CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
Fists wept red tears, even through the white cloth bound around them. A soft laugh left his lips, a crazed look of pleasure etched upon the face: a sort of sadistic pleasure, drawn from the destruction of the the tree before, from the pain in his hands. Blood sprayed into the air in such a fashion that the ground was dyed crimson; even his clothes were covered in the sticky red vitae. Not that he noticed; the mind was focused on the task before him
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
Delicious pain...
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRACK!
Sweet Sacrifice...
CRACK!
"FUCK THIS!"
The mind returned, but only for the briefest moment; just a second, only to unlock the next level of insanity. A flood of energy poured into the body like never before. The high pitched giggle rang out, the fists moving faster, striking harder with no reguard for his own personal safety; the chakra flooding through the forearms, down through the fists was barely able to help keep them together. With another punch, the result he wanted was achieved; the fist piercing through the trunk of the tree, causing the young oak to groan in pain.
Pure delight crossed his face as the fist was withdrawn from the tree. Black eyes looked upon the damage that he'd cause the flora; cracked wood; whole sections of the thick trunk reduced to sawdust and gorged out.
You can do so much better..
Was that a challenge? From the ground, his sword was lifted by way of his shadow. His left hand gripped the saya, the right grasping at the hilt. As the hands came into contact with the weapon, the chakra was surged through the blade as the male concentrated on the section of the tree that he was about to destory. The world around him seemed to slow down as he stared at the tree before him. His breathing became deep and even, the rush of power that he felt before was now given focus; a purpose that needed to be completed. The goal? To cut this tree down in a single swing. As he concentrated, the fingers tightened on the hilt, drawing it out in a violent arc. As the blade moved through the air, the chakra enhanced it, giving it a better edge than before as it bit into the trunk of the tree.
The young oak groaned in pain as the steel severed the connections that it held to its life, tipping backwards to crash onto the forest floor. The male grinned before flicking the blade to 'clean' it and returning it to the sheath. He needed more practice with his sword, but for now, this would be enough...

- Jutsu used:
- Name: Shadow Gathering Technique (Kageyose no Jutsu ~ 影寄せの術)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: C
Type: Offensive | Defensive | Supplementary
Element: Shadow
Range: The user's shadow + 10 metres
Specialty: Ninjutsu
Duration: Up to 3 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts [cooldown starts once deactivated]
Description: Shadow Gathering Technique is a basic technique where the Nara Shinobi manipulates a single strand of shadow from their shadow, which they use to manipulate objects in the environment. Unlike many Nara moves, this requires no hand seals, and simply requires the Nara willing it. Once activated, a thin fibrous strand of shadow can grow and be freely manipulated from their shadow. It has no edge or tip, but can be used to slap with the force of the user; more than enough to knock down incoming projectiles, as well as picking up and re-firing scattered projectiles in the environment. The Nara clan's control over this limb is incredibly accurate, as if it were their own hand, allowing them to operate complex tasks like weaving it through tight spaces. Activation costs 15 chakra, and for every turn afterward that it is active, it costs 5 chakra.

- Jutsu being trained:
- Name: Iaidō (居合道, lit. Way of Iai)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: E
Type: Offensive | Defensive | Supplementary
Element: /
Range: /
Specialty: Bukijutsu (Kenjutsu)
Duration: /
Cooldown: Four posts
Description: This jutsu is divided into two abilities, an active and passive. Both abilities relate to one another greatly.
Passive: The term Iaidō (居合道) refers to a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The linear motion and force applied to draw the sword from the scabbard results in slashes that are faster and stronger than ones executed with the sword already drawn. Practitioners of this technique are, in theory, exceptionally fast shinobi capable of initiating combat in such a manner with this style that many fights will end before they start. Used defensively, Iai is capable of delivering unexpected blocks which in turns allows for hasty counterattacks.
Active: If the user's speed and reflexes are greater than or equal to that of thier opponent, and the opponent is within 10 meters of the user, the user can interupt the casting of a jutsu that requires handseals or a signifigant casting preperation period (Concentration), immediately putting the attempted technique on cooldown by attacking the hands of the opponent. This effect can only be used once per post, and has a cooldown of three posts.
Note: Any ninja with kenjutsu can use the base prinicple of Iaido without this technique (Drawing strikes and the like) but in order for them to perform the jutsu interuption, they must have this technique trained.
