled her eyes. “One day, you two will choke on your food.”
A glance at the clock would then reveal to her that it was almost 11 a.m. or in other words, time to do something productive. It resembled a miracle as she actually got dressed in her usual attire and decided to go train for a bit.
While Saphira started running laps in their huge garden, Akita followed Suzuna, obviously wanting to come along.
“Aw, I don’t know if dogs are allowed on the training grounds.” Short pause. “Tch, whatever, I’ve never seen any signs with dos and don’ts there. So let’s just go!”
~~
The place was pretty much empty except for two boys training – not together, each on his own. How boring. Akita immediately started looking for food, turning into a vacuum cleaner for anything eatable she might stumble on. Suzuna could only hope that her dog wouldn’t find a mouldy sausage sandwich or whatever the cool kids had for lunch these days.
Her thoughts were cut short abruptly when she stepped on a sharp item. “OW!” she squealed, only to see that the thing which had almost torn her foot in half appeared to be a shuriken. Oh, plural – there were a handful of shuriken lying on the ground. The heck.
A smirk spread across Suzuna’s lips as the pain faded. Perfect! Some hobo must have left the projectiles there. She had forgotten her own weapons at home anyway.
With the same grin plastered on her face, she picked up one of the shuriken and threw it against a tree – for training purposes. A simple thing to do – After all, she needed to warm up first. Uh… at least it was meant to be simple.
Unfortunately, the shuriken missed its target by just an inch – okay, busted, maybe a few inches – and flew towards... one of the two boys training. Oh shit.
“OUUUUUUCH! THE HELL!”
The shuriken had hit the boy’s leg. Tears glistening in his eyes, he looked around and screamed in hot fury, “WHO DID THAT?!”
Oh-oh. Suzuna quickly wanted to cut and run, but then someone else tapped her on the shoulder. It was the other boy and he didn’t look all too happy, either. “HEY, you bitch! Those are my shuriken!”
Before she could say anything in her defence, however, the wounded boy pointed at the other male.
“WHAT?!! YOU SHOT THE SHURIKEN? I’M GOING TO KILL YOU! ”
A moment later, they were chasing each other across the training grounds. Suzuna breathed a sigh of relief. “Phew, that was close.”
She wondered for a second what she should train next. For a second.
Then she dismissed the thought with a wave of her hand and lay down on her back beside a shady tree. Time to take a break.
From the corner of her eye, she could still see Akita going on patrol with her nose to the ground.

Personality: Akita stands 22 inches tall at the shoulder. She is very intelligent, stubborn, playful and most importantly, ALWAYS hungry. Indoors, she tends to be a real couchpotato (unless she starts looking for food), but the moment you go out with her, she turns into a bundle of energy.
She also loves water; if there is anywhere a lake nearby, you can bet on her jumping in.
Akita is very loyal to Suzuna and always stays close by her side.
