D-rank
Brotherhood (Sword, B-Rank) Dissidia-Brotherhood
Name: Brotherhood
Type Of Weapon: Sword
Rank: B
Elemental Alignment: /
Ability/Function: This is less an ability as it is an addition that Raijin himself added shortly after he recieved the blade. Under the watchful eye of his Grandfather, he enscribed the glyph that forms the base of his clan's Fuuinjutsu style. The seal itself was left open, which means the glyph on it's own is completely useless. However, when Raijin applies the proper chakra, he is able to temporarily close the seal and add the appropriate changes to create different Fuuinjutsu seals for a short amount of time. Any seals created this way last 1/2 as long as they normally would if applied by hand or through more normal means. Only Fuuinjutsu seals of B-rank or lower may be used this way as any stronger seal would shatter the blade. The blade itself may channel up to 5 D-rank, 3 C-rank, and 1 B-rank seal per thread, before the sword incurs too much damage and can no longer be used in the thread without a significant (20 posts) wait.
Close/Long Range: Close
Appearance: This blade is far more ornate then most; with a strangely shaped blade. It has a short handle, obviously meant to be used single handed for the most part. It lacks a proper guard; instead the blade itself is wide and oversized where it connects to the grip, with gold and yellow guilding. The blade itself is blue and fairly long, roughly 3 and a half feet in length. At the tip of the blade is a protrusion that is shaped like a hook of sorts, and can be used as such if needed. There is a short bit of cloth attached to the hilt via a small metal loop, that is mostly for decoration. The blue coloration is purely decorative, as the blade is made of average grade high-carbon steel, with a cobalt enameling that gives it the color. The enamel adds no strength to the blade itself; and has been known to flake off somewhat in fights. Raijin carries a small vial of the pre-colored enamel to touch up when needed.
History: This blade is a family hierloom of sorts; Raijin's grandfather commissioned it as a functional art-piece. The blade is so ornate by most standards, that you would not believe it could be effective; however so long as it is properly maintained, the sword is just as lethal as any other blade. It was presented to Raijin for his 16th birthday, and since then, he has trained eclusively with it.

I don't really understand what this does. All it says is that it can put a seal on the blade and it's a weaker version that the normal one. This makes no sense to me, as one can already do that with fuuinjutsu. Also, what is it made of? (If it's not a basic metal, then you'll have to describe what can break it)

It's basic metal; just colored blue. The point is to transfer touch-based seals at a greater range; to start combos or offensive jutsu. With a limit, obviously.

Anymore issues with this, or should I just deduct the ryo and move along?

Sorry, been really busy. "Basic metal" is far too vague. There's many metals on the periodic table.

No worries Midnight. Changed it to high carbon steel (basic katana type) and explained the blue coloring.
