1 Ahlam(wip) Tue Jan 28, 2014 9:01 pm
Hiromasa
D-rank
Clan: Ahlam
Kekkei Genkai: Grand Genjutsu
Elements: None
Specialization: Genjutsu
Location: Kumogakure(locked)
Clan History:
There are many kinds of merchant in the shinobi world, from blacksmiths to cooks, potters to butchers. The Ahlam clan is one such group, offering unusual wares: Dreams. Pleasant genjutsu of all kinds are the bread and butter of the Ahlam, and the indirect cause for the negligible presence of contraband substances in Kumogakure.
At a price affordable to any layman, you can spend what feels like a full day in a near-flawless illusion to your specifications and, for those with money to burn, you can live out years on a private island, as a rampaging warlord, or whatever you like, ending the illusion with only a short time having passed.
While there is, naturally, a sense of disappointment at returning to reality and a certain desire to create repeat business, in general it is found that purchasing the services of the Ahlam is an overwhelmingly calming experience, helping their customers deal with the harshness of life and return refreshed and prepared to continue on.
Of course, such power also summons the attention of military interests, and some small number of Ahlam serve the Kumogakure military, some fulfilling their usual roles as stress-relief facilitators, as well as more combat-oriented roles as team support or interrogation.
Kekkei Genkai Description:
Ahlam wield genjutsu with the same ease as most people breathe. Genjutsu cast by them at all ranks are able to manipulate the target's perception of time and are tremendously difficult to dispel, with pain infliction having no effect and for the purposes of genjutsu kai, their jutsu are 2 ranks higher than normal.
Additionally, spending most of their youth training in placing others in genjutsu and practicing on each other, they are extremely adept at picking up on genjutsu and unraveling them with little effort. They can freely dispel any genjutsu of their own rank or lower and pay 2 ranks lower to dispel other genjutsu with kai.
Drawbacks:
Ahlam are masters of genjutsu to the absolute exclusion of anything else. As such, they cannot take specializations other than genjutsu and cannot have elements. Members tend to be slow and deliberate, even in combat, being two ranks slower than other shinobi of their rank reason(Movement speed only, reflexes are as normal).

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:
Name: Twin Paradises
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Element: /
Range: Any
Specialty: Genjutsu
Duration: -
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description:Usable after an opponent places them into a genjutsu, the Ahlam drags the enemy caster into their own jutsu before twisting it, changing the illusion into one of a paradise of the Ahlam's chosing. The two will share this setting through the duration of the genjutsu that has been taken over, with each post seeming like a full day, or until one of the pair breaks it, ending the genjutsu and freeing them both. This jutsu requires no handseals.
Name: Peace
Canon/Custom: Custom
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Element: /
Range: 5 meter radius around caster
Specialty: Genjutsu
Duration: 4 posts
Cooldown: 6 posts
Description: Casting this technique, the user releases a small amount of chakra in a 5 meter radius around themself, causing a powerful, pleasant smell that varies with user preference and can change even between castings. Anyone the caster choses who smells this scent is transported to a calming location crafted by the victim's own mind, with every sense subtly stimulated to maximize relaxation and non aggressive action.
This lasts for 2 posts, each feeling like roughly a week in the target's mind, long enough that they wouldn't still be in the mindset of a combatant, suddenly dropping them out of it at the end of the second post. Due to a combination of surprise, disorientation, and someone who's just had two weeks of vacation time not being all that combat ready, they are severely restricted in their combat capability for 2 posts, only able to use jutsu 1 rank below their own.
